Stay not approved
The reservation was made and confirmed by Hotels.com and we were provided with a confirmation number. However, upon arrival, we were told that there were no rooms available because Expedia (linked to hotels.com) owed the hotel money so they weren't honoring any more reservations from them. Now we are just waiting for a refund from hotels.com It's not clear why this hotel accepts payments when they do not plan to honor the reservation.
The hotel is in quiet neighborhood, staffs are helpfull .
Taxi available on request. Bath facilities not that clean, but ok.

I stayed at a couple of hotels in Lagos. The daily rates were the same for these hotels and hence this review is more of a comparison w.r.t. the other hotels. Hope it helps and do ask for any queries !
Pros
1. Good response from room service.
2. Spacious rooms and bathrooms.
3. Good security
4. Walking distance to Mama Cass ( Restaurant) , Zenith Bank ATM, Shoppers Delight.
5. King Size Bed, Large wardrobe.
Top rated Cons
1. No buffet breakfast, complimentary breakfast is "skimpy", at least to me. Extra helpings are with additional cost. You ask for one pc of extra sausage, they ask 1000 Naira.
2. Very poor Wifi. Did not help after several complaints.
3. A make shift gym is provided which is actually smaller than the size of the bathroom. No proper ventilation. Even the use of a treadmill is a challenge as you will feel suffocated.
4. No garden or outdoor areas.
5. Lack of shower curtain, the bathroom floods after a shower
6. Accepts only "chip" type credit cards, they do not have a machine that can take the "swipe" type cards.
Understandably, Expedia has a hard time making payment to its hotels in Nigeria, I get that. I paid for my room with Expedia, and was subsequently harassed endlessly for doing so, with manager begging me to pay in cash and ask Expedia for a refund (which wasn't going to happen). It was extremely uncomfortable and consumed several hours of a very short business trip. Please don't make this mistake - make the reservation, and pay in cash - Nigeria just works that way. I have stayed in other hotels in Lagos where I paid online, and it turned out fine, but it's usually an hour long ordeal at check in for them to verify the payment. I've learned my lesson. Otherwise this hotel was very nice, well furnished, food was good, but wifi was almost unusably slow.
This hotel fulfils all the basic requirements for a business hotel. Doing business, you have a few basic requirements, such as a nice room, good service, entertainment area and meeting rooms. This hotel fulfils all requirements. They are conveniently located in Victoria Island, provide good quality rooms and service, the staff are very friendly and helpful and they are exceptionally well priced. The only complained I could have, was the noise levels late at night.
I was there for 3 days meeting and i found the place very nice and the staff very pleasant.
The manager is so nice and always available to help and give advice.
Food is ok be european and local dishes.
Highly recommend this venue for your trip in Nigeria in Victoria Island.
