MS Hotel

No lamps/light by the bed in room 1006. Not good for a hotel with so expensive rooms.

Can’t explain why - because this hotel rates well on each factor individually - but this hotel was not a good fit for us. This is probably most likely due to fact that Haeundae was not the right part of Busan for us to stay in and the city is very spread out so most of what we wanted to do was elsewhere.
Breaking it down:
Positive:
1.Great location within Haeundae and lovely views of Ocean.
2.Staff was friendly.
3.Room was clean.
4.We arrived early expecting to leave our luggage and come back at 3 but staff let us check in at 2.

Could have been better:
1.Room was TINY. In fairness, the kind people at front desk said a smaller room w ocean view was ready if we wanted to check in early (we had booked a cheaper city view). She did warn that it was small. We said fine. And when we got to the room we realized she really meant small. (The front door to room opened out into hallway bc not enough room to open inwards.)
2. We were not expecting a bathroom that had no partition between shower and toilet. It’s fine if you are used to it but we were not so just be prepared.
3. (Minor) lovely views of ocean impaired but windows that desperately need a cleaning
4. Entrance to otherwise nice hotel is uninviting. You enter into a hall that could be cleaner, and then go into a small elevator shared w another hotel which has some of the floors of the same building.

That said, it’s reasonably priced for Haeundae hotels. But there are better values to be had in other also nice parts of Busan. For us, Haeundae was not the right part of the city to stay in and that’s on is not the hotel.

Always a great stay. I try to reserve MS Hotel every time I go to Busan. Friendly staff and great location with an excellent price.

Only spent 1 night but really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful they even upgraded our room from city view to ocean view for free upon arrival. The room was great and the view was beautiful. Hopefully when I return to Korea and visit Busan again I’ll will definitely stay at this hotel again.

It was a good experience.

Booked the sea view room and got a nice view of the beach. The front desk team are friendly. There are several hotels in this tall building. They all share 1 common lift. So waiting time for the lift is quite long. Also, room aesthetic wise, room has full grey office-like carpets, instead of wooden flooring as seen on the hotels pictures

Great amenities, free food, sauna, free beverages, close markets, clean etc

What we liked:
- location - a 1 minute walk to Haeundae beach and main street
- ocean view rooms
- good wifi and air-conditioning
- water and ice dispenser at concierge
- good value

Could be better (all minor annoyances):
- a single lift that serves all the levels of the building
- traffic noise, as it is right next to the beach and main street
- would have liked a shelf abive the bathroom sink

The owners/workers were exceptionally kind and the view was amazing. Located in a convenient area in the heart of haeundae beach with easy access to stores, restaurants and the beach.

Very nice affordable hotel in front of Haeundae Beach. Very convenient and easy to find.

Pros
1) Service - Excellent
Reception is really kind and helpful. Some speaks good English while others do not. Nevertheless, they will try their best to overcome the language barrier and help you.
Tip: Download Papago app and use it to do short sentence translation.

2) Facilities - Not the best but works
There is one washing machine and one dryer for guests to use at no cost on the 5th floor. Note that you need to bring your own detergent though.

3) Location - Good


4) View - Superb
The hotel is next to the beach. In fact, you will have good view of the beach from your room (if you chose the beach facing).

Cons
1) There is only one lift serving like 10 floors so I suppose during peak period, one might have to wait a while?
Note: During my 4 nights stay there, I could always get into the lift though. But I could be just lucky or it was not peak season.

2) My main complain would be that when you shower, the whole floor including the toilet area would become wet as they are connected and drainage is not fast enough.
However, it could be just us who like to keep toilet area dry.

Conclusion
Still, I enjoyed my stay there and would choose that hotel again if I need to be that area as it is definitely very value for money.
