Golden Village Lodge

The room was not clean, floor and walls so thin couldn’t sleep because heard all noises all footsteps all night. You could even hear then punch the numbers on the microwave

The sheets were not clean and being that they're white I'd assume they could be bleached.

Great place with near by indian food option

The hotel was on the outskirts of Golden so apart from the Indian restaurant next door you had to drive for food options.
Staff were friendly but lobby doesn’t give a good first impression when you walk in.
The room itself was very noisy we could hear the full conversation of the people in the next door room.
I’m tall but the beds were built incredibly high and it was a struggle to get in them and the room had a damp musty smell.
There was an iron hung high up on the wall but no ironing board, no hairdryer.
We couldn’t get the TV to work and had to go back down to reception as they had given us wrong WiFi code.
No net curtains or blinds at window so it was curtains closed all the time otherwise people could see into the room.
There was a door behind the small table and chairs that I presume was a connecting door to the next room, this had no lock on it.
There was a coffee machine but no plug socket by it.
Very tiny bathroom but then a large area with a washbasin, this area would be best made into a proper large bathroom.
The room was very bright as the window in the sink area let in a lot of light and although it was frosted there was no blind.
There was a random tissue box in the wall (never seen this before!)
All in all we were very glad to check out and definitely wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Everything was dirty. We were given the key already but the room was not ready. We waited outside the room while they clean it! We asked to clean it again because the toilet was so dirty. I have a picture of the toilet

Some furnitures needed an extra tlc but overall good stay

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Hot water came quickly - always a plus! The pool? Biggest temperature difference ive seen in a hotel. The hot tub was almost too hot, and the pool was very cold!

This property is not safe.

The railing on the upstairs deck is covered in rust and has signs warning not to lean on a safety railing.

The hot tub is literally covered in electrical tape that is pealing off.

The beds do not have frames, it is a mattress resting on plywood.


When we asked to leave the owner refused a refund and threatened to call the police.

The AC stayed on high cold on our last night. Could not turn off the AC or lower the temp.

The room is clean, beds are comfy, its very quiet, and its easily accessible from the highway. There's a nice view of the mountains from the windows.

The rooms are quite nice and clean . The views from rooms are amazing . golden city is beautiful and this lodge is a good place to stay if you wants a place that is less crowded than banff.

Loved everything about it!

Very adequate property with a good rate for the month of June. The beds were very comfortable.

Friendly check in. Gave fresh towels each day. Good value. Convenient location.

We were there fir 2 nights. The rooms were pretty average for the price. We could hear people talking outside at night and early in the morning. There was no hot water neither of the days we were there, so we took cold showers in the morninggg. I would not recommend this lodge. It is very pricey for what it offers and no hot waterrr! ☹️

Great property. Check in was very smooth and the staff is also very friendly.
The only thing I would suggest is to add more toiletries like dental kit, shower cap and more quantity of shower gel.

Clean room. Nice place to stay

Front door, in the hallway, didn’t close or lock. Wasn’t a concern for the staff. The thermostat was in the bathroom. Poor quality.
