The room we were in, we enjoyed the view of the streets, there was a dresser, and the staff were nice and friendly. There wasn't a down payment for deposit which was a plus. It definitely a one night stay for a solo trip if traveling alone and it's 15-20 minutes walking distance to Japan town.
Definitely found hair in the towels, window didn't have locks, and the room was a lot smaller than I thought. The bathroom is also small and fits one person at a time. The air vent in the bathroom leaked brown liquid over the toilet out of nowhere. Minimal amount of space for two people with two large suitcases, microwave made a buzzing noise but still worked. There's no AC or fans but the window makes up for the cool air at night besides the loud cars and motorcycles passing by.
I like how we didn't have to give a deposit.
I did not like how there was no A/C. I wish we had a fan at least. There was no screen protector on the window. Speaking of windows; our window did not close or open correctly. I had to pull the window open and put a wooden block to hold it up. The room was not clean yet when I got there and was assigned another room. That room was also not cleaned so we waited for the first room to be finished and being cleaned. There are no elevators, so I do not recommend this hotel to the disabled. This hotel has no assigned parking and parking is horrible in the area. I don't recommend that people who are driving stay at this hotel. If you are doing a one night stay; I recommend this hotel. Besides that I do not recommend this hotel to family and those who are staying for very long.
Excellent location in a nice quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed. The coffee in the lobby was very good. We had a great view of the city. A room for less than $100 is unheard of in San Francisco, and for that price, it was comfortable.
Paint is peeling. The blinds were broken in our room. The rooms are so tiny that it can be hard to navigate around your luggage. There is no parking, you have to find parking on the street, which is no easy task in San Francisco. We had to park a block away and haul all our luggage uphill--we're out of shape! No elevator, so we had to haul luggage up and down four flights of stairs. This hotel is more like a hostel type setup, some rooms don't have a private bathroom.
Coffee
No elevator.
Great place to stay, so close to everything
Friendly staff, very easy to check in. They let you go about your business. Rooms are always clean and a good value for the price
No issues
Location.
Thin windows, you can hear everything from street.

Stanze piccole
The place was great value for the money. Everything was good
Location was convenient for the Painted Ladies and to take the bus into town.
Very basic facilities and not very clean at first (though on the 2nd night it was much tidier)
