Top Malioboro Hotel

Location is quite far from Malioboro if we go on foot, perhaps is good distance for jogging anyway.
The hotel has all basic needs including simple tea coffee making facilities.
Water supply in the room is very good and the pressure also well maintained.

Room is spacious, and impressed by how quiet it was despite the busy road in front and activities around the hotel. It is indeed affordable and not too far from Central (Malioboro Street, etc). Yet, the toilet and the sink needs more attention. I practically had to do some cleaning myself before I used them.

Had a comfortable sleep in this hotel. Excellent service especially to the room cleaners. Affordable price and most importantly, it’s smoking free, greatly appreciate that.

However, the bed is quite dirty as there were stains all over the bed sheet & blanket. My doubt on the cleanliness of the towel arises too.
Furthermore, the wall at the make up table was dirty and it stains the chair as well, I have no idea what was that (picture attached below) Lastly, the worst news, u might need to recheck every room as I have found there’s a sign of termites eating the wood of the main door (picture attached below).

I hope the management could consider to set up a ventilator in the toilet as there’s no way for the ammonia to be sucked out and removed all the pests!!

Gave us very bad rooms at the start , toilet was bad , Air condition did not work after telling off the staff we got a decent room , we were very disappointed, it did not rate even up to a 2 star hotel

Really nice reception staff and good hotel. Very clean and central. Pool was very small. The location is very close to Malioboro Mall. Only issue was we were charged 250,000 for the airport pick up. We decided to get a metered taxi back and it came to 50,000 so a bit disappointed that the hotel charged so much. I understand it would be more expensive for a pick up as they have to wait for us to arrive but that much more seems like they've taken advantage which isn't very professional.

I went with my family. When we wanted to check-in the room was not ready and it takes 15 minutes. I like the concept of a restaurant located on the roof so we can see through the city. and the menu is a local food menu.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff but only 1 pillow per person. They charge extra for an additional pillow .

Was quite impressed when I stepped inside the room. Quite large room and decent sized bed with flat screen TV. But the nightmare came when I stepped inside the bathroom. VERY rusty toiletries holder, badly stained sink, toilet spray not functioning properly, and questionable towels (colour no longer white but looked somewhat white due to the lighting, this made me question the cleanliness of the bedsheet as well). It's like no effort was put into cleaning at all. I was okay with all of these cause the hotel was so cheap. BUT more nightmares to come.

I slept early (around 9PM) cause I was so tired walking around the city. But was woken up by very very VERY noisy group that just came in. I think the group consisted of bunch of kids/preteens. They shout and run around at the corridor VERY loudly. And then around midnight someone called my room asking who am I?? Was very sure that it was one of the kids from the group. I decided not to entertain them and shut the phone. But the same person called again few hours later asking the same question! Then every half an hour or so you can hear that some kids are running outside. What the... Then my partner inform me that the aircon is leaking. And that's it. I had enough with this hotel. Checking out. (Booked for 2 nights but decided to check out after 1 night)

Location was further than expected and there are very little food options / attractions nearby that can be reached by walking.

Don't think that hotel management will read this and improve the hotel. But let this review be a warning to future travellers! I really don't recommend this place.

The hotel is quiet comfort, I mean with the price (it just 270k include breakfast)
The room is comfort, lot of tv channels, the bed cover has a stain but it does't matter.

The problem just from the bathroom, it has a weird smell.

nice business hotel at the center of jogjakarta. however parking management could have been better.

Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Grounds are beautiful and not at all crowded. Rooms are updated, modern,and very comfortable with full kitchenette with complimentary coffee and water. Great for breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately we didn't request a second floor room or a king bed when reserving. We were so exhausted when we arrived we didn't feel like moving. Our first floor room was pleasant but our 'ocean' view was around another unit and through the trees so very limited. We were also in an end unit and next to a walkway so there was lots of 'traffic' from maintenance carts and people walking by. Not quite as private as I would have liked. The restaurant was excellent. All in all it was a lovely visit. I would return and choose a better room.

The public areas are beautiful but are very dark in the evening. A few lamps would warm up the lobby and restaurant entrance area and make it feel more inviting.

All in all pleasant,.
The rooms are modern and new.
The staff is slow.
Ex: we asked for a wake-up call for five, we had a plane to catch. We got the wake- up call at twenty to six...So, no breakfast... They told us, it was the system....

I enjoyed staying at this hotel even though not so near to town but is still not that far from malioboro

LOVE STAFF'S HOTEL. VERY HELPFULL. THE HOTEL CHEAP WITH GOOD FACILITIES.

Generally the hotel room was all right, clean and decently priced. However one can easily hear noise from outside, be it from the walkway or road. Breakfast was rather poor though. Thumbs up for the selection of TV channels.

After reading some very promising reviews I booked this hotel for 5 nights.

cons:
water pump! this constant banging from the water pump woke me every few hours and even changing rooms didn't solve the problem.
the breakfast was terrible. the only thing we could eat was toast.
the location is 2km from the mall and not 700metres as stated by the hotel.

pros
hotel staff were great.
the roof top bar was nice and served nice food.

Overall this hotel has potential however some problems need to be sorted out.....like that water pump!
