Cons:

La salle de bain n’était pas propre, et l’évier était bouché (on a demandé une intervention mais rien n’a été fait) et les oreillers sentaient mauvais à notre arrivée (ils nous les ont ensuite changé)

wir sind mitten in der nacht angereist, super schnell checkinn und dwn auch noch ein upgrade zum grösseren zimmer.

Cons:

pool etwas weit weg, aussehalb des hotels.
frühstück etwas indonesisch lastig, und fast keine früchte. das war ein wenig schaade

I had a wonderful stay at ibis Padang, staying in rooms 616 and 618. Overall, the experience was very pleasant, and I truly appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the entire team.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a beautiful mountain view that made the stay even more enjoyable.

One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast. There was a great variety of food, including many delicious local Indonesian specialties. I particularly enjoyed the sala lauak — my personal favorite, or as I like to call it, the “Arancini of Pariaman” 😁. The ketupat gulai paku was also delicious and gave me a wonderful taste of authentic West Sumatran cuisine.

A special thank you to Mr. Erick, Food & Beverage Manager, Delia, Mr. Hendy, and the entire Egg Station team. They were incredibly attentive and made my breakfast experience even more special. The egg station team prepared my eggs exactly the way I wanted them — absolutely perfect!

Another memorable moment happened when my car suddenly broke down one morning. I was very grateful for the immediate assistance from Mr. Erick and the Engineering team, who kindly helped me start the car using a jumper. This was a simple gesture, but it demonstrated the team’s genuine care and willingness to go the extra mile to assist a guest.

Thank you to the entire ibis Padang team for the excellent hospitality, warm service, and genuine care throughout my stay. These little details truly make a difference and create a memorable guest experience.

I will definitely be happy to return to ibis Padang and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Padang. Keep up the great work! 👏

Very bad experience.
Pros:

The location and breakfast were good.

Cons:

There was a bad smell in our room, especially in the bathroom. Also the corridor smelled lijs smoke from cigarettes. We had booked for 5 persons, but the staff insisted that we booked only two double rooms so they charged extra for an additional mattress on the ground for which we needed to wait another hour and a half, even after we indicated that our 6-years old needed to go to sleep.

Coste del taxi al aeropuerto mucho más caro que por apps como grab. El baño de plástico parecía de avión. La zona de la piscina súper descuidada.
