Hard to contact staff. No room cleaning etc. Reading lights not working, reported, no action. Poor pillows.

Beautiful location and good facilities.
Pros:

Fantastic location close to Alma and Geoffrey Bays, nearby bus stop to get around the island and lovely walk into town. Drinks and meals available at the adjacent hotel. We saw a blue winged kookaburra, curlews and an echidna.

Cons:

Neighbouring hotel rooms were frequent smokers resulting in cigarette smoke regularly wafting into our room.
We needed to sweep our room. The cleanliness was not terrible but not the best.

Unbeatable location for families visiting Magnetic Island
Pros:

Love the location of this place (a handy map of things to do on the island was also in our room). Walking distance to the rock wallabies, park, swimming beach, restaurant (home of the toad races) and little shops. View of Geoffrey bay and pool from the balcony is beautiful and the room had all the basics. Staff were friendly, communicated an issue with hot water upon arrival and had it promptly fixed before showers were needed. Pool and gardens well maintained and staff were present onsite.

Cons:

Minor maintenance issues but given the age of the property and pricepoint, this wasn't a major issue. We did experience some minor inconvenience with a poorly fitted toilet lid that would't stay up while seated, but we managed.

Idyllic and convenient location
Pros:

Arcadia is a great location for a family trip with the pub next door, a pool (and the pub’s pool!) and a great bakery and a cute RSL nearby. Do not miss seeing the rock wallabies!

Pros:

Location was great as straight across the road from the beach. Good facilities of which we did not use the pool however having the Arcadia Village Hotel right next door provided great food an entertainment.
