There is no AC but this is not the hotel staff's fault and also there as a heat wave all over Europe. The Hotel staff were great and brought a fan to the room.
The location
Dirty, outdated and poor conditions
Very basic, but clean and in a great location.
Very small, very warm in the summer although they did provide a fan it was hard to sleep in, beds comfortable enough but pillows like bricks.
Location to the train station (5 min walk)
Decent fan
Friendly staff
No AC (I was aware of it from prior reviews)
Narrow corridors and staircase (if you have a big suitcase)
Rooms are small but again I was aware of it and it was enough for 1 night sleep before early train
No table
Storage limited if you have lots of luggage
For the price - in the 80-100 bracket - this was pretty good for a very central hotel. I've seen a lot of hotels in this area staying over for work, and this place was clean, cheerful, en-suite, with the usual tea and coffee but also apparently room service (never seen this offered before around here). Comfy bed. Cute room.
The room was perhaps a little small, and the window in that top floor room opened out from the right while the room next door open out to the left, which made for an unwelcome intimacy I did not enjoy. I could hear the fellow snoring quite easily. I had to have the window open because the room was very hot. There's nothing you can do about that if there isn't any air-conditioning and this is a budget hotel, but they did provide a very adequate fan. I suppose the communal areas such as the staircase could do with a bit of TLC, much like many of the other Georgian Terrace hotels around here, but it is clean, and the staff are lovely.
Checking in was easy enough - ringing the bell on the front door brought someone from next door over to the check in desk. I'm not sure if there's normally a fan in the room but it was really appreciated as there's currently a heatwave. The room is small but if you're only there short term, it's fine. Great public transport links nearby, as with most of London.
The shower took a while to warm up, which was actually okay with it being so warm. It would have been good to have different soap and shampoo rather than a small disc of soap and packets of shampoo but it was still better than nothing!
La proximité avec Saint Pancras
très " vieillot " , pas de clim ( pénible alors qu'il faisait 32° à Londres en Juillet 2026... )
Great location and staff very friendly.
Room was small
Great location with easy access to multiple stations, the beds were comfy enough, staff were lovely the few times I saw them
The stairs are a safety hazard and I nearly fell down them multiple times because they aren’t stable or level, you have to ring the doorbell and wait 5 minutes for the staff to come around the corner and let you in as they’re not actually manning the desk, if you leave your luggage with them, it’s simply placed behind the desk and not secured, you get hand soap to wash your body with, that’s it and it’s the same one you use for washing your hands, the shower is so tiny you can barely fit one person in and the rooms are so close together that you can hear people doing their business and rocking up outside your room at 4am drunk.
Location only
Bedroom clean
The location of the bathroom and toilet needs to be clearly shown as it’s on a dangerous corner up steep steps. Anyone with walking difficulties, elderly or even children would be at risk of a very bad fall if using the facilities at night. Very risky even in the daylight. Step out of bathroom straight onto a small corner stair!
