The cleanness
Didn’t have the twin rooms an still took my payments
Looks dirty an scruffy
Room was warm, good size, clean & everything worked. The man on reception was particularly hgelpful & very friendly
There was some "background" (almost undetectable sometimes) bass drum type music playing all night.
Quite and convenient.
could have done with more than one pillow.
Very welcoming staff.
Comfortable room and good en suite.
nothing tbh, the wifi was free and the parking was free, the location was good with takeaways and shops close by, but i stayed for 7 nights and had no fresh towels, no change of bedding, no fresh tea or milk despite constant requests. the room was cheap but the reason was the lack of supplies etc

i left my watch in the room and the person who managed the hotel on a day to day basis refused me re entering the room to recover my watch which meant i lost the watch, a massive argument which is displayed on CCTV and he threatened to report me for parking with no authorisation. I wish for my watch to be replaced and have started the compaint with CAB
This is a hotel that we have known and stayed in over the years as we are from this area originally and so have seen its ups and downs. We use mainly for convenience and proximity to family.
We were upgraded to the superior rooms in the annex. They are large and very comfortable and quiet. Very nice large fluffy towels.
BUT the attention to detail on cleaning and preparation of the rooms is sadly lacking!
Shame, because we can see that they are making improvements slowly to what could be a good hotel - as it has been at times over the years.
The new restaurant looks very inviting and has good reviews - we will try it on another occasion - even if not staying at the hotel.
It seems that this hotel is well frequented by workers/sales people on business during the week, as the car park has a lot of vans. But the parking spaces are plentiful and free to use as a guest. Also we had no disturbances in the early morning when they were leaving for work.
The rates are very reasonable - thankfully!
We arrived and were not allowed to check-in early without paying extra - we know this hotel since years and with its rating - we were very surprised that there was no room ready/the receptionist insisted on the fee!!
So we came back nearly an hour after check-in time.
We were first offered a 2nd floor room - but the receptionist offered to give us ground floor - however, when we said we can climb stairs and presume that the 2nd floor would be quieter, he informed us that probably not so, as it was over the restaurant and near the front! We appreciated the honesty - he then upgraded us to a superior room in the annex.
Upon entering the superior room - there were several issues with what was supposed to be a 'ready to check-in room'; only 1 cup on the tea tray (with 1 empty saucer), 1 set of towels on the bed, but worse - popcorn, thread, bits of plastic on the carpet - obviously not well vaccumed and the w.c was not clean, nor was there any gel in the shower gel holder on the wall!! We went to complain at reception - because of the need to vacuum, the receptionist moved us to another superior room.
Upon entering, it was definitely cleaner carpetwise, still only 1 set of towels on the bed, both teacups in place - BUT - no toilet paper in the bathroom and most of the lampshades lopsided etc. The information folder in the drawer was also sticky and had coffee stains on some of the papers.....
All rather surprising after we had been told that we couldn't check in early as they were still prepping the rooms....;
There is no phone in the rooms to call reception - even though this is stated in the information pack - and there definitely used to be...... Think this is because the reception is not always staffed - there is a mobile to call - so perhaps some understaffing
There was a bin in the car park that was overflowing with rubbish upon our arrival - and was not cleared on our departure 2 days later.
Clean enough and the Indian food good and reasonable.
Radiator in room 201 wasn't working but was a mild night
Nothing to like about this dirty, poorly run sleaze pit of a hotel. I was relieved to get out, but I have lost all of my money as a consequence. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I didn't like anything. I didn't like the men smoking drugs in the corridor, the music from neighbouring rooms, the arguing, the very uncomfortable mattress (I only sat on it but that was enough), the fact that the flooring was so rubbish it didn't reach the skirting boards, or the fact there were no towels in the room. I didn't like the litter all over the car park, the woman in the foyer who winked at me like a prostitute and called me love (possibly was one). I didn't like the dingy corridors that were like something out of an 80s horror film. The place is a s**thole. The manager walked past the men smoking drugs without any form of challenge so clearly no pride in the hotel or too afraid to kick them out) I told the manager I was leaving immediately. I wasn't prepared to stay, or subject my wife to this place. He wouldn't refund me, saying it was booking.com who needed to issue the refund. I don't like the fact that booking.com said it was up to the hotel to decide if I was owed a refund, leaving me in catch 22 with no way of recovering my losses. I am angry that, despite saying they would take this complaint seriously, booking.com have since offered me a pathetic £8.77 discount off my next booking, despite having lost the entire cost of my trip, plus another payment to find alternative emergency accommodation. I am not using booking.com again and warn anyone else to avoid the OYO Baby Westfield dump-of-a-hotel at all costs.
It near to everyone we need to see
They do not do breakfast yet but in the process on site Indian restaurant was very nice and good value for money and a great location for any where in Leicester
