Modern, clean and comfortable
A little further out if town than I realised (my fault) but beautiful setting
Beautiful property, very large clean room with a fireplace and comfortable chairs. Small dining area. Nice View to large garden area and mountains. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and free parking.
The bathroom, while large could be a little better equipped. Heater was a bit noisy.
Although the motel is slightly outside of town, we didn't mind the 5min drive. Even without a car, there are some restaurants which will arrange pickup from the motel so this shouldn't be a big issue. There are many good restaurants in town which mostly do not take reservations, so just arrive early and have a drink before enjoying a good meal. The staff at the motel from check-in, housekeeping and check-out were extremely friendly which is important after driving across South Island for a month. Although the motel provided breakfast until 9:00am, we definitely did not wake up that early for it which is a shame. We would definitely recommend this motel!
Wish the breakfast hours could be extended as 8-9am is quite limited (and too early).....

The rooms were like new beautifully decorated. Great quality mattress and pillows. Complimentary breakfast was a bonus although very basic. A little out of town 5 or 6 mins so a car is essential. Staff very friendly especially Angela. Definitely recommended.

The location was great. Close enough to the town to be convenient but far away enough to be secluded from any noise.

Hotel was lovely, very comfortable with lovely views and a good breakfast. Owners Angela and her husband were so helpful when we had car problems, couldn't do enough to help us get back on the road which we really appreciated.

Lovely location and comfortable, high quality rooms. Excellent views of the mountains. Easy parking. Nice staff.
The breakfast was very basic and disappointing. A relatively small upgrade would have made our stay even more enjoyable. The coffee from the machine was terrible. Avoid! The ‘fruit’ came out of a tin. The bread was of the cheap, sliced variety. The yoghurt was sweetened rather than natural. Not great.
Very clean and comfortable! Very nice gentleman at check in/out. He gave us recommendations to eat and explore. Great price too.
