Better than 3*
Pros:

Although it has a 3* rating some aspects were 4* Parts were a little dated but kept clean. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, shower heads need sorting as you end up in one corner trying to get under the spray. Bath towels changed daily.Safe and pool towels included in all inclusive.
Lovely big pool for swimming lengths. Only a few of the sunbeds had padded cushions, they should all have them for comfort whilst sunbathing.
Lovely beach and sea safe to swim in. The sunbeds on the main beach were very dated and uncomfortable.
The restaurant is waiter/waitress service apart from the cold buffet at breakfast which you helped yourself to. Cooked breakfast ordered freshly and delivered to table. The staff were very helpful and friendly,a big shout out to the young waitress who always went out of her way to help us and was always smiling. Should have got her name, she always had a flower in her hair.
Food was mostly good but by the end of the week we were struggling to choose despite they're being plenty on offer (not always what you might eat).
Also this hotel carers to daily cruise ship tourists. On occasion this caused big delays in the restaurant. They also get the large mattress style cabanas reserved for them and then don't always use them.
There are only 2 nights a week when they have evening entertainment, Wednesday and Fridays. The band called Just Friends were brilliant and we enjoyed a good night of singing and dancing. I think the hotel should split the gap if they're only going to have 2 nights, maybe Saturday or Sunday instead of Friday.
We found the hotel a bit secluded,we like to have somewhere to walk and explore but the road outside had no pavements and was quite busy. On the last day we found a Boardwalk we could use that lead to a pizza shop, ice cream parlour, bar, chocolate factory and a shop selling local artisan gifts. They also let us taste the gins they sell and they have a bar where you can sit and have a drink. We were surprised that the hotel didn't advertise this and the lady did say she was going to drop flyers off to the reception.
We did a round the island tour which we arranged ourselves with the taxi driver who picked us up from the airport.
We also went to Shirley Heights on the night they have, BBQ,bar and entertainment . This was organised by the hotel.
My husband celebrated his 70th Birthday there and the staff sat us in the special occasions gazebo on the beach for dinner and sang to him.
All in all we had a great time and would go back.

Quiet Relaxing Week.
Pros:

We spent a week at the hotel. As many others point out, some things are a bit dated and could use a facelift. However, the room was comfortable and very clean. We had a small maintenance issue when we arrived, the patio door would not lock. It was reported to reception, we went for dinner and returned to a new lock on the patio door. The towels in the room were inconsistent, some days no hand towels, but whenever any more were needed housekeeping was quick to bring some. Pool towels were sometimes hard to get but were some of the nicest pool towels of any resorts we have been. We stayed in a partial ocean view cabana with great views of the ocean. The hammock on the balcony was a great touch.

The food was good. We had no difficulty finding something we liked each night as they had daily specials in addition to the regular menu. We were on an all inclusive package which was well worth it. The restaurant staff, Spice, Markie, Selwyn, Caroline, Maria and others were all hard working and friendly. The house wine was good, better than some we have experienced in the Caribbean.

The beach and pool are well maintained. There were enough lounge chairs for both and easy access to the bar. Overall, the hotel was very quiet and relaxing. It is definitely an older crowd. There are a lot of uneven surfaces and little steps on almost every path.

The best feature of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Quame and Andre at the bar will take good care of you. They made great chocolate martinis and Long Islands. We would definitely return. The short ride from the airport was definitely a benefit.

A very pleasant short night’s stay
Pros:

Sadly, as I was on a work visit, I only had a very short night’s stay, but I loved the ambience of the resort, and all of the staff I met were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, with the restaurant in a beautiful setting.

Pros:

Good for a solo trip. Hard to get non-fried food. Too much sugar and fat all around. They aren't clear who their audience is. Nice staff. Beautiful beaches.

Caribbean Getaway
Pros:

This was a fantastic place! We spent the holidays here and the rooms, the restaurant, the clean and soft beach and especially the people were amazing.
The only detractor for us was the lack of food choices. A snack bar or smaller portions on the menus would be nice.

A 3 star hotel that should be 5 star
Pros:

We had the BEST 10 nights staying at Ocean Point. Our holiday was booked with TUI, all inclusive. On arrival the check in process was fast, and we were given complimentary rum punch and fruit punch. There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room for my mums birthday. On check out the hotel gifted us all with a travel mug with the Antigua island map, which was a lovely surprise.

Myself and my two sisters are vegan, and the chef/kitchen staff went out of their way every day to make sure we had a variety of outstanding vegan meals, either by adapting dishes already on the menu or creating brand new dishes and asking us what we would like. Shout out to the Oreo cheesecake! We only ever had to eat the same meal every day if we chose to do so. It's so rare to come to an all inclusive hotel and be catered to in this was for a dietary requirement.
They also set a special table up for us which was decorated beautifuly for my mums birthday, and made a special dessert for her which they brought over whilst singing Happy Birthday.

The hotel itself was clean, and not at all overcrowded with people. There is two private beaches, both clean with plenty of sun loungers. A huge salt water swimming pool. It's only a 7 minute drive from the airport, which was so nice after a long haul flight.

Hotel staff all extra lovely and helpful. They helped us with booking car hire, taxis and excursions all at an excellent rate.

Total Relaxation
Pros:

Just returned from our 7 night stay at Ocean Point, i went with my best friend and we had an amazing time. The hotel is small and very welcoming. The staff are just lovely, I will mention some, Lanie is just lush, always smiling and ready to help, she is usually working at the bar or restaurant hostess. Restaurant Staff/Management Maria, Aleisha , Caroline, Kerry-Anne, Spice, all very attentive. The bar staff, Quame & Andre, making lovely Cocktails & Smoothies. We were all inclusive, but it's not buffet style it's Ala-Carte, with so much choice and Daily specials. My particular favourites, the sushi starter, lovely Fish dishes, with choice of sides.it was my friends Birthday while we were there and was given a bottle of bubbly & a special table at dinner, the staff made it really lovely for her. Our room was lovely, cleaned every day, beautiful sea & pool view, we had a hammock.
Dont expect daily entertainment,
But do expect total relaxation on 2 beautiful beaches.
Take a little walk down the road to find a little shopping village with bar and cafes. We had lunch at Dawnes on our last day and it was lovely.

Relaxing stay and lovely island
Pros:

We stayed for 10 days at Ocean point in november 2025. We had the all inclusive package and stayed at a garden view room. I liked this hotel, it was just right for us. Not too fancy but comfortable, clean and relaxing. Comfortable beds and a cute little terace area with a hammock. I'd say three stars is about right. Grounds, rooms, beaches and pool area was kept clean. Staff and service were very friendly 🩷 Only thing I would change is the food. It was definitely not bad by no means but very much lacking in flavour. Not one item on the menu had any spices, everything was very safe and almost bland tasting. Breakfast quickly became repetitive, same same every day.
Customers vere mostly between ~40-60 and seemed to be mostly couples.
If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs because the frogs are _loud_ during nighttime 😀 There are cats wandering about the hotel area. They keep to themselves but it's worth noting if you are allergic.

Fabulous holiday
Pros:

Our second time to this hotel. We had a great stay again. If you're looking for a small relaxed hotel with friendly staff then this is for you.
We do say the rooms are shabby chic with comfy beds and are cleaned well every day. Although the bath towels are a little threadbare.
The food choices are excellent and there are specials offered every day.
The wine and cocktails were also good.
We did some trips including stingray city and a catamaran trip.
I would also recommend hiring a car at around 90US for a day it gives you the chance to see this beautiful island
Without the amazing staff that work here the place would not be the same.
Kerry Ann. Spice. Selwyn and his girlfriend and the 2 male bartenders. I don't remember the other names. Sorry guys!
One thing i was aware of and it wasn't pleasant was the smell of cats that had sprayed in the stairwells particularly and at times the sunbeds.
Also the last night we were woken to the sound of them fighting outside.
I would definitely return here.
Thanks guys.

Nice Place to Relax
Pros:

This is a nice place to just relax. They have a big saltwater pool and two small private beaches with plenty of lounge chairs. I had a “Garden Room” that had a patio overlooking the pool area. The room was dated but clean. The resort is not near any restaurants or shops so if you don’t have a car, plan on taxi or just staying there. As a solo female, I would probably stay somewhere closer to one of the towns next time, but Ocean Point was nice to just chill.

There is a decent restaurant and bar. Food prices are high and then they add 17% tax AND 15% Service Charge so you can add 32% to the cost. They charge $3 for filtered water at the table, whereas you can get as much water as you like for free in the lobby (and much better coffee too). The food was better at dinner. Surprisingly, alcohol is really cheap. Cocktails were $8 at the bar, plus the tax and service charge. A bottle of wine can be had for $15 and if you’re solo they will hold the rest of the bottle for your next meal. Prices are in USD.
Great service in the restaurant, bar and front desk.

No better place to be!
Pros:

Fair to say, we are well and truly sold on Ocean Point - this was our eighth visit and we’re booked again for January! 🤷‍♂️! It just ticks all the boxes for us, Total relaxation in a lovely azure blue location, lovely people (both staff and fellow guests), superb cuisine a la carte…we can’t get enough of it!! The new management are making a big effort to update/refurbish the property and it is paying off. Kerry-Anne and Spice and their restaurant teams will do anything to ensure satisfied guests and head chef Vic is often out of his amazing kitchen among the diners discussing food requirements. Where else would you see that? Every time we go to OP we enjoy great company. Last time it was the Barmy Army guys there for the cricket, West Indies v England. This time, delighted to chat with waiter Elroy who is a star cricketer for the Antiguan national team (11 fours and 5 sixes in a 146 innings, eh Elroy? 👏👏!!). Then we met two of the Antiguan soccer squad who had flown in from England for international games. Lovely guys! So if you like relaxed holidays in great surroundings, be assured that this is a great place to be. 👍👍. Looking forward to January. Colin & Denise x

Lovely staff and not far from the airport
Pros:

A lovely hotel. Although not far from the airport ( about 10 minutes) there is minimal aircraft noise.
We were upgraded to a cabana room overlooking the pool and with views of the sea. We had a balcony with chairs and a hammock. There is no wardrobe but a hanging space with shelves, small cabinet with a draw and a cupboard.Room had a large TV, fridge with bottled water, small vodka and rum, sparkling water , coke and soda water.(mini bar was complimentary and not restocked).Shower room with toiletries. There is no iron in the room but if you ask reception they will give you a key to the ironing room.
Reception has a water and coffee station available 24 hours. Pool towels available at reception after 8am. Pool is salt water and has plenty of beds , although not many are in the shade. Water aerobics on Wednesday and Friday morning.
Nice restaurant had a fair ,choice except on Wednesday night when it’s Caribbean night. Had difficulty in finding something to eat, but the restaurant manager, Kerry-Anne, was very helpful and arranged a different meal for these nights.Thank you Kerry-Anne your thoughtfulness was much appreciated. We were all inclusive and had a good choice of drinks , the red wine was very palatable ( it comes from Italy.) You can pay extra to upgrade drinks and some meals on the restaurant.
Wednesday night a live band played, next week it was Wednesday and Friday live entertainment.
The only negatives of the hotel were the Wi-Fi was shocking! Everyday there was an outage, receptionists tried to say it was our phones and we should go outside to the balcony , but when we said the TV was also off she admitted it was their system ( !).Also the hotel has day trippers from the cruise ships that visit the Island. The day trippers are allowed to reserve the best beds round the pool ( to the detriment of the regular guests who have paid to stay there) They also get a personal service from the bar staff for drinks and lunch( we were ignored and had to go to the bar ourselves for drinks, if they can offer it to the cruise customers why not all the guests around the pool?) Also the cruise day trippers were using the pool and beach and would then go into lunch with wet swimwear on . It is not nice to sit a a table for lunch with a wet cushion under you . Please could the restaurant enforce some sort of dress code to ban wet clothes from the cruise liner day trippers?( not much to ask ) .
The staff are very friendly and always smiling and willing to help, however there are a few who still go the extra mile, Kerry -Anne I have already mentioned, but Selwyn and Alisha in the morning and lunch, Elroy and Maria at dinner and Andre , Kewame and Ashman the bar staff.
Would recommend this for a restful relaxing stay.

A quiet boutique hotel in a pretty bay
Pros:

We wasn’t really sure what to expect after reading mixed reviews but this small very pretty little boutique hotel more than lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived we received a very warm welcome from reception staff and even received a free room upgrade which we so appreciated. Our room was lovely with a perfect view and great A/C. There were plenty of sun beds around the pool and two very nice small beaches. As it sits on the Atlantic side the sea gets a little rough but you can still enjoy a swim or watch the Pelicans fishing. The staff really make this place!! Andre, Quame & Lanie are fantastic at keeping the drinks topped up. Whilst Spice, Markey, Selwyne, Felicia and the rest of the team provide excellent service at the restaurant. The food is great here too, it’s all cooked fresh to order at the table and the pasta is as good as we have eaten in Italy. Yes it is a little dated and the location is very quiet but it feels like a family and beautiful Dickenson’s bay is a 10 minute ride up the road (taxi’s are often outside the hotel). The hotel can also organise excursions for you ( can recommend the land and sea!) would we go back? Yes in a heartbeat !!

What a lovely traditional Antiguan Hotel.
Pros:

Well, what a pleasant surprise. A warm welcome on arrival. The room was clean, spacious and with a good bathroom. We had a garden room with a terrace and hammock. Restaurant was table service rather than buffet which came as a surprise. Food was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A big shout out to Chef Andy who produced some amazing dishes. Beach was perfect with plenty of sunbeds and shades. Pool was huge, again with plenty of beds and shaded areas. Evening entertainment was good with a variety of bands, mostly traditional west Indian music which is great to dance to. Bar staff were top notch with the barman doing regular tours of the resort making sure you had a drink if you wanted one. This resort purports to be a 3 star but we believe it goes above and beyond this. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in Antigua then look no further, if you want foam parties and loud idiots jumping into the pool then look elsewhere.

A Peaceful & Memorable Family Stay in Antigua 🌴✨
Pros:

My 16-year-old daughter and I stayed at Ocean Point Resort & Spa to celebrate her birthday, and it was a peaceful and memorable experience from start to finish. The staff were so warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made our stay feel extra special and personal. They made us feel like more than just guests. 💕

On our very last day, the manager surprised us with an upgrade to a cabana with an ocean view 😍. Even though it was just for one night, it was such a thoughtful gesture and turned our trip into something truly unforgettable for both of us. Watching the sunset over the ocean from our cabana was the perfect ending to her birthday getaway. 🌅✨

The food was delicious, and what I especially loved was that it wasn't buffet-style. Every meal felt fresh, personalized, and served with care — it made dining so much more enjoyable and intimate compared to the usual resort experience. 🍽️🌴

The entire atmosphere at Ocean Point is serene, calm, and ideal for anyone seeking to unwind and relax. For families looking to celebrate a special occasion or travelers seeking peace and serenity, this resort is truly a hidden gem. 🌊✨

Ocean Point gave us memories we’ll treasure forever, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Antigua.”

Another great time !
Pros:

This was our fourth stay at this lovely small boutique hotel and our 29th visit to the beautiful island of Antigua.
We had a ground floor garden room a few steps from the huge swimming pool and very convenient for the restaurant, bar and three small beaches.
The room was well appointed, spotlessly clean and had a sliding patio door leading onto a raised shared balcony with sunbeds. There was a small fridge and walk in shower with soap dispensers.
When we arrived one of us was asked to be a Judge again at their Staff Christmas Party and so we extended our stay and had another great time.
Again the cake was a work of art, as are the meals, beautifully presented and every meal served in the lovely dining area by the sea. One of us is a Vegetarian and the food is perfect, but the Chef is always happy to offer an alternative.
Towels and fresh sheets are available daily but as we have been to over 100 countries and islands in our decades of travel, water in many places in the World is becoming a treasured resource so we keep our sheets and towels for a few days.
Coffee machines are located in certain areas and there is a large undercover area with comfortable furniture near the pool if shade is required in the Caribbean heat.
Taxis are available to nearby St John's and Dickenson Bay with its many hotels, restaurants and bars and from where several sea trips depart.
The management of the hotel was changing but we were assured the Hotel would remain the same.
