Thank you for this experience
Elaf is very close to Haram just 3-4 mins walk to baab Abdul Azeez (door no 1 Abdul azeez door)
The hotel is a nice and clean hotel and was amazing for the price and location
Food as usual good , and courtesies staff
Staff very uncooperative and don’t want to help. Wold not recommend any one else
Excellent service
Good service and awesome management 👍
The staff don’t understand English, it’s ok but they have to let us know so we can use translation or ask someone to translate. They just shake the head ok and ok . That’s not acceptable
amazing customer service
Best to stay
Good:
location, very close to haram, just behind the clock tower
Bad:
ac in room wasnt working. Nobidy came to check after I complained.
Room smelled like smoke
Cheapest room doesnt get natural light as the window faces an internal dark space
I stayed here while I was in Makkah performing Ummrah. All the staff were very kind and respectful. The haram is literally a 5 minute walk, and anything you want to eat and drink is a 5 minute walk in any direction. You can hear the adhan from the Haram at the hotel.
Excellent
Bed is very hard to sleep on, overused bathroom.
Upon arriving our room was not ready when promised for check in..We waited over 1 hour in the lobby area. Room service cleaned my room one time in the 5 days I was there. We kept calling for towels, toilet paper, and other items. Front desk was not very friendly either. I give this place a very poor rating
The hotel is about 8 minutes walk from Harem close to Safwa mall
The only thing is the bathroom needs refurbishment as it's a bit old and smelly but rooms are clean
There toilets was very bad and smell too much it was very difficult to stay in the room so every time we was calling to clean but they put only parfum after few the smell coming again it was horrible
One of THE worst stay experiences I’ve had. I booked a 5night stay here for my Umrah trip and I don’t wish the experience the hotel provides on anyone. The rooms are run down, towels torn (yes they had holes in them), the bathroom smelled of open sewage, and on the first night, the bathroom from the next door overflowed into our room. Our room was flooded and when I asked what happened, the helper staff wanted us to hush because the room next door was occupied by a Saudi family. When I went to the front desk to discuss, there was a short, fat chick who literally rolled her eyes at me. They treat Saudi guests different than other immigrant guests; you can feel the racism in the way they address your queries v/s queries from Saudis. There is no response from room service, even after you place multiple requests for extra towels, and bottles of water (I counted 4 hours, and still no service). The hotel manager didn’t seem to care much either. It seemed like they somehow expected me to ok with the situation. The only good thing about this hotel, however, is the distance to the Haram. I ended up canceling the rest of my stay and shifted to the Fairmont. Elaf still ended up charging me for one day and there was no help from the hotel as we were checking out. They tried to make the refund process for the remaining nights as difficult as possible thinking that as an immigrant, I would just go along with the flow.
It could definitely be cleaner. It wasn’t very clean. Bathrooms weren’t clean. It’s need some refurbishment or refinement of carpet was really dirty with a lot of stains present. Very very stinky smell coming in the room as well.
Very friendly and nice staff, breakfast was also reasonably good
Hotel didn't give me queen room which I booked instead small twin bed room . The bathroom was awful, bad smell. After complaining they changed to family room. Had no hot water during my stay.
very good hotel
excellent location 5 min walk to holy Haram
very friendly and helpful staff
(many thanks to Rahma customer Service and Omar Reception )
