I could of slept in my car and got a better nights sleep.

it was the noisiest Hotel Ive ever stayed in, till 2 in the morning people roamimg up and down the corridors yelling back and forth, the parking lot is right in the middle of the building, horns honking constantly, will look for another Hotel next time.

The location is good but don’t let the “only hotel with beach access” sway your decision to stay here. Beach access in Tybee is different but the beach is easily accessible from several points. The room was dated but clean.

Cons:

I prepaid our room on Booking.com. However, when we checked in, we were charged again. The owner did reverse the charge after I brought it to their attention but 1) it should have never happened 2) I shouldn’t have had to bring it to their attention before it was fixed. I realize mistakes happen and I truly appreciate them fixing it. But, when I spoke to the front desk clerk about it originally, she made the comment that she would have the owner fix it that afternoon because he had several other things to fix. 😳 I’m not saying “don’t stay here”. I’m saying watch your credit card. Again, in all fairness, they fixed it. But, it took a couple of days for it to reconcile and that could have really put a damper on our vacation.

Matress was old and lumpy and pillows were uncomfortable. Otherwise would have been an excellent experience.

A clean hotel, but lacking in any amenities.

It was a good location and very clean.

Cons:

We booked an ocean view room, but it was overlooking the parking lot and the ocean view was pretty far away. We had a balcony but didn’t use it - felt like we were on display to everyone. The building was old and you had to use the old elevator - or go up some very dark stairs - to get to the office. The ice machine was in the stairwell, which made it stifling. The continental breakfast was pretty lame…some bagels and danishes, and cold cereal. Not even a waffle machine. They had pre-packaged waffles with large globs of sugar in them. Not very appetizing. Our floor was open to the breakfast area and front desk below, which made it pretty loud at night, since the desk was open 24/7.

The gentleman that checked us in was amazing. We arrived really early in the day and he was able to get us in our room before 4.

Cons:

The cable did not work the entire time we were there. It didn't seem like it was a priority to get it fixed. Also I had looked at photos of desoto gardens and it was the same address and assumed it was the same place. We did not see any garden areas or even a sign for desoto gardens. That was part of the reason I chose the property, a little disappointed

Wouldn’t stay there again
Pros:

Beautiful location. The room was clean. The lobby smelled horribly of cigarettes both days I was there. The stairwell smelled of marijuana. The staff was obviously nose-blind or responsible because they were not concerned at all.

Tub and toilet ran water all night. A/C didn't allow for fan to run independently of the A/C. Lots of noise from other rooms.

Great location !!!

Cons:

Check in during the evening was a bit rough. Had to stand there and wait for 15 minutes due to the receptionist being in the bathroom....washing up while her son was sitting in the dining area bringing her new clothes to put on and yelling at her to hurry up. Wasn't a good first impression.
