Pros:

The hotel and rooms were great . Breakfast was exceptional, plenty of choice of different food

Cons:

The noisy dogs at night behind the hotel that wouldn’t stop barking which prevented me from having a good nights sleep

Great gardens, very peaceful and fantastic location

Brilliant location and loved the old world Bali decor

Cons:

The breakfast was basic but did the job. The staff took a while to warm up to new guests but this was only the older staff. The young ones were a good laugh

Pros:

Room and facilities were really good, staff were lovely, good buffet breakfast, nice pools, close to a lot of different shops and restaurants

Cons:

Unfortunately, Kuta is a bit of a destination for older, somewhat rude Australians. This can detract from the area and your experience

Nice room and facilities but confusing location with needless steps.
Pros:

Friendly staff and substantial included breakfast. Room layout and decore/amenities were nice.

Cons:

I was in a room that was in the back of the complex, set up to be a separate functioning hotel but not yet functional utilizing the main reception and facilities. This meant a bit of a walk and at first some confusion as to how to get back to the main reception area from my room as it is not intuitive. There are also some unnecessary steps up and down to get through the non functional reception area.

Beware, my bathroom, in the hotel style rooms, was FULL OF MOULD / MOLD

The bathroom was FULL of mould, it was disgusting. It was everywhere.

Absolutely disgusting.

NOTE- in the hotel rooms up the back on the complex, all the rooms either the main door, or the balcony door, have these bi-fold type timber doors that don't close properly and have gaps in them, which lets A/C out, but worst, lets mosquitos in, and they have no buffer on them and people constantly slam them, it is SOO loud and disruptive (some people are worse than others I guess), but 30-40 rooms all slamming these doors, from 5am to midnight...

The corridors of the hotel are an echo chamber, so the slightest noise just echos and is magnified.

The hotel is very loud and not relaxing at all.

Further about the bathrooms, the window is not fully closed, it has this overlapping glass system which leaves a gap off 4 inches (10cm) which is constantly open and lets mosquitos in (not even a screen on it). My room constantly had mosquitos in it.

I ended up moving to a different hotel about 50m down the road, which was quiet, cleaner, better staff....

Cons:

Unfortunately most of my stay was clouded by a dose of Bali Belly - NOT contracted at the hotel I might add, so my stay wasn't the most enjoyable.
