the breakfast was a bit disappointing as the choice wasn’t too big and the pastries weren’t homemade. the quality was excellent though
The room was exceptionally spacious, with a lovely balcony and a beautifully designed bathroom. The front desk and concierge teams were outstanding: warm, efficient, and genuinely helpful. We also appreciated the complimentary car service to The Swiss House, including the pickup afterwards.
The spa is the star of the hotel, with a large heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, bio sauna, Finnish sauna, brine steam bath, and steam room. Boris at The Lobby courtyard was also excellent, with great charisma, thoughtful local recommendations, and very good food suggestions.
While we enjoyed the food, the service at both The Restaurant and The Japanese did not quite match the exceptionally polished standard of the front desk, concierge, and Lobby teams.
Amazing Spa! Perfect whirlpools- perfect saunas and cold plunge - hotel is great
I think the menu for dinner is too sophisticated- I would prefer in addition some more basic food - good ingredients but less “wanna-be”

The Chedi Andermatt is without doubt a stunning hotel — beautiful architecture, impressive interiors, a luxurious atmosphere and exceptional attention to design. Visually, it certainly deserves its reputation.
However, true luxury is not only about beautiful surroundings; it is also about how guests are made to feel. Unfortunately, the attitude of some members of the staff felt more superior than genuinely welcoming and service - oriented. In a hotel of this level, guests should experience warmth, attentiveness and hospitality rather than a sense of arrogance.
A beautiful hotel with enormous potential, but the service culture should move from superiority to genuine hospitality. Sometimes, not all that glitters is gold.
Amazing hotel and service. Ambience and setting were spectacular and world class spa and dining. Can’t wait to go back in winter
Extraordinary hotel in all fronts!
Great location, architecture, food, spa, room, views, and all the rest

Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We stayed as a family with two young children in an Alpine Deluxe Suite for two nights whilst travelling through Switzerland on a summer road trip. This review is very simple to write as the hotel was absolutely incredible. The building and facilities itself are stunning. There is an amazing pool and spa area - the pool is ridiculously big!
The room itself was frankly enormous and sumptuous - we have stayed in many top end hotels such as Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental and this was up there as possibly the nicest room we have stayed in. Dining was very good - we didn’t have a chance to try the Michelin star Japanese restaurant but the main restaurant was great - the main menu is a ‘sharing’ tasting menu concept - if anything there was a bit too much food for my wife and I but the cuisine was excellent.
Finally, the service from the hotel staff was fantastic - friendly, attentive and efficient - exactly what you want and would expect at a hotel of this level.
My wife and I would definitely love to come back and stay, possibly in the Winter. The only one ‘area for improvement’ I would mention is that the hotel does not technically have air conditioning - I think this is something to do with Swiss laws and instead they have air vents with some form of cooling system which is not AC. We found the room in the summer to be a little warmer than we would ideally like and that is the only thing we could possibly fault the Chedi on.

We did not have the pleasure of staying at The Chedi Andermatt, but we had an experience there that we will never forget.
During our journey through Europe, we were running very low on battery in our electric car, and The Chedi was the only place nearby where we could find an EV charger. We were incredibly grateful that they kindly allowed us to use their charger, but their kindness went far beyond that.
The staff welcomed us so warmly, brought us water, and invited us inside to wait in their beautiful and impressive lobby. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful.
A luxury hotel of this standard could easily have said no, but instead they showed genuine kindness and hospitality. Even though we were not paying guests, we were treated with such warmth, care, and respect.
The Chedi Andermatt is a truly stunning hotel, but what impressed us the most was the generosity and friendliness of the people who work there.
Thank you so much for helping us when we needed it most. We hope to return one day – this time as actual guests.

We have now stayed at The Chedi Andermatt twice, in a two-bedroom suite, and it is with real regret that we write this. The building is lovely, the location superb, the rooms genuinely handsome. What is missing is the one thing a hotel of this price is actually selling: service.
Last year our stay was ruined by construction directly beneath the windows. We gave the hotel a second chance this year, and asked — twice — whether there were any works around the property. Twice we received written confirmation, by email, that there were none. We were then placed, once again, in a suite facing an active building site directly in front of the window. The same failure, in the same circumstances, two years running.
It is the management's conduct, however, that we find most telling. They appear content to economise conspicuously on their own guests — the maximum offered was 25%, in no way proportionate to a failure of this order — and seem unwilling even to apologise. To this day we have not heard a single word from the General Manager, who has, to all appearances, quietly excused themselves from the conversation altogether. A personal meeting was proposed; we declined it as pointless, given the tone in which we had been addressed and the way in which every substantive concern we raised was simply passed over.
Beyond this, nothing functions. Room service cannot be reached and muddles orders; emails go unread unless one insists; the concierge was condescending and of no help whatever. The staff are outwardly charming but deliver nothing — they confirm and do not honour, promise and do not follow through.
We have stayed in a great many five-star hotels and have never encountered anything approaching this at such a price point. A beautiful shell, with no hospitality inside it, and a management that appears to regard its guests as an inconvenience. We cannot, in good conscience, recommend it.
Von der ersten Minute sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolle Atmosphäre, sehr schöne Ausstattung, feines Essen.
