Hotel heeft update nodig.
Als je eenpersoons dekbedden wilt krijg je dunne dekentjes. Dat kan echt niet!
The Chedi Andermatt is an incredibly sophisticated place. We didn’t stay overnight but went for tea time and it was simply magnificent. Yes, it’s on the pricey side but absolutely worth it for the refined atmosphere and outstanding service.
The tea tray was exquisite, and we topped the experience off with a glass of champagne...just perfect. The different seating areas create a cozy, intimate feeling that makes it even more special. A must-go when in Andermatt.
We stayed here for three days. The skiing was good, the hotel is beautiful, but the service is poor. Especially in the bar, where ist very slow. I brought it up with the staff, but they weren’t very understanding. This is not what to expect from this kind of hotel. Don’t go, it’s not worth the money.
The Chedi Andermatt combines alpine charm with Asian inspired design, and the warm materials, mountain views, and peaceful spa area created a relaxing and high end mountain retreat.
- great place for families
- very close to the main ski area with incredible ski butler service (private ski teacher picks up kids)
- great food in “the restaurant”; particularly variety of choice for kids, sushi and incredibly fresh breakfast (Friday eve service was slow because place was packed; much better on Saturday with a very nice/attentive Italian server; she made the experience really special)
- nice pool indoor & outdoor
- comfortable room with sufficient space: kids beds on bench/sofa are ok (seen better solutions)
- check in and valet were really smooth
- undortunately a corporate even sent the hotel in “lock down” and guests were not really well informed (closing gates, not possible to return rented skis, bathroom not accessible post 12pm); very unfortunate because we felt comfortable but somehow not welcomed anymore on Sunday (some exceptions: very friendly guy at ski rental, server for breakfast) - only reason why this is not a 5* experience
The design and room was exceptional

The location
Unprofessional, some were not service oriented. My shower was broken and although I asked to repair it, still wasn’t done. Spa was nice yet far from what I expected from 5-star hotel on the mountain.
Fabulous hotel. Our ‘standard room’ was luxurious and packed with features and home comforts. Excellent spa and in/out pool. Excellent & free yoga classes with Sandra - very good for stretching after skiing. Ski Butler to help with kit, tuition, ski/boot care and ski area advice. Transport to/from Gemsstock lift, and to /from local restaurants. Location ideal: adjacent to the Gutsch gondola, Andermatt old town restaurants, and train station.
It was all great.
Incredible Hotel and facilities, the Chedi is a elegant, peaceful, and set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps, in few words is truly stunning hotel. Concierge, Restaurant, Room service and Spa staff were amazing. Special thanks to Salvarore ed Alessio, they took care of us the throughout our holiday. Room was huge with everything you would want and more, special the amenities. The Japanese restaurant was next level. We will of course be returning.
The Chedi Andermatt offers an exceptional blend of alpine charm and modern luxury. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is remarkable — from the beautifully designed rooms to the tranquil spa and outstanding dining experiences. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made our stay feel special. The spa facilities and outdoor pool with snowy mountain views were truly unforgettable.
Honestly, there was very little to fault. Everything was extremely well managed and exceeded our expectations.
