Salalah Rotana Resort

We had a very enjoyable stay at Salalah Rotana Resort and would gladly return in the future.

The biggest advantage of the hotel is the beautiful, spacious and very well-maintained resort area with a wonderful wide sandy beach. Compared to the nearby Fanar Hotel, which we visited several times during our stay, Rotana suited us much better. Fanar tends to be much more crowded, while Rotana offers a calmer atmosphere and much more space. Fanar has more animations, but Rotana clearly wins when it comes to comfort and relaxation.

Another huge plus is the food. There are many restaurants and dining spots in the hotel – you could practically eat all day long, and the quality of the dishes is very high.

The Club Rotana Restaurant deserves a special mention. The dishes served there are excellent and the service is truly exceptional. The smiling and very friendly waitresses had a fantastic approach to our children. I would especially like to mention Kamala, Bindu and Snow, but we also warmly remember Kristine, Lulu, Florence and other members of the team.

We stayed with the Club Rotana option and believe it is a good choice if you can afford it. The stay without it would also be enjoyable, but the level of service and the way food and drinks are served in the Club Rotana Restaurant elevate the whole experience. The Club Rotana beach area is also very pleasant – lots of space, comfortable sunbeds, beach beds and the characteristic “coconut” loungers.

The only weaker point was the service in this beach area – the waiter was often absent and we usually went to the restaurant ourselves to get drinks. On the last day a different waiter was on duty and the situation improved significantly.

As for the downsides, the room standard does not fully match a five-star hotel and it is clear that some refurbishment would be beneficial. The most noticeable issue was the humidity. I understand the climate of the region, but sticky bed sheets were a bit too much. We also had several problems with the room key cards, which meant additional visits to the reception. Cleanliness throughout the resort was very good and the rooms were kept tidy.

Despite these minor drawbacks, it was a very enjoyable stay and a place we would happily return to. I hope that despite the current difficult geopolitical situation, the hotel will soon return to normal operation and that guests will once again be able to meet the same wonderful team of staff who create such a great atmosphere there.

TIP:
A taxi to Salalah ordered through the hotel reception costs around 15 OMR. If you walk outside the Hawana complex and arrange a taxi yourself, it can cost only around 3 OMR – a huge difference.

What a pleasent stay!
I can say for sure we had an amazing time in the hotel. The whole country is just marvelous with lot of things to do and see, but this wouldn’t be so nice without this hotel.

To start with, everywhere you go, everything is visit is super hygenic and clean. The furnishing of the hotel is beautiful and well thought of.

The restaurants are perfect. You can try various restaurants, our favourite was Silk Road, its a must.

Here we have to talk about the club rotana’s facilities, which offers many advantages when talking about dining, using the spa or just picking your room. The club rotana package is not a must, but definitely worth it fo those who love a little extra luxury.

The hotel staff is amazing, everyone is super kind and helpful and attentive to say at least.
. Special thanks to Sammy! He is the most professional guy we have ever met in the hotel industry. He deserves a huge compliment. Everything we requested was well taken care of as he really understands the guests need. We travelled with friends and family and I admit we had a lot of special request like rooms close to each other, last minute dinner reservations, extra drinks and snacks in the minibar, he always did as we wished.He really made our stay at the hotel unforgettable.
To sum up, if you are looking for a luxury trip to Oman, go with the Rotana

This was our second time at the Rotana Resort this year, and we spent two unforgettable weeks here. The organization was professional, the private check-in was quick, and the welcome was friendly. Our room with a sea view met all our needs. All of the restaurants are top-class and friendly, I would highlight Club Rotana, with friendly service at breakfast and dinner, as well as the Sunset Lounge on the beach, where the always smiling Ritu served delicious food. Thank you to the hotel staff and all members of the staff for this wonderful two weeks!

The food was really delicious! Especially pizza and grilled meat. Live music makes atmosphere at this place special. The staff were very friendly and nice. Come back with pleasure again!

However, what stood out most to us during our stay was the experience at the Beach Restaurant. The service here was absolutely superb - attentive, warm, and genuinely eager to make our visit enjoyable. We came with our family and children, and the staff handled everything with great care and patience. Their friendliness and professionalism made every meal memorable.

Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The combination of the resort’s beautiful environment and the excellent service - especially at the Beach Restaurant - made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend Salalah Rotana Resort to anyone looking for a fantastic beach getaway.

I would like to say some words about this amazing hotel! Beside the fact that every experience provided by this resort was incredible, people working there were making my time here unforgettable. Especially Ms. Bindu was extremely kind, cheerful and helpful as well! I’m very grateful for having her on our vacation, because she made my time even better by her putting in this much of effort! Ms. Snow is also really nice, sweet and helpful, so if u meet any of them your vacation will be memorized by you for a life time. I really recommend this place if you want to spend your free time as good as you can!

I’ve put quite a few feedbacks about Rotana Salalah for the last few years - always 5 star experiences. And although one could argue it’s pointless to write again about a high level of comfort,great food and endless white beaches of the Arabian Sea this time I'd like to focus on the Beach Restaurant and its manager Ms. Bindu. The restaurant serves tasty and fresh meals sometimes coming directly from the Ocean. Even though the place can be quite busy at times, Ms. Bindu takes good care of all guests,always smiling and being very attentive. She is one of the reasons we keep coming back to Rotana Salalah :)

The hotel is very comfortable, its location right by the beautiful white sandy beach and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean just unbelievable. The hotel's staff is friendly and helpful. Specifically,we would to express our special thanks to Ms. Bindu of the Rotana Club Beach Restaurant - the most caring and kindest person making every minute there a special experience. We really enjoyed our time at Rotana, which was only 30 minutes away from the Salalah airport. From restaurant staff to hotel porters and from reception to cleaning staff, everyone was approachable and friendly. Thank you to Razem for cleaning our room and to the reception staff for changing our room after we requested it. The resort was beautiful and clean.

This was our second time as premium guests at the Rotana Resort. This part of Oman's coastline is a wonderful place at this time of year, offering a pleasant summer atmosphere if you are looking for rest and relaxation. The service is very attentive, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The staff are attentive and helpful in all areas. Special thanks to the guest relationship managers, Sammy and Rulaa, but I must also mention Ashraf Uddin and his colleagues (many hard-working female colleagues) at the Rotana Club restaurant, as well as the chefs who are very skilled in international cuisine and who prepares the meal on the plates.
We had dinner twice at the Arabesque Turkish restaurant, which was a good choice.

As always, we were treated like royalty - not as guests, but as part of a family. The invitation to the Silk Road Restaurant, the magical seafood dinner right on the beach, and the access to the peaceful Rotana Club beach were gestures we deeply appreciated. Every moment felt thoughtfully crafted. Several times a day, the staff checked in to ensure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. This level of attention touched us more than you know.

This was our 13th stay here, and every time we return, it feels like coming back home - to a place that knows us, understands us, and welcomes us with open arms. The comfort, the wide selection of delicious food, the endless sunshine, the long walks by the sea, the peace and quiet that let us breathe a little deeper all create a sense of harmony we rarely find anywhere else.

It is wonderful to see how the hotel continues to develop year after year. We pay particular attention to the care of the green areas and vegetation, and it is clear how much effort goes into maintaining the beauty and serenity of the surroundings.
