10 nights at this lovely hotel. Very relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are good enough, very clean and comfortable bed. Nice beaches and looked forward to seeing the pelicans every day. Resturant was good for breakfast and dinner, nice to be able to order fresh cooked food. However, we did experience long delays some days at lunchtime due to the guests with day passes being allowed in first. We even gave up a couple of times and just ate our own snacks. They also have reserved access to sun loungers and staff fetching their drinks but this didn't affect us. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. The island and the people are lovely.
We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Got there early from our cruise ship, extending 3 days in Antigua. Stored our luggage and enjoyed a covered large bed by their huge pool. Room was very nice, large comfy bed, cool air conditioner, nicely plated out. First night ate at an Italian restaurant Mama Mia, next door. Yummy food, excellent view of the sunset. Next night, Sun., at our hotel's restaurant. Most other restaurants closed on Sun. Also excellent, watched waves roll in. Food yummy, service great. After dinner sat on the chais in front of their large bar, enjoyed our drinks, the stars and the ocean. Everybody very friendly and helpful, especially Lania by poolside, who got our drinks for us. We highly recommend👏🌈❤️
The location of the hotel in relation to a beach is excellent, and also has a large, clean swimming pool, although several tiles were loose and falling off. However the hotel itself is tired, dated and less than average in terms of style and luxury. The rooms are basic and the bathrooms, in need of renovation. Hot water was hit and miss each evening. The doors out to the balcony were old and difficult to open but the view was beautiful. Although there were numerous sunloungers, there was the annoying reserving of the favoured spots with towels each day, often vacant for hours! The restaurant was very busy and the food was average but edible. The entertainment was not for us and we went out most evenings to eat in local restaurants. The staff were very friendly and hard working and very obliging.
This resort is close to the airport and provides an excellent quiet location. The resort itself is a bit dated but for the price was an excellent value. The onsite restaurant is designed for the all inclusive customers. We thought the food for the non all inclusive customers was quite high in comparison to other better local restaurants. The pool was very nice but we were a bit put back the cruise customers that arrived daily had better access to the only two shaded cabanas than paying resort customers. The highlight of the stay was the staff. Be aware that strong smelling detergents are used in cleaning the rooms. We asked that they not be used and the staff followed our request. I can honestly say the staff the cleaned our room daily was the best we have ever experienced. The front desk staff was also very helpful. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay.
I found my stay at this resort highly disappointing and poor value for money. There were several significant issues throughout the week that I feel other travellers should be aware of.
Dining and Hygiene The service in the restaurant was inconsistent. While staff were very quick to clear plates—often before I had even finished—it was incredibly difficult to get anyone's attention for a drink. I would like to highlight Matthew, who was the only member of the team with professional manners and serving skills; the rest of the team would benefit from his training.
I found the meal times very restrictive, leading to queues at the restaurant entrance. The "continental breakfast" and "afternoon snack" options were underwhelming, often consisting of just one or two types of items (such as muffins or cold pizza bread). The food was repetitive, and I was concerned to see seafood mislabelled as a vegetarian dish.
Hygiene was a primary concern for me. As an open-air restaurant, the salads and desserts were left uncovered, attracting a lot of flies. I also observed staff handling bread and pastries with their hands rather than using the tongs provided. Most concerningly, I witnessed a member of the kitchen staff tasting food and then returning the same unwashed spoon back into the pans and seasoning containers. Additionally, a dog was regularly permitted access to the food preparation areas.
Bar and Entertainment The bar policy changed during my stay; I was informed I could only take one drink at a time, which was frustrating. The music in the bar area was frequently played at an excessive volume. Despite asking for it to be lowered so I could talk to others, staff would repeatedly turn it back up, which felt more like a disco for the staff than an adult resort atmosphere. Daytime entertainment was non-existent during my week, and the entertainment team seemed largely disengaged from the guests.
Facilities and Rooms The resort lacks sufficient shade; with only 3 or 4 umbrellas at the pool, I was forced to go to the beach to find cover. The rooms are dated and lacked basic modern amenities like bedside plug sockets or USB ports. Storage space was also very limited. Housekeeping was inconsistent with drinking water; some days bottles were replaced, while on others they were removed and not replenished, leaving me with no way to get water from the bar.
Overall, the experience did not meet the standards expected for the price paid. I would not recommend this resort.
Quiet adult only relaxing place to stay. Incredibly kind and helpful staff made this stay a delight. The hotel is fairly small with the entrance around the base of a disused sugar windmill. No lifts and steps everywhere might give people with mobility issues a problem but not us thankfully. We had an issue with poor water pressure in the shower but were able to move to the room next door which was perfect and organised by the ever friendly staff. No fighting required for the sun loungers around the pool or on the small private beach. There is a small spa in the grounds but did not appear to be used during our stay. Food was good and adequate in the restaurant which has open sea views and the tables are served. A slightly more varied menu might be a small improvement. All inclusive meant the bar was a pleasure and the bar staff only added to that. The small bay in front of the bar and restaurant was used daily by feeding Pelicans, Turns and Frigate birds providing all day entertainment
All round a great and thoroughly recommended place to stay
On holiday with my husband. First visit to antigua we stayed at this hotel for two weeks. All the staff were most helpful and always happy to help you especially in the restaurant, I could not fault anyone of them. Special thanks to Pepito who helped my husband on many occasions while we were there, my husband fell over on the first day of our holiday in St John's and damaged his hand badly. The food was cooked for you and the menu had specials on every day. The rooms were clean and the bed linen was changed each day. The only thing I would emphasise, is that there are quite a few steps down from the main building to the pool and restaurant, so guests with mobility problems may find these difficult.
Great location with good beach access & plenty of sunbeds & shades ( no fighting) Antiguan hospitality @ its best. All inclusive meal menu & drinks should easily satisfy the majority of guests !!! Will be back mid April
Booked this as part of a package holiday with Virgin Holidays.
The hotel is advertised as a 3 Star however do not be put off by this! The draw for us was it being adults only (16+), a l carte restaurant and no specific dress code (who wants to wear trousers for dinner in the Caribbean 😂)
Check in was very personal and informative and is completed via a QR code. The rum punch was a nice touch.
Ocean Point has a traditional Caribbean feel, rustic, bright colours and very relaxed, we had an ocean view cabana room. It was spacious, well presented and had a huge balcony with great views. The room was cleaned to a good standard daily and had a very comfy bed. The towels within the room varied in condition and were not always the greatest. The shower head in our room had been replaced with a pressure shower head so for us we had no pressure issues as reported by other guests.
Breakfast offers a continental Buffett and a cooked to order choice for hot. Breakfast was always well presented, tasty and served with a smile.
Lunch is ordered from the lunch menu, lots to choose from as well as the daily special. It was nice to have lunch on the high tables within the bar which the staff were more than happy with when we asked.
Dinner, the restaurant is advertised as Italian however the Italians dishes are limited. The starters are more Asian and became quite repetitive. Lots of choice for main course but again very few Italian dishes. The Jerk Chicken is good but if you are expecting it to be traditional and hot then think again. When ordering we asked for the chef to make it hotter which he did!
The hotel has a good selection of drinks and cocktails but it was disappointing to see that Carib was chargeable and not included in the All Inclusive.
The hotel pool is massive and we never struggled to find somewhere to sit, we loved the quietness as the hotel has no daytime entertainment or music at the pool.
There is a choice of 2 beaches and again both have ample beds. The beaches are clean and tidy with staff seem to be clearing glassware regularly.
With the exception of the weekly Caribbean night and a band on a Friday there is no evening entertainment, this was another draw for us. If you are expecting live acts daily then this is not the place for you!
We had a great stay and the hotel delivered on what it offered, what makes it great is the staff… thank you to the following:-
Bar - Andre & Quamie
Restaurant- Selwyn, Markie, Kerry-Ann, Caroline, Alisha and Shania
My only gripe was that the hotel offers/sells day passes to cruise ship passengers but doesn’t seem to staff for these. It wasn’t everyday (luckily) however this meant that hotel guests suffered due to lack of space at lunch and long queues at the bar!
This could be a great adult only hotel, but unfortunately, it's in need of a significant amount of maintenance and improvement.
They have some fantastic staff, particularly in the restaurant and bar, and they were all helpful and friendly, including the lovely chap who swept the corridors, who always had a big smile and a welcoming "good morning".
The restaurant and bar area are very good with a comprehensive range available on the all-inclusive menu, plus daily specials to choose from in the evenings.
The hotel has two beaches and generally plenty of sunbeds. However, some days they allow cruise ship day passes, which can result in the resident guests not being able to find a sunbed and also suffering delays in the restaurant, as the day pass guests are allowed into lunch earlier.
As others have said, the hotel is a little isolated, but make sure you visit the nearby artisan chocolate factory on the boardwalk.
The hotel's biggest problem is that the guest rooms are rather dated, particularly the bathroom. We were initially in Room 226, but there was some form of low pressure leak with water appearing to come up from under the floor tiles. It wasn't clear whether this was from the shower or the toilet. Based on the state of the grouting, it had clearly been a problem for some time. We informed reception and were later told that it had been resolved, only to find it was exactly the same that night. We informed reception again, and this time, they said we would need to move to another room. Thankfully, with the help of a member of the reception and porter staff, we moved to Room 224. The general decor in this room was a significant improvement on 226, but it is still rather dated, particularly the old style shower cubicle. The biggest problem with our second room was the smell of drains in the bathroom (this is also a problem in several areas of the hotel). We did report it, but it still remained a problem, particularly after any heavy rain.
The hotel's website states that there is a two-person hammock in the 'Partial Ocean View Cabana', but neither of our rooms had one.
There are several communal areas that are also in need of maintenance, particularly the pool, which is losing tiles and the timber ramp down to the smaller beach, which is quite spongy under foot and feels like it could give way at anytime.
As previously mentioned, with its excellent staff, this has the potential to be a great hotel if the owners can improve the maintenance and modernise the guest rooms.
Although it has a 3* rating some aspects were 4* Parts were a little dated but kept clean. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, shower heads need sorting as you end up in one corner trying to get under the spray. Bath towels changed daily.Safe and pool towels included in all inclusive.
Lovely big pool for swimming lengths. Only a few of the sunbeds had padded cushions, they should all have them for comfort whilst sunbathing.
Lovely beach and sea safe to swim in. The sunbeds on the main beach were very dated and uncomfortable.
The restaurant is waiter/waitress service apart from the cold buffet at breakfast which you helped yourself to. Cooked breakfast ordered freshly and delivered to table. The staff were very helpful and friendly,a big shout out to the young waitress who always went out of her way to help us and was always smiling. Should have got her name, she always had a flower in her hair.
Food was mostly good but by the end of the week we were struggling to choose despite they're being plenty on offer (not always what you might eat).
Also this hotel carers to daily cruise ship tourists. On occasion this caused big delays in the restaurant. They also get the large mattress style cabanas reserved for them and then don't always use them.
There are only 2 nights a week when they have evening entertainment, Wednesday and Fridays. The band called Just Friends were brilliant and we enjoyed a good night of singing and dancing. I think the hotel should split the gap if they're only going to have 2 nights, maybe Saturday or Sunday instead of Friday.
We found the hotel a bit secluded,we like to have somewhere to walk and explore but the road outside had no pavements and was quite busy. On the last day we found a Boardwalk we could use that lead to a pizza shop, ice cream parlour, bar, chocolate factory and a shop selling local artisan gifts. They also let us taste the gins they sell and they have a bar where you can sit and have a drink. We were surprised that the hotel didn't advertise this and the lady did say she was going to drop flyers off to the reception.
We did a round the island tour which we arranged ourselves with the taxi driver who picked us up from the airport.
We also went to Shirley Heights on the night they have, BBQ,bar and entertainment . This was organised by the hotel.
My husband celebrated his 70th Birthday there and the staff sat us in the special occasions gazebo on the beach for dinner and sang to him.
All in all we had a great time and would go back.
We spent a week at the hotel. As many others point out, some things are a bit dated and could use a facelift. However, the room was comfortable and very clean. We had a small maintenance issue when we arrived, the patio door would not lock. It was reported to reception, we went for dinner and returned to a new lock on the patio door. The towels in the room were inconsistent, some days no hand towels, but whenever any more were needed housekeeping was quick to bring some. Pool towels were sometimes hard to get but were some of the nicest pool towels of any resorts we have been. We stayed in a partial ocean view cabana with great views of the ocean. The hammock on the balcony was a great touch.
The food was good. We had no difficulty finding something we liked each night as they had daily specials in addition to the regular menu. We were on an all inclusive package which was well worth it. The restaurant staff, Spice, Markie, Selwyn, Caroline, Maria and others were all hard working and friendly. The house wine was good, better than some we have experienced in the Caribbean.
The beach and pool are well maintained. There were enough lounge chairs for both and easy access to the bar. Overall, the hotel was very quiet and relaxing. It is definitely an older crowd. There are a lot of uneven surfaces and little steps on almost every path.
The best feature of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Quame and Andre at the bar will take good care of you. They made great chocolate martinis and Long Islands. We would definitely return. The short ride from the airport was definitely a benefit.
Sadly, as I was on a work visit, I only had a very short night’s stay, but I loved the ambience of the resort, and all of the staff I met were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, with the restaurant in a beautiful setting.
Good for a solo trip. Hard to get non-fried food. Too much sugar and fat all around. They aren't clear who their audience is. Nice staff. Beautiful beaches.
This was a fantastic place! We spent the holidays here and the rooms, the restaurant, the clean and soft beach and especially the people were amazing.
The only detractor for us was the lack of food choices. A snack bar or smaller portions on the menus would be nice.
Great experience! The staff were so lovely and hospitable. The room was just right and the views were amazing. Very clean too.
We had the BEST 10 nights staying at Ocean Point. Our holiday was booked with TUI, all inclusive. On arrival the check in process was fast, and we were given complimentary rum punch and fruit punch. There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room for my mums birthday. On check out the hotel gifted us all with a travel mug with the Antigua island map, which was a lovely surprise.
Myself and my two sisters are vegan, and the chef/kitchen staff went out of their way every day to make sure we had a variety of outstanding vegan meals, either by adapting dishes already on the menu or creating brand new dishes and asking us what we would like. Shout out to the Oreo cheesecake! We only ever had to eat the same meal every day if we chose to do so. It's so rare to come to an all inclusive hotel and be catered to in this was for a dietary requirement.
They also set a special table up for us which was decorated beautifuly for my mums birthday, and made a special dessert for her which they brought over whilst singing Happy Birthday.
The hotel itself was clean, and not at all overcrowded with people. There is two private beaches, both clean with plenty of sun loungers. A huge salt water swimming pool. It's only a 7 minute drive from the airport, which was so nice after a long haul flight.
Hotel staff all extra lovely and helpful. They helped us with booking car hire, taxis and excursions all at an excellent rate.
Just returned from our 7 night stay at Ocean Point, i went with my best friend and we had an amazing time. The hotel is small and very welcoming. The staff are just lovely, I will mention some, Lanie is just lush, always smiling and ready to help, she is usually working at the bar or restaurant hostess. Restaurant Staff/Management Maria, Aleisha , Caroline, Kerry-Anne, Spice, all very attentive. The bar staff, Quame & Andre, making lovely Cocktails & Smoothies. We were all inclusive, but it's not buffet style it's Ala-Carte, with so much choice and Daily specials. My particular favourites, the sushi starter, lovely Fish dishes, with choice of sides.it was my friends Birthday while we were there and was given a bottle of bubbly & a special table at dinner, the staff made it really lovely for her. Our room was lovely, cleaned every day, beautiful sea & pool view, we had a hammock.
Dont expect daily entertainment,
But do expect total relaxation on 2 beautiful beaches.
Take a little walk down the road to find a little shopping village with bar and cafes. We had lunch at Dawnes on our last day and it was lovely.
We stayed for 10 days at Ocean point in november 2025. We had the all inclusive package and stayed at a garden view room. I liked this hotel, it was just right for us. Not too fancy but comfortable, clean and relaxing. Comfortable beds and a cute little terace area with a hammock. I'd say three stars is about right. Grounds, rooms, beaches and pool area was kept clean. Staff and service were very friendly 🩷 Only thing I would change is the food. It was definitely not bad by no means but very much lacking in flavour. Not one item on the menu had any spices, everything was very safe and almost bland tasting. Breakfast quickly became repetitive, same same every day.
Customers vere mostly between ~40-60 and seemed to be mostly couples.
If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs because the frogs are _loud_ during nighttime 😀 There are cats wandering about the hotel area. They keep to themselves but it's worth noting if you are allergic.
Great food, restaurant quality on and all inclusive is rare to find. But this hotel is doing just that
Friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble
