Grand Zuri Malioboro Yogyakarta

I stayed a week in the hotel and really enjoyed it. Great service, friendly staff, good and clean room, food superb, amazing pool and location is perfect. Close to Malioboro and train station.

Overall, the family and I had a wonderful stay, the room was clean, the staff were super friendly and kind. We would came back and stay in thishotel again

Hotel bardzo wygodnie położony. Przestrzenny i wygodny. Bardzo dobra obsługa hotelowa. Są małe drobiazgi do poprawienia jak na przykład dokładność sprzątania, choć hotel oferuje nawet codzienne sprzątanie w pokojach to mam wrażenie że nie używa się odpowiednich środków i są miejsca które mogłyby być wyczyszczone co jakiś czas dokładniej. Dobra śniadania z dużym wyborem choć brakuje opisów potraw w języku angielskim co znacząco utrudnia znalezienie dobrych dla siebie opcji. Recepcja na 5+

Fantastic breakfast, a great way to try local dishes

Spent 2 night for new year 2025 celebration, the Grand Zuri hotel was an option which has strategic location/near Jl. Malioboro. The Staff at front desk has served us very well and warm hearted. For the price is quite expensive but it is due to the peak season period. The room is tidy and clean. But for next visit I will choose at high floor i/o level 3 which no has scenery. When the breakfast time, I enjoy for the food which has many option. A bit problem is regarding the parkibg lot which has limited for both upper and lower level. I have to park my car at the yard beside the hotel. But it is oke since the security will keep the car safe. Nice experience to spend 2 night at Grand Zuri Hotel Malioboro.

What a fountain of knowledge Bima ( front of house manager ) is ...soo helpful and full of excellent travel advice..all done with a smile First class !A real credit to the hotel ..and to his country ..makes travelling so much fun ! WEwill be back !

Eigentlich ein gutes Hotel aber mit Mängel.
Anfängliche Sprachprobleme der Mitarbeiter wurden im Nachgang mit dem Manager besprochen das Grundkenntnisse in Englisch geschult werden müssen und es keine Diskussion zwischen „Rain“ und „Train“ und anderen einfachen Themen gibt.
Desweiteren schliessen die Zimmertüren nicht vollständig weshalb es nachts zu dauerhaften Beleuchtung ins Zimmer kommt, zuzüglich dem ständigen Fahrstuhlklingeln. Ziemlich nervend. Türen bitte neu machen und Schall- und Lichtdicht umbauen.
Wenn diese Probleme behoben werden kann es mehr Punkte geben

Hotellet ligger meget centralt og tæt på togstationen, så det er nemt at komme rundt til seværdigheder. Også rigtig god kundeservice og stort morgenbuffet. Men mit værelse var desværre direkte ud til poolen, så der var meget lidt privacy hvis jeg ønskede at åbne gardiner. Hvis man bare ønsker et sted at sove, er det et fint sted. Værelset er ikke stort nok for to personer hvis begge ønsker at åbne kufferter samtidig.

We are pure vegetarian and since no indian vegetarian food is available, we ordered online food. They have allowed us to take food in restaurants during lunch hours which generally hotels didn't allow

I had a business trip. I ever traveled in Jogja in 2021 and had booking at this hotel. So fas it is very great. The room, the view, foods andsl services. Wish I cam come back here ver soon. And also it is near from Malioboro and it is good at night, we could only walk few minutes there.

We stayed for 3 nights along our 11-day trip through Indonesia. There are multiple factors informing my review and the simple fact is that this was the least impressive hotel of the 4 we stayed with across Bali, Labuan Bajo, Yogyakarta, and Malang.

It started with seemingly excessive correspondence via WhatsApp with what seemed like multiple staff asking about the same things and not coordinating with each other (airport pick up; hotel deposit; flight information). Their hotel website does not take payments and the staff wanted me to send my credit card information via email for payment and even requested a copy of my airline receipt for transfer; I refused both for obvious reasons of cybersecurity and protection of my personal information. They accepted my refusal and made an exception to allow me to pay upon arrival. However, I don’t think they understand the risk and significance of bumping one email hack away of compromising their guests’ credit card and personal information…

Our room keys didn’t work after check in so we had to return back to lobby to get keys fixed. Our room (746) had a nice view of the pool and surrounding street and horizon. It was cozy (small), but perfectly adequate. Throughout our stay we were not provided with any face or hand towels, only bath towels that appeared dingy and looked a bit aged. The bed was very firm, the minibar was locked refrigerator and continually had its light on shining into our room throughout the night. Nice big desk area for placing and staging things. But overall, hotel room and common areas seem a bit dated and becoming run down.

We arranged for an airport pick up through the hotel for 420k IDR (~$25). We booked a taxi for our return to the airport directly with the front desk, but then were told via WhatsApp the taxi’s were all booked up so they couldn’t do it. Rather than provide an alternate solution, i had to go back and forth with them several times via WhatsApp to confirm them to book a ride via a ride share app. Sure enough, the following morning we found out they hadn’t booked anything and we had the book via the Grab app that morning for 280k IDR; so how was it 420k to pick us up the first time?!?! It should also be noted transportation times to and from the airport vary significantly; it could take 1-2 hours depending on time of day and direction.

Upon check out they also tried to say we had taken a large water from the minibar; which I promptly let them know we had been locked out of the minibar throughout our entire stay. That apologized and did not charge us.

Overall, the great location cannot overcome the quality of the hotel (dingy towels, stiff bed, creaky and worn out couches in lobby, etc), and inconsistent and poor coordination amongst staff. I would absolutely not stay there again or recommend anyone else doing so. The most concerning part is that they are probably one email hack away from potentially exposing guest personal and credit card details; there’s no excuses for not having a secure payment portal or changing their procedure for prepayment.

Great location on Malioboro street and great breakfast buffet. Room is decent size but bathroom is a little rundown and room could have been cleaner - stains on sheets, coffee station hadn’t been wiped down, blinds dirty. It’s right on Malioboro so can be loud at night if that bothers you. Staff was not as helpful or knowledgeable as at other hotels in Indonesia. For example, when I had problems getting a Grab taxi to the airport they offered a very expensive private car, but o was able to go outside and hail my own taxi for same price as Grab and one-tenth the price as private car. So If you are reliant on hotel staff for assistance, tours, etc, might be challenging or very expensive.

Very good value for money.
Located close to town (walking distance to station and main street) but far enough away from the busy tourist area.

The rooms are a good size and have all necessary amenities. I was able to work using my laptop at the desk and wifi was good.

Bathroom is a good size.

Breakfast was very good for an Indonesian hotel.

I would be happy to stay here again.
