Pros:

Very nice hotel with wonderful staff.
The hotel has two pools, with sun beds and towels provided for guests.
Unfortunately many people staying in other hotels sneak into the Areca to use the facilities and use up sun beds and towels that are supposed to be for customers of the hotel. If you stay there and want a sun bed and towels and cannot get them, it is probably because none guests have beaten you to it.

Solid Mid Range Hotel
Pros:

I spent the last two months staying at Areca Lodge which is my go to hotel when staying in Pattaya.Nothing flash but a strong mid range hotel with good location,welcoming atmosphere,good facilities and friendly staff.
I’ve been coming to Areca for a number of years and always enjoy my stay here.The hotel is made up of three low rise blocks with two swimming pools,a restaurant,a small gym,breakfast area(lovely Thai lady on egg station)and large reception.
Various types of rooms but mine was great with pool view and small balcony.Cleaning staff are generally friendly and welcoming.Other staff are great too from service staff at poolside to staff working at hotel bar at front of hotel and reception staff.
The location is excellent about 15 minutes walk to the beach promenade and Central Festival shopping centre,close to the nightlife of LK Metro,Treetown and Soi Buakaew.
Guests are mainly middle aged and elderly westerners with the majority from the UK.The swimming pools are popular but to be fair there’s generally enough sunbeds to go around though some elderly Brits do like to think the sunbeds are theirs and no one else’s.
The only small issue I had was a regular scraping sound night and day in my room which I initially thought was someone moving the furniture in a neighbouring room but after being there for a while it sounds to me more like a plumbing issue possibly but not totally sure?
Overall another most enjoyable stay at Areca Lodge and will be returning again later this year.

Magnifiquement bien placé à Central Pattaya.très bon Hôtel.
Pros:

Emplacement très bon, jolies piscines, chambres assez grande et petit-déjeuner très bien.

Cons:

Matelas un peu dur pour moi et télévision non connectée et petite.

My go to spot
Pros:

This is my go to spot for a nice relaxing weekend in Pattaya, Nice rooms and staff and good location. Kind of in the thick of it but the hotel itself is very relaxed

Safety first ?? Not here
Pros:

I have been staying here for almost 3 months and I am disappointed that the dangerous swimming pool handrail has been in an unsafe condition all this time - and waiting for a serious accident

As an engineer I know that the excuse I was given for not fixing the issue (having to drain the pool) is a load of nonsense. There is no excuse when it comes to guest safety

I also see non residents walking in every day and being allowed to use all the pool facilities without payment - very annoying when staff allow this. Where is the pool management - non existing .
I hope that in future an effective manager is appointed .
If they want to know where all the pool towels go they only have to look at the adjacent apartments.
