很開心在京都住到這樣的一間飯店，心裡覺得很滿意早餐也很好吃

很貼心的地方，在check in的時候大廳還有膠囊咖啡跟水培飲用還有地方可以坐著休息，我覺得真的很不錯

Great location & amazing staff
Pros:

Great location, comfortable room, nice public bath & great staff. One member of staff went above & beyond by helping us when there was an attempt to scam us into paying again for our next hotel in Tokyo. The staff called the other hotel for us

Cons:

Very bad WiFi connection in the room.

Had to go to the reception area to get a decent WiFi connection.

I would have given a score of 9 if it was not for the poor WiFi connection.

A beautifully designed hotel with wonderful staff, excellent breakfast and a fantastic onsen — we had a great stay
Pros:

Excellent hotel with beautiful, modern design and amazing staff. We stayed in two rooms, one for us and one for our teenage boys. We especially loved the lobby with its gorgeous interior garden and free coffee. Our boys really enjoyed the onsen. The breakfast was exceptional: a great buffet combined with a wonderful selection of fresh Japanese dishes. Almost too much to choose from! Great location and everything felt very well considered.

Cons:

The only question mark for us was the restaurant in the evening. It seemed quite empty and didn’t feel particularly inviting to sit down for dinner. This was a little surprising considering how excellent the breakfast was.

Quiet, nice staff , good breakfast
Pros:

As expected a good hotel in a quiet street with good food locations nearby (check on Tabelog), good breakfast that tries to show different aspect of the Japanese cuisine. The staff is very nice and always present. They focus on ensuring the guests are safe and can relax after a sightseeing day. Nishiki is not that far and the rest of the attractions should always be reached with public transportation like it’s normal in Japan considering how much surface cities cover in Japan. Interesting the extended luggage shipping service they have(quick shipping to the other Mitsui at the train station) but I didn’t try it.
Again, next time I’m in Kyoto I will be torn between just going to Matsui again or trying another excellent hotel…
