Novotel Panama City

I had a great stay here for two nights and would definitely stay again. The hotel was solid and very clean. The rooms were basic but spacious, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I also really appreciated that they allowed me to store my bags for a few hours after checkout, which made my last day much easier.

Breakfast was excellent for the price, with plenty of options. There was an omelette station, a good variety of fruit and bread, and several hot items to choose from.

Overall, a great value and a comfortable, hassle-free stay in Panama City.

I was warmly welcomed by a very friendly gentleman and lady upon arrival, which created a positive first impression. However, I was disappointed that my Accor Gold status was not acknowledged, even though I presented my membership card at check-in.

The room itself had a few issues. The TV was not functioning, and there was no remote to be found. It took some time for the issue to be resolved. Additionally, several lights in the room were not working, which also required attention from the maintenance team. The view was looking down on a dirty roof top with what seemed to be broken air-conditioned

Room service was used on the first day of my stay, but the dishes were not cleared and remained in the room until checkout three days later, which was unexpected. The cleaners of the room were not very well done. You can clearly see that it is a 10 minute quick job and not a proper cleaning system in place.

On a more positive note, the food & and beverage and bar experienceweres excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the chef kindly prepared a healthy egg white omelette on request. It was also a nice touch that the chef came out to personally check on guests during breakfast.

However, I did encounter an issue on the last night of my stay. I was charged a reduced fee for having a guest, which I accepted, but the interaction with the night shift staff was disappointing. They were unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable, as though I had done something wrong. My guest was also left feeling embarrassed by the situation and the way it was handled.

In this day and age, a more respectful and understanding approach is needed. While the stay overall was acceptable, I believe the staff could benefit from further training in customer service and communication to ensure all guests feel welcomed and respected.

My room was great, view was beautiful, English is not widely spoken in the hotel however service was pretty decent.. hotel was smack downtown ish .. walking distance to many places to eat, tattoo shops, nice nightlife and all around.. 3-4 star hotel

The best thing from this is there staff: very friendly and ready to make your life easy. The Breakfast is very good with a omelet station and every day diferente hot breakfast. Inside is always clean, outside it's not that nice like in the pictures from the hotel that was a little disappointed for me. But I can't complain at all for the service, room and food so they make it up to be a very enjoyable vacation for us.
In less than 5 minutes you can walk from the hotel to the metro station via Argentina, from there you can get to malls and even the airport!! So it's on a great location with a few options to eat right there.
