Overall Impression:
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel; it is definitely worth the money and offers high-quality service. We were traveling as a family with a child and found the room to be spacious and tidy. The food was delicious, and the staff was very attentive.
Special Thanks:
Reception Desk: A special thank you to the lady at the registration desk (unfortunately, I don't know her name, but she is a beautiful lady in a suit and glasses) for all her help and attentive attitude.
Beach Team: Huge thanks to the guys who were with us on the beach (Irfan, Edilberto, Virendra, Iqbal) for their excellent service, pleasant conversation, and for keeping us in a great mood!
Management: If you have any questions that the staff cannot resolve, the hotel manager—a lovely tall gentleman :)—is always attentive and will do his best to help.
In some famous hotels, you often get "pushed around" when trying to solve basic issues, but here, they always go out of their way to help. They can change your room if necessary, and they provide extra items like adapters, yoga mats, or food containers for feeding a child in the room. The employees always check in to see if everything is okay and if anything else is needed.
Areas for Improvement:
For a hotel of this caliber, there should be a regular shuttle service to and from the beach. You should have more than one vehicle, and it should run much more frequently than once every two hours. This was the only downside that caused us discomfort, especially since we were traveling with a child and trying to fit a nap into our schedule.
Final Thoughts:
This is a wonderful hotel with polite and pleasant staff. Thank you for the great service, pleasant conversation, and positive mood!
Don't be late! The beach shuttle is like a VIP guest—it only shows up every couple of hours, so don't miss your chance! :)
Salala Garden is an excellent hotel – I think it fully lives up to its four-star rating.
The rooms offer all the amenities.
Pros: a bath, toilet, kitchen, stovetop, and cooking utensils are available upon request. The beds are very comfortable, and there's an iron and ironing board, as well as a hairdryer. Cons: the air conditioning can drip if you leave the window open for ventilation. There's limited space to dry clothes without a balcony.
Housekeeping: They clean well, change bed linens regularly every 2-3 days, and towels daily. They also refill the sugar, coffee, and tea bags.
Reception: You can contact them at any time. We asked about luggage scales (they're accurate – you can trust them), borrowed an adapter for a power outlet, and checked the beach shuttle schedule and daily routine. We were also greeted at reception with welcome drinks, and Tarek kindly helped us carry our suitcases to our room and connect to the Wi-Fi. Food
We stayed half-board – overall, the selection is quite good: dinner always includes meat/chicken, fish, a few side dishes, soup, salads, vegetables, and desserts. You can also swap a late dinner for lunch at the restaurant in the courtyard (they have their own menu and are individually served). Drinks include Fanta and Sprite, water, tea, coffee. Breakfast includes vegetables, fruit (watermelon, melon, apples, bananas, kiwi), flatbreads, pancakes, baked goods, tea, and coffee (we didn't really like it, so we bought our own). In the morning, there was a bit less variety, and we got a bit tired of it. If you need anything, you can ask the waiter or the chef – he often supervises the kitchen.
The shuttle from the hotel to the beach is always on time and there's plenty of space for everyone.
The beach staff is fantastic. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming – upon exiting the shuttle, you'll be seated on sun loungers with umbrellas and clean towels. Special thanks to Irfan Iqbal, Virendra, Berto, and Sonu – these guys are incredibly cool – they'll make your day fun and definitely not boring 😊 They're very attentive and friendly! The villa has Wi-Fi, table football, a bathroom with a shower, changing rooms with lockers and air conditioning, and a small pool. You can grab a pastry in the morning, and fresh fruit and sandwiches are available at 4:00 PM.
The beach is sandy with a gentle slope. A flag is displayed depending on the weather, and there's a net and a ball for beach volleyball.
The hotel's pool is quite large and clean, and next to it is a lounge area with swings, a bar, and sofas. There's also table tennis and a badminton net. If you go down to the first level, you'll find a sauna and hammam in the restrooms. The pool area can host theme parties—we attended one on February 14th (the entire area was decorated for the occasion, with music playing)—but you need to reserve a spot in advance for dinner in this area. We only strolled around the area and took a few photos.
There are also lounges with sofas and armchairs located around the perimeter of the building, just like in the lobby. I recommend you stay at this hotel!

Every visit is a pleasant experience. Every time we meet Mrs.Mery, she remembers us, she is smiling, always willing to help us with everything. Its always nice to see people who welcome us warmly. We always look forward to every next visit! Also, your other employees from all departments are always helpful and nice. Thank you for your hospitality!
Hotel is practically inside a big shopping mall so lots of shops restaurants and cafes around, the service is top notch, rooms are clean and spacious, overall I highly recommend Salalah Gardens Hotel!
Basic but clean spacious rooms . Odd ‘set up ‘ as reception and dining room is in separate building within a shopping complex . It involves walking across an outdoor plaza .
Breakfast was good .
However the real downside was the horrendous smell of greasy food from the air conditioning which never went away .
Good location, comfortable tidy room, kind staff, a wide variety of breakfast options. Shopping mall is nearby - very easy to buy anything.
Huge hotel, adjoining a mall which made it very convenient. Staff was excellent, breakfast buffet selection also amazing.
Salalah Gardens is a very comfortable hotel to stay in. The ambience is warm and friendly and it was good to see so many families and children in the hotel premises, visiting shopping areas and eating joints within the hotel precincts. Felt very homely
Great hotel with spectacular buffet - especially helpful Omnia at breakfast. Really lovely pool area and very close to mall
We booked a two-bedroom apartment for a three-night stay and were highly satisfied with the experience. The property was immaculate and well-maintained, featuring comfortable bedrooms, a generous living area, a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and oven, and a huge balcony at a very reasonable rate. There were no issues to report, and the apartment provided all essential amenities for a pleasant, comfortable stay. Breakfast selection was great, and our kids enjoyed the variety. Location is fantastic, besides the Salalah mall and China village mall, the right place for an evening stroll. If you're travelling with family, there is no need to think twice to book this hotel.
Ramesh provided us with excellent service throughout our stay. I can’t commend him enough for the exceptional hospitality given. He is an asset at the hotel. Made our stay pleasant and very accommodating to our a family as a whole. The hotel is clean & good for comfort. All our needs were met. We’ll be sure to comeback
We stayed at Salalah Garden Hotel for 13 nights and absolutely loved our experience. The hotel is in a perfect location — only about 15 minutes from Salalah Airport, and directly connected to a shopping mall with boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and even a cinema. The large open courtyard filled with coffee shops and eateries creates a relaxing atmosphere, especially in the evenings.
Service & Staff — Truly Exceptional
The staff at this hotel are simply wonderful. A special thank you to Shahadat (Rinko) for being the perfect host throughout our stay.
Big thanks as well to the fantastic teams in:
Flavours Restaurant — Melbin, Julie Ann, Verendra, and the entire team.
Annabi Restaurant — Sourabh, Chef Ahmed, Ghofran, Sachin and Mahendra.
We also appreciated the great service from Mohammed and Yasser, and our wonderful Housekeeping team, who kept everything spotless and comfortable.
Dining — Excellent Food & Beautifully Organised Themes
The evening themes at Annabi were a highlight — beautifully arranged, well organised, and consistently serving fantastic food. In our opinion, a hotel is only as good as its staff and its meals, and Salalah Garden Hotel excels at both.
Value
Ironically, we ended up here because Rotana Salalah cancelled our confirmed booking just two days before our arrival. Looking back, that was a blessing in disguise. We are convinced we had a much better stay at Salalah Garden Hotel than we ever would have had at Rotana.
Final Thoughts
Salalah Garden Hotel is a gem — a warm, welcoming place with excellent service, delicious food, and a location that’s ideal for both relaxation and convenience. We would definitely return if we come back to Salalah.
Highly recommended.
