The hotel is a little bit removed from the center of town, some 15 minutes walk away. The hotel is too quiet if you’re in town to party.

Интерьер гостиницы очень понравился. Сначала кажется, что попал в сказку. Фонтанчик, зелень, чистота в номерах, со вкусом все сделано.

Cons:

Но потом оказывается, что все это не способствует комфорту… шумоизоляции никакой, если над вами кто-то поселился, то будет казаться, что ходят по головам. Ставни приходится закрывать, чтобы другие жильцы не глазели на тебя через окно, а поэтому в номере жутко темно и дышать не чем. Шум фонтана ночью тоже быстро начинает раздражать, подушки не удобные. Завтрак очень скромный, хоть и вкусный. Но самое главное, гостиница не так уж и близка к достопримечательностям! Мы все три дня ходили только пешком и порядком ноги сточили, пока доходили до нужных мест. Гостиница на окраине!

It could be a very nice choice but it’s completely uncomfortable.
Pros:

On the positive side, it is absolutely beautiful, with a charming colonial style that really immerses you in the atmosphere of Guatemala. The staff were also very helpful and willing to address any issues we had. The fact that it is about 20 minutes outside the city centre did not bother us at all. The rooms were also clean.

Cons:

The rooms are very old and there is no air conditioning, which results in a noticeable musty smell. The heat inside the room was unbearable, and the only way to sleep was with a small fan that was extremely noisy. The pillows were, to put it mildly, unacceptable.

The breakfast was probably one of the worst I have ever had at a hotel. On top of everything, our room was full of mosquitoes, and overall we managed to sleep for no more than two hours during the three nights.

A beautiful property with a lot of character and very helpful staff, but unfortunately the condition of the rooms and the lack of basic comfort made our stay a very unpleasant one.
