Breakfast was great. The "ocean view'" was like looking at the ocean thru a tunnel since there were long bldgs on each side

The in room coffee pot was nasty. It still had grounds on the basket and old coffee in the caraf

Overall good stay for so close to the beach.
Pros:

Breakfast was basic but good. The location right on the beach was fantastic. Furniture was updated and beds very comfortable.

Cons:

The hotel is old. Bathrooms have been attempted to be updated and is poorly done.

Pros:

We had originally went to Savannah and everything was very expensive. We ended up driving to Tybee Island, found this lovely Jem!
The staff was excellent and very friendly. Was totally satisfied with everything

We were happy and if we visit Tybee again, this will be our hotel.
Pros:

The beach is beautiful. We liked that the DeSoto was a bit away from all the hubbub around 14th to15th. We rented bikes and that was our mode of transportation for our stay because parking is tight, taken,and you have to pay to park down there.

Cons:

We requested towels after setting out used ones and never received them. We had to raid a laundry cart we saw in the parking lot.

Coffee was terrible

Cons:

Update the bathroom; need more ventilation. Remove carpet ,; because it cause the room to smell like mold and that awful old smell
