Close to function facility that we were attending.
TV remote was missing, vanity tap required repair, glass window pane in bathroom missing, power point in bathroom coming away from wall - afraid to use it.
Excellent. MR ADAM was so supportive and a kind hearted person.
A few bugs in the room including beds. Needs pest control.
Great location
Location clean rooms comfy bed
The location is great and convenient.
The rooms were not very clean at all. We had a footprint on our sheets on the bed, the hand towel in the bathroom was dirty looked like it had been reused, cobwebs and dust. Couldn’t pull curtains all the way across the metal on them were falling off. No water in the fridge or milk for coffee never been to a motel that doesn’t provide these things. The beds are extremely uncomfortable.
Beautiful view of the ocean, so close to Alma Bay, transport and excellent food at the hotel next door.
Great patio for sharing with family members
Really needs new and more pillows and some way of contacting the management. We were there over New Year and people in next unit kept everyone awake till 4am and we had no way of getting in touch with management
Location and the rooms
All the night birds
I returned after a visit about a month ago, so obviously liked it very much! Please see my earlier review. Just want to add that the food at Arcadia Village Hotel next door was every bit as good as last time.
The room could do with sprucing up a bit.
Everything! All staff were extremely polite and friendly
**Steer clear if you value basic hospitality.**
Decided to head over to Magnetic Island on Friday evening and thought we’d try to stay at this establishment again, having had no issues in the past. First challenge: attempting to contact them. Apparently answering the phone requires Olympic-level effort, so after multiple failed attempts we booked online… which also failed. Off to a great start.
Upon arrival, instead of a welcome, we were treated to a lecture by the owner/manager/whatever title he prefers. He made it very clear that this is a *family business* and that answering phones outside business hours is simply beneath them. The attitude alone was enough to make us feel like we’d committed a crime by trying to give them money.
After that warm reception, he graciously allowed us a room key so we could drop our bags and go for a swim. When we entered the room, we were greeted by an unmistakable stench. Thinking fresh air might help, we opened the doors and left for the beach.
Shockingly, the smell was still there when we returned. We mentioned it to a cleaner nearby, who passed the message on. About half an hour later, the manager knocked, announced he couldn’t smell anything, and informed us that if we could be out in 20 minutes, he “wouldn’t charge us.” How generous.
All four of us apparently imagined the smell, because according to him, if he can’t smell it, it doesn’t exist. No attempt to fix the issue, no apology—just the door shutting behind him.
We’ve stayed here before without issue, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Thankfully, we found alternate accommodation where we were actually welcomed like paying guests.
Would not recommend this place to anyone—unless you enjoy poor standards, hostile management, and being treated like an inconvenience rather than a customer.

Location was good for bus stops, pool was beautiful looks and temperature wise, view of the beach across the rd.
Bed moved easily a lot and not comfortable, there was a spider in the corner of the shower with other dead insects, fridge wasn’t getting cold enough, towel rack was broken
