Great place to stay. Near the airport.
Pros:

A typical Hampton Inn. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast had a lot of choices. There is a Boston Pizza restaurant in the parking lot.

Breakfast was standard for a Hampton inn. Well run.

Found the maintenance not kept up. And sleep / bed comfort was ok
Pros:

Breakfast was not kept supplied until 10. It was cleaned up a bit before hand and the garbages were over flowing. It’s also not nice to eat with wooden utensils and cardboard bowls. Real plates and cutely should be provided and garbages maintained.

Cons:

There was a lot of not maintained items: the elevator had water and wasn’t properly cleaned up. Left sticky residue on the floor once mopped, a major crack in my sink was noticed (should be replaced), garbage maintenance on the facility was not kept up. The breakfast was not kept full until 10. And eating with not proper silverware and bow and plates wasn’t nice.

Pool was small for size of place. Echoed terribly in pool area, so was very LOUD in there! Pool was then broke down for 2nd night there so didn’t get our relax swim in before heading out.

Convenient base for exploring
Pros:

Booked last minute at an unbeatable price, and it turned out to be a great choice for our Newfoundland road trip.The location worked really well, especially with the easy access to the highway. It was convenient for driving around the island, including the Irish Loop, Cape St. Mary’s and Bonavista.
The room was clean and comfortable, and parking was never an issue. There is a shopping area and supermarkets nearby, which was also very convenient during a road trip.Breakfast was good for this type of hotel; pretty much what I would expect from a Hampton.
One thing to be aware of is that if you want the bed linen changed more frequently, you need to request it at the front desk.The hotel is around 15 minutes from downtown by car. The airport location is convenient as well.
Overall, a clean and comfortable hotel in a very practical location for a Newfoundland road trip.

Pros:

Next to the airport which is where we needed to be early in the morning. Staff was friendly, especially the shuttle bus guy:) Room was clean as was the hotel. We missed breakfast as it was too early and we had to leave but we each received a breakfast to go bag which was better than nothing.

Cons:

The price for this hotel was very over priced. We paid over $300 for a room that we stayed in for less than 12 hours and also booked months in advance. We have paid less than that for a hotel in Banff! All others by the airport were the same so we had no choice. Im sure we will stay again when we come home to visit, tho hoping the price will come down some.
