Location of the hotel is great. Easy walk to the Main Street and close to the lake. Nice coffee shop / bakery on site.
Older hotel, needs a make over. Thin walls, you can hear the neighbours. No access to heating the room, even though it’s summer there at the moment it’s still cold if you come from Qld, in the previous 10 hotels we stayed at we could pop the heater on just to take the chill off when needed. Having said all this, great location, but expensive for what you get.

The stairs and the shower
Was great being close to the main street so we could easily walk everywhere.
Room was good for what we needed.

Our stay was fine.
The ceiling in the shower was peeling. There was no air conditioning and our room was quite hot.

Perfect location, close to shops and restaurants. Restaurant attached.
Water pressure when running a bath was poor. Bed was not very comfortable. Had to use a cup to fill the kettle as the tap in the bathroom vanity was too low. No aircon, just heating.

The property and the room we got was exceptional. We were given the Royal Suite, our bedroom and sitting room opened up to the views of the Mountains and lake. Was a surreal experience! The room had everything - microwave, electric kettle, enough coffee/tea sachets, the toilet was quite big with a jacuzzi with enough towels and toiletries. The beds were spacious and quite comfortable, the pillows perfect. We requested for 2 fans which were promptly provided to us. The location was fabulous, bang in the town, 2 mins from the lake and restaurants. Definitely a great place to stay and will stay here again when I visit Wanaka in future.
Pls provide a door lock in the bathroom
Very nice hotel located in the heart of town. Our room had a view overlooking the lake so felt very private. Great location for walking into the shopping and dining area. We also liked the well-stocked shared kitchen area for guests, as we used it for making breakfast the following morning. It was convenient to have the mall grocery store directly across from the hotel.
After walking around town we ended up eating at Amigos Wanaka, attached to the hotel. The food was very good and the service was exceptional, despite being very busy.
The parking area was a bit confusing and clustered, as it shared with a pub next door. Access to the room with luggage did require a number of steps but was manageable.
There was a large group visiting when we were there and they were quite loud in the common lawn behind the hotel late at night. While that’s not the fault of the hotel, it’s something to consider if you have a room with a balcony overlooking it.
