Do me a favour and spend your money elsewhere. Booked a room for 2 persons, with breakfast buffet included, but when we had to eat breakfast it was only for one person, never said that on the reciept from Expedia. Staff was slightly rude and ignorant. The pool is made for midgets (sorry) you cant even take a swim in it. The maintenance of the hotel is poor and we even got upgraded to a suite, we had to share a towel and a bathrope, as they only give out for 1 person?!. Food was not that great either, so i would recommend to find another hotel
Staff are excellent , welcoming and friendly. They are very much disposed to help and assist customer in any way they could. Above all the breakfast is superb, delicious and fulfilling . Great value for money spent. I will use them again anything am in Abuja. I enjoyed every moment I spent. Thanks to Expedia for linking me to 3J's Hotel Limited.
There was quite a bit of confusion about my booking which was very quickly rectified by the manager. Any problems were professionally sorted out by the very keen manager, who would do anything to make you have a good stay. Overall all staff were very respectful and happy to see you once you walked through the doors. One more thing to add to your already excellent hotel is live shows. It's too dire in the evenings with nothing much going on. maybe suggestions of live bands or live entertainement please.
Good personel, particularly the manager.
I paid for Executive Suite on Expedia. They put me in the Classic/cheapest room they have and lady at check-in insisted that's what I'll get unless I produce a receipt that specifically states the amount I paid. I checked into the cheap room which was unsatisfactory. After expensive telephone calls back to Expedia and sister back in the US liaising, finally was able to show an electronic receipt to the manager and got moved to the right room. The experience left a bad taste in the mouth and I was thankful I'd only paid for 5 nights instead of the 15 nights I'll be here. I changed hotels, yesterday, on Day 5. The ordinary staff in housekeeping, security and room service are extremely nice but the hotel admin needs work. Also didn't care for the 3-channels-only TV -- no international news, no sports channels. Overall 3.5 out of 6, purely for the friendly support staff and large size of the executive room. Price is reasonable.
Lovely simple quiet hotel, good base for business with fast wifi. Had its problems, but good breakfast, firm bed and good staff
I stayed my first time in 3J's Abuja earlygFebruary. While a bit rough around the edges, the staff were friendly, the bed nice, the food fairly good, and the room was quiet.
This time, the reception was very nice. I had upgraded to a deluxe room. Unfortunately, it was on the 3rd floor and very noisy. The room faced on the back looking hidown on the pool and bar. I arrived around noon and by 15.00 it was so noisy, with shouting, and roustabouting in the pool, music blaring that I could not concentrate without headphones. The food at dinner (each night was not good - service wasn't great either. I had no water for a shower my second night, which, really was unacceptable. The room was noisy each night, noise in the hall, noise in the back. Not pleasant at all.
The problem is that this was during a business week and the hotel sells itself as a business hotel. To have so much noise and partying every night was very distracting to me on business. I doubt very seriously I will be back and I do not recommend 3J's for the business traveller unless it tightens up its guest rules.
My room in 3J's Abuja was pretty basic. The bed was big, nice, mattress firm, the way I like it. The air conditioner worked, excellent in the 37C weather. I arrived from London very early. The breakfast buffet was good, nothing fancty, but, good. The staff were friendly, and, once they knew you, extremely accommodatiing.
The hotel is a little island in Abuja - once accepted as a resident, everyone if very friendly and helpful, from the desk staff to the restaurant. It is pretty basic, but, good for the business traveller.
The staff are generally really friendly, and it's secure but - Intermittent hot water, restaurant staff actually irritated when I wanted to put my dinner bill on my room, bar was dark like a nightclub even in the middle of the day, the place was just crumbling, some of it looked like it had been a building site for years, wifi not good enough for work or Skype calls.
A very good hotel that make your stay enjoyable
It was a wonderful stay and enjoyed it with my family
Hotel was very nice for the price. The staff was very attentive and made everything from the check in to the check out an easy process. The food in the restaurant was good and available through room service 24 hours. I would definitely stay here again.
Compared to other higher cost Abuja hotels, the price for this hotel was very fair and the comfort, cleanliness, food, staff responsiveness, etc. were quite comparable to those others and was very suitable for my needs
Room was fairly clean, bathroom had water issues, bed was comfortable, paint color was not a pleasing color, avacado green- darker.
Frendly and helpful staff
This hotel is not 4* - I rate it as 2or3* - bathroom needs urgent attention - I will go back on next trip to Abuja
I spent a week at the J's Hotel and nothing was to much trouble for the staff when dealing with the guests. The room was large, spacious and cleaned daily. The location of the Hotel suited my needs so I didn't have an issue with it being out of the City Centre. Overall a good Hotel and I'd happily stay there again.
Overall, our stay at 3J's was positive ~ the staff were prompt and attentive, the internet was fast, and the bed was comfortable. However, when my husband and I went down to enjoy our complimentary breakfast, we were informed that it was only breakfast for one person, even though we had booked a room for both of us for several days. We were quite shocked at this, as this was not at all clear in their promotional materials. As the hotel did not allow outside food/drink, one of us skipped breakfast each morning, rather than pay for the pricey breakfast for the other person. Frustrating!
not a 4 star by far i would not rate it even 1 star
Nice place to stay. Very friendly staff. Good value for the room rate.
