The hotel is convenient being within reasonable walking distance from the train and bus station but also quite close to the city centre. It is not scenic being right by a busy road but we didn't expect it to be or particularly mind since convenience was the most important factor for us. I requested a room on a higher floor which we got, added to which it was clean, comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was fine too although the extractor fan didn't work. Breakfast great.
Nothing much to complain about. A little more variety for evening meals would be an improvement if for some reason you need to eat at the hotel.
The double room I occupied was a good size. Good choice of food for breakfast.

Great location for accessing the university and city centre on foot. We were up from London for the university open day and it was easy to get to the uni and also into the centre for more restaurants/entertainment options.
We stayed in a family room, my teenage sons shared the double bed and I had the sofa bed. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Not much food choice for evening meals (only pizza). Breakfast was basic but good enough.
