We visited Colonia for two nights from Buenos Aires with my wife. We went with the ferry and hotel is quite accessible.
Pros:

People at the reception and kitchen were super nice. They thought us how to prepare mate and allowed us to borrow their thermos for two days. Rooms, breakfast and location is just amazing.

Pros:

Localização próxima a cidade velha, atendimento dos funcionários fantástico e café da manhã muito bom.

Cons:

A cama é confortável mas um pouco barulhenta e o fato de não possuir elevador porém indicaria com certeza a pousada!

Jardineria, decoracion, ubicacion, desayuno. Todo muy cuidado, limpio y servido con mucha amabilidad. Muy recomendable.

Cons:

El unico detalle es que se siente el ruido de la habitacion de arriba, pero lo demas todo bien.

Eine zentrale und doch ruhige Lage, schnell ist man von der Fähre dort und weiter im historischen Viertel. Das Wasserbecken ist kein großer Pool, aber ausreichend für eine entspannte Abkühlung.
