I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay absolutely earned one. Check in was a disaster from the start. We arrived before 4 PM and got a very slow line. Check in was at 4 and we were told to wait…no problem. No room was ready until after 4—and were told we had to get back in another long, slow line and wait all over again.
Brian at the front desk was especially unhelpful. We had comps to use but couldn’t access anything because we didn’t have a room key yet. Instead of helping, he shrugged it off and offered no solution. We were even told the pool bar was open, only to walk all the way there and be turned away because—again—we didn’t have a key. We had comps but couldn’t do anything because we had no key. No help from Mister Helpful himself.
The problems didn’t stop there. The room was never made up during our stay, and every attempt to get basic service felt like pulling teeth.
Overall, terrible service, terrible communication, and zero sense of hospitality. I would not stay here again.

Great rooms and nice courtyard

This place should be stripped of their IHG branding. Absolutely garbage experience. Staff, the hotel itself, the restaurant, all bottom tier garbage. This may as well be a motel 6 run by high school kids. They even charged my card at the bar for drinks I paid for with cash.

The hotel is in a great location near a park and central to the historic downtown distric. However the staff were uninterested in being polite or welcoming during our stay. We were greeted by the valet who demanded our car keys and angerly thrusted out his hand to grab them. The street parking was open so we opted not valet our car and he became very irate. The next morning we went to the coffee bar and not only were they out of coffee but cups and creamer. I asked the front desk about the coffee and she just shrugged and said oh well! This is not the experience we usually get from a Kimpton hote.

The room was nice and spacious. loved the extra sitting room and tv area. It's nice that we could have a coffee pot in our room on request.

This hotel has a nice vibe but is lacking:
Coffee at 6 AM was appreciated. Maintenance appears to be fair at best.
Tired appearance as many post Covid hotels are now showing despite higher rates . TV-Many local network TV stations not operative. Subscriptions expired?
Solid surface Flooring common areas are dirty or in need refurbishment.
Any carpeting needs replacement: elevators, high traffic areas ect.
Although charging top dollar auto valet unimpressive.
EXTREME motor/equipment noise on premises ran at idle all night, no sleep.
Very noisy on street corner.
Our room was not on waterfront despite the Internet description. Hotel is across the street with very limited river views.
Central Phone system inoperative.
Overall not a great value for what they charged. A disappointment.

We had a wonderful dinner at Pacci Italian Kitchen. Amanda added an extra spark to our night, not only was she an excellent server, but she is very knowledgeable about Savannah and just a very caring genuine person, you can tell she actually cares and that is hard to come by this day and age. She is a keeper!
The shrimp scampi was amazing!

Dinner at Pacci was absolutely delicious! But what made my experience is the service. My server Shakearia was phenomenal! It was my wife birthday she went above and beyond! She was so professional and very personable. I asked to speak with a manager, she stated that she was the supervisor on duty. This young lady needs a promotion. She is the highlight of this place!

My wife had the cheese and fig pizza, I had shrimp scampi. Both recommended from Shakearia. Neither dish lacked in flavor and the presentation was 10 out of 10. If you are in Savannah and looking for great food please don’t pass up on Pacci. Ask for Shakearia! She is the definition of hospitality! We did not stay at the Kimpton Brice just a nearby bnb but we will for sure stay at Kimpton Brice our next visit !

This was the best experience, best hospitality the employee Shakearia Williams was so wonderful cheerful,patient & respectful and most of all her customer service is everything.She deserves a award!!! Great personality she went above and beyond i definitely will be visiting Brice again!!!

Without question one of the worst hotels of my life- and I am a travel writer. I arrived here excited, only to be given a suite that was in darkness with no functioning light switch and a fridge which made so much noise I had to unplug it.When i complained to reception the lady there just nodded and confirmed she knew about the light switch being broken. I was then moved to a smaller room for which i was told i would be refunded the difference. This is where the absolute chaos started. The entire hotel had been booked out by spring breakers. My room was in the middle of them all. (Paying guests should have been informed about this). The entire corridors (plural) were filled with music until late at night, screaming, running around- and a fight even broke out in the room next to mine after i asked them to turn down the music. I then complained to reception who did absolutely nothing and said she could not move me but i was welcome to find somewhere else to sleep- this was at 10pm on a Saturday night. There was no security on the door to deal with the fight or the noise so in the end at 11pm I had to find another hotel. There was never any apology or offer to help me find another hotel or even pay for the uber to get there. Honestly, it was shocking. To add insult to injury i was told that I would be refunded for the stay since the room i had booked was basically not usable for a night's sleep. Booking.com, who i booked though, have still not heard from reception to confirm this. Instead I just got a one liner to my own email from reception saying 'waive fees'- that was it. So now I'm wasting time between Booking.com and trying to hear back from someone responsible at Bryce (it's impossible to call or email) to get this fixed. I dont know who is the manager at this place but things are not being run correctly which is very sad.
Added to which this hotel is basically for budget travellers. The rooms are basic and not at all what you would expect for the price. The only relatively nice area is the reception which they choose for most of their photography. I have never written a review like this but it was so bad I felt compelled so that other travellers can be aware. Avoid at all costs.

The location.

This hotel was provided by American Express Platinum Travel and was one of the worse hotel experiences. I am shocked that Amex would recommend it, much less for $1,420 for two nights.

The check in was miserable when only one person at the desk and a long line of people
No early check in and not upgrade
The desk person could not get me our welcome letter as he was too busy, but assured me it would be delivered to the room. It was not
Room was dirty, could almost not see through the filthy windows
Bathroom mirror was dirty
The wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling away
Toilet paper holder was loose and thus the roll keeps falling off
Breakfast service was slow and the food arrived cold.
Tried to talk with a manager, but no manager until after 3

We have stayed in better roadside motels than this “four star” hotel
