Comfortable but floor cleaning fairy needed.
Pros:

The room and location were great. Bed was comfortable and great to have good air conditioning and cooking facilities. Close to everything that we needed access to, so allowed us to walk where we desired.

Cons:

Unfortunately as the rooms are rented to mining staff, the floors were imbedded with coal dust and the washing machine was stained with coal. We coped with this by wearing socks indoors and refrained from washing our clothes, however paying $500+ a night, this isn’t really acceptable. Perhaps a good steam cleaning of the floor and shower floor tiles, and having the carpet cleaned regularly might be an idea.

Wonder stay and amazing staff
Pros:

Spectacular service. The very beautiful Amy was amazing and took care of me on check-in and made effortlessly and the amazing Chris was around to goodbye. The room was perfect for our needs and we have decided that this will be our weekly stay in Moranbah. Location is central and it’s very quiet.

Friendly and informative Host. Location is most convenient. Linen was crisp, neat & clean.
Local to folk we know, to catch up with...

Cons:

A stove top that didn't work. No doubt that'll be rectified by now. We were just the "lucky" ones who missed our dinner as planned.

Accommodation and location great. Someone opening my door during the night - not so great
Pros:

The staff were very pleasant and professional. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well stocked with essential kitchen utensils. The area was quiet but there were several take away stores within a couple of minutes

Cons:

Security. Prior to going to sleep I placed a chair against my locked door. In the morning I noticed the chair had been pushed back away from the door. It was obvious that my door had been opened during the night. This was very disturbing particularly as I didn’t hear anything. I did report it to reception and suggest they check their security cameras.

Pros:

We visited Oaks Moranbah due to illness of a family member. The trip was an emotional and distressing time and the staff at Oaks Moranbah went above and beyond making our trip easier than it could have been, including an upgrade to accommodate another family member attending at the last minute. We will be forever grateful for their ongoing assistance during our stay.
