Courtyard Jazan by Marriott

Let me start by appreciating the breakfast buffet. It was truly an amazing experience and kudos to the egyptian guy who gave a fantastic service.

Unfortunately, there’s always a time that restaurant, reception, and pool is always empty. No staff. You always have to look for someone whenever you need assistance.

Timing of pool and gym for men and women is a good idea. However, put someone at least in the area to explain the timing for those people who don’t know. Because on my last night in the hotel, while busy swimming, I got kicked out of the pool by a manager or supervisor because I came in men’s time which I wasn’t aware of.

I stayed @ Courtyard Jazan for couple of weeks and I am extremely happy with the service. All the staffs were very friendly and cordial. Food was really good and they have included Indian vegetarian dishes based on our request..I would certainly recommend this 👍

Excellent facility with courteous staff. I was here with work and liked how professional the staff is and the facility is very clean. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who visits Jazan. Thank you kindly for warmth and always going an extra mile.

Good experience especially friendly manager down to the staff .restaurant is good accomodating as well the food lamb chop the best first bite make u fill your craving satisfaction .room is clean all the time as well as the laundries makes you happiness

Everything was super super comfy and easy n fun it’s the best hotel in jazan indeed the smell very good in the hotel in the rooms also the whole reception team was so very kind and thoughtful also their manager baker abbasi very pleasant and kind person appreciate the effort so highly recommended!

IMO, the staff is very friendly. Room is clean. Food in the restaurant is great, Arabic food and Western. Giving 5-star to the restaurant staff for being polite and friendly, including the Manager. Mr.Asad

Outstanding location, excellent staff , super clean room

I booked at this hotel with Breakfast for 2 nights using Marriott website. I was well recieved at the front desk with greetings. I was told that my booking is with Bed only and no meals. I spoke to the Reservation Manager and after couple of minutes, he was able to sort that out.
Rooms are out dated and very old furniture and ambience. Room cleanliness is good and smells nice. Bathroom Ambience is out dated as well with bad shower head but it's. Clean.
The internet was fast and easy to connect.
Breakfast experience is Average and same goes to Room service I ordered for dinner.
One of the advantages are the fact that this hotel is attached to the Mall and has a direct access via lobby.

This hotel is very annoying.
The home services staff entered the room three time while I’m sleeping even without knocking. In the same time the telephone kept ringing from the reception to ask me if I want to extend my stay. They know that I have two hours until leaving.

NO RESPECT

Good amenities, good location close to shops and restaurants connecting to Alrashid Mall, clean well kept, big rooms, good swimming pool and gem spa is there also, good location on the Cornish and close to city center.

I stayed here for a break from work, as I have done many time during my time in Saudi. The lady on reception was very nice and extremely helpful and check in was quick. I was upgraded (I am a platinum member) and for the region the room was very nice. I went for a swim in their pool and I have to say the pool is looking rather tatty. The lights were hanging off and tiles were missing. The pool surround looked comfortable, clean and tidy. Breakfast was nice, lots on offer.

My colleague and I was dropped by our taxi at what we thought the the Courtyard by Marriott but as it turned out it was the Residences by Marriott. The receptionist apologised was very pleasant but told us we were at the wrong hotel and that the Courtyard was around the corner. At that moment Abdul (a manager I think) heard our predicament and enquired if we had a car, when we said we had been dropped by taxi. He then escorted us both across an adjoining corridor to the Courtyard on the 2nd floor past meeting rooms, spa, swimming pool and gym explaining how we could access all the other facilities. He was really very helpful and delivered us to the Reception where Bas ah took over and completed a very efficient and cheerful check-in, telling us all meal timings and services available within the hotel.
Just meeting these two made a great first impression.
The evening buffet I personally thought was again very good value compared to other equally smart hotels around Saudi.
There was a good selection of Western, Middle Eastern and Asian foods to try and savour. Breakfast again offered a very good selection in a buffet style.
The room itself was very clean and tidy good decor, although too dimly lit for me. The bed and choice of pillows gave me a good night's sleep which staying away is always difficult ultimately. Good quality towels and well stocked bathroom finished off a very good stay. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Jazan next.

A shame because it started so well. I checked in on Sunday and for the first time was checked in by a female on reception (It's great to see women doing more jobs in KSA). Her efficiency and service attitude would compare favourable to any great hotel in the word. I wish she had had a name badge so that I could praise her by name, but great job ma'am....

Buffet in the restaurant was slightly more expensive (maybe it's extra on a Sunday), but the food was good.

I was eating out on Monday and had a quick turnaround before going out. Entering the bathroom I got the impression that the housekeeping person had either fled or abducted by aliens part way through. No toiletries and more importantly all towels removed. I called the reception and a guy eventually came with a motley assortment of toiletries and towels. Stand off with the guy who seemed to think he deserved to be tipped for a rectifying a service failure, which was not going to happen.

On Tuesday after a long day I needed a quick bite so headed down to the buffet. A sign outside said that the restaurant was closed that evening (no reason given), and pointing us to another (more downmarket) hotel locally. I went back to my room and called reception who could not explain why the restaurant was closed. They confirmed that room service was still operating and I could just order from the menu, which would have been great if there had actually been a menu in the room. 20 minutes later a dog-eared menu with scribbles on it was delivered. I ordered ("could take up to 40 minutes"), and the food came after an hour. It was cold. I gave up at that point.

Checking out next day they refused to accept cash for my extras. I was asked how my stay had been. The minutes I didn't answer positively my response was blanked by the guy checking me out.

I guess there is not much competition in Jizan, but if this is really the best hotel then it is time there was some.

In short, it is fine when things go ok, but cannot cope when things go wrong.
