Maxi Hotel & Spa

Property condition is poor. Facilities are unsafe. Swimming pool was broken without a filter for 4 days while they let guests swim in it. They are now ignoring messages from my travel company (2+ weeks so far) when trying to source a refund. Thieves with a filthy and broken hotel. Avoid.

I like how loud the fan was. The hotel is so close to the clubs that it’s very loud but because the hotel put in fans it drowns our most of the noise.

Thanks for the terrible service received... we never received the food due the incompetency of the waiters. A lot of time waiting for nothing! No apologies, nothing! Awful restaurant and service. Finally we had to go to other place to have dinner really late at night because of them. We were the only costumers, now we understand why!

I don't reccomend it to anyone. We were waiting for 2 hours for our dinner that never arrived. Finally they didnt even had started to cook. They didnt give us any explanation or apologies. Awful service!! Very disappointed with this place. Never again!!

We came accross this restaurant on our last night in Kuta. From the outside it looks clean and inviting... Staff took some time to come and see what we would like to order.. There was only 4 other tables of customers and 2 staff members serving with others behind the scenes in the kitchen.
We finally made our orders mine was Nasi goering, my husband ordered a sandwich & chips, his came first and I will left waiting for mine., When it finally arrived it was stone cold and very greasy, it had 2 chicken satay sticks with 2 very small pieces of chicken on each, this chicken was also stone cold and greasy. It was certainly not the portion size I was used to in Bali..As there was no staff around to help me, I returned my plate to the kitchen area and advised them of hte problem... Initally they had issues in understanding my problem but finally returned by plate to the ktichen and over 20 minutes later I was given my dinner. Meanwhile hubby had finished his and 2 large bintangs waiting fore me.. The prices here were not very reasonable either. Not somewhere we would go back to in a hurry..

Empty plates, classic ceasar salad tasted so bad I spit everything back in the plate. Pork ribs 300gr? Not even 50...and served with 3 potatoes wedges!!! What shame! Just a tourist trap. Cocktails just full of water...well avoid it

Older hotel but room was neat and clean. Very large room with all amenities including couch and coffee table. Only downside was it is directly opposite the nightclubs which blare loud music until about 3am. If youre out the back its not so much of an issue.

Be Warned: This hotel is right in the thick of Kuta’s party zone.

I’ve stayed at the Maxi Hotel on 3 different occasions for a total of 10+ days.

Considering the cost of the hotel (approx. $16-20 USD per night), it’s a really good value, especially for those looking to be near the late night action, which lasts until 5 AM and can be heard from rooms in the hotel.

The staff is incredibly friendly and will help you as best they can. Don’t be afraid to ask them for assistance and they’ll do their best to help. Nia, who works the front desk, is especially kind, professional, and helpful.

There are a whole variety of rooms but in general they are all quite spacious. The bathrooms in the rooms vary in design, with some having bath tubs with shower heads and others having showers. Cleansliness and functionality of the bathrooms can be an issue at times but, again, the staff is quite responsive to address any concerns.

The air conditioning units and bathrooms may be somewhat moldy depending on the room you end up with.

I’ve eaten at the restaurant several times and never had any issues or complaints. I thought the food was good and decently priced.

All in all, I’ve stayed in many budget hotels in Bali and the Maxi Hotel is pretty good value. If you’re a party goer, which is why I’ve stayed at the Maxi Hotel, it’s great value.

Visited this restaurant thinking it looks decent with their well kept restaurant from the outside.
Went in and ordered food and it wasn’t worth it at all, chicken was so dry and side salad was two tomatoes & one lettuce.
Steak didn’t even look like a steak wasn’t too pleasant looked very greasy and sloppy.
Half the drinks on the menu were out of order.
Staff recommended Long Island Iced tea even that Wasn’t proper, terrible even that didn’t taste good.
Lucky for us a stray hungry cat came by to our table at least he was fed the steak, positive note for the evening.

Group of 4 went in for a quick bite as the menu looked good.
Ordered a pizza and the rest ordered ribs.
Service was terrible. It took 40 mins for my pizza to come out. Pizza was burnt and bland. Ribs took another 20mins to come out and were below average.
Gross food and took too long for food. Do not reccomend.

We had lunch here i never thought that i would say this about Nasi Goreng but i have no idea what was served to us but it looked wrong it was a pinkish red in color and devoid of flavor I couldn’t eat it at all. I said i needed to go to the toilet and they were disgusting the floor was covered in urine as if someone had decided the floor was the best place to go the toilet itsel looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the hotel was built.

Go anywhere else!!!!!!!!!!!Worst service ever. No liquor in my drinks. They were out of everything. Took an hour to get our appetizer. There were only two tables on a Saturday night. Ready to chew my arm off like a coyote just to get out. The food kinda sucked too.

Location in from the principal pub and disco from kuta.
A bit far from beach, can consider rent a bike ; )

If you like party, exit the hotel and there is a lots disco, bars, restaurants etc.
If you want to sleep in the night or have kids, go elsewhere.

We visited this place for a quick bite while roaming around in Kuta. The staff was more interested in wooing more customers rather than serving us.
The pizza served to us was underdone and they took 30 mins more to rectify it.
Worst place during our amazing Bali trip

From the outside the Maxi Restaurant looked appealing and the menu look good....but this is where it stopped.

The service was very poor from start the finish.

We ordered our food and was waiting a while for it, one of our group was served their meal and the other 6 still waited and waited for the meals to arrive. Slowly the meals started arriving but one of our group waited more than 40min for their meal to arrive which ended up arriving after we asked about it. Our group had finished out luke warm meals way before the last meal arrived and all we got was "oh sorry".

The restaurant also had two cats roaming around the dining area, one the the cats was jumping on the tables after people had left to eat the scraps off the plates and the staff at the restaurant didn't do anything to shoo the cat away.

The meals were not even average, the seafood basket was very plain, not enough seafood and the taste was poor, all other meals were the same.

The restaurant does have good purtential but currently it does miss the mark.

Food was okay, had Nasi Camphur. Was a very genuine meal which was good and bad.
Forgot the entrees, but was cheap. Hit the spot for dinner, but probably wouldn’t return.
Not a bad place for people watching.

Located across from Bounty Disco so you have to listen to loud rubbish music, good menu until you try to order something and then they have sold out, warm beer and terrible service, when we went to leave we couldn't find any for our bill, we called out and waited over 5 minutes before anyone showed, if we were dishonest we could have walked out without paying, never again
