Great stay if you won’t be using the room for anything other than showering & sleep.

Asking for towels was insane, you were treated as if you were going to steal the towels. The room was literally tiny. You had to ask for your room to be cleaned

Disgusting rooms, aggressive neighbors, rude and racist hotel staff, and a manager that is hostile.

When we arrived the man at the front desk took us up to see the room. He said the room was clean and ready to go. However when we stepped inside and looked around the room was disgusting. There was marks all over our walls, one mark was a full foot print. There was mold on the shower curtain, balls of hair in our bed, fingernails next to the night stand, and mold in our AC unit. The door was flimsy and felt like it could have easily been pushed in. We almost roughed it out until 9pm hit and our neighbors did what I can only describe as throwing themselves against the walls. I could hear yelling that extended out to the front porch right around our AC unit which was in the window and also could have easily been pulled out because it was not screwed into the window the was it should have been. After about an hour of not stop banging on the walls and yelling we went down to the front office to complain. The girl at the front counter of obviously new and didn’t know how to handle the situation. We told her that we felt unsafe in our room as it sounded like our neighbors were fighting as well as the condition of our room. She also gave us attitude and told us she could more us to a different room. However, when we turned around we could see a man starring at us from the balcony as we complained. (He knew we were complaining because he came down to the office as we were talking to get towels.) We felt so unsafe we found a different hotel to stay in that night and were in our new hotel in less than an hour. The next day we went back to Ocean Lodge to return our keys when the girl at the front desk apologized for our experience and ensured us that we could get a refund for the last 2 nights of our reserved stay. She tried to justify that the girl’s behavior behind the desk was just because she was scared. She then explained that she has had some bad experiences with people staying in the hotel, only to follow that by stating that “Americans are too free.” We left after that

Cons:

We booked 2, 2-bedroom apartments for 16 people and when we got there, they gave us only 2 parking passes for 2 cars. I don’t know how they would think that 16 people can fit into 2 cars…? So they made us pay for 2 more parking passes. And 1 apartment was nice and cool but the other apartment on the top level, the AC was not turned on and was super hot when we got there.

Pros:

The location was absolutely amazing it was walking distance from the beach and boardwalk. It was so nice and quiet at night.

Cons:

There was hair on the wall of the shower when we got there but that is a simple fix of paying a bit more attention when cleaning the rooms.

Best location, wonderful staff, located near walkable restaurants.
Pros:

Staff and location were amazing.

Cons:

The lack of TV channels. The wifi never worked. (The staff did try to help fix the wifi). The position of the toliet. The main door didnt have a lock. I wish there was a little more security.
