Y2 Residence Hotel

We arrived at the hotel by taxi. The staff took our luggage to reception. We arrived at reception. There was a receptionist named "Mia," who was polite, smiling, and nice. She explained to us about the activities at the hotel. The room we got was stunning. A staff member took our luggage up to the room. It was a really fun experience. The hotel is beautiful. Well done.

We booked two rooms for our family and relatives. The rooms are spacious, though they look a bit old and could use some updating. We appreciated the kitchenette and microwave, which are convenient for long stays. The rooftop pool is quite small and tends to get crowded, but overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Clean room

Service in this place is no longer what it was once like. Security guards are not properly trained, rude and stopped my girlfriend. It is not our problem that many hookers frequent this place; regular guests should not be given such treatment/"welcome". Receptionist not understanding, just giving blabla, instead of simply saying: sir, we will address this with our security, thanks for letting me know. I stayed here around 15 times, the only positive development is that the breakfast is now better. But the service in the residences is worse than it ever was. Water in shower most of the time cold; much delay in cleaning the rooms (short term renters should have their room cleaned quickly, we are not in the hotel to wait hours for cleaning services). It is not our plan to fix your hotel for lack of service during our stay. Towels missing. How can you never have enough towels, and sometimes have delays in even bringing them to the rooms. There could be king size bed rooms, given the rooms are fairly big. Lack of water fountains, what is now common in most places around Makati. Training of receptionists and security is very poor, lacking any emotional intelligence. I won't stay in this place any longer. Finally, the wifi does not work properly. The pool is over the weekends crowded with kids that later then "flood" the elevators; the elevators are also super slow.

Good location with plenty of food options nearby. And pretty good value for the price.
Had 2 rooms. 1 was excellent. The other had a strange smell to it and the air cone and fridge was very noisy.

Don’t stay there if you come with your partner or spouse; they will always assume that the female person that is with you is a prostitute a needs to be checked and asked for ID when entering the building.
Honestly, it’s not our problem if that hotel has every day hookers - if we are staying there as a couple. It is unacceptable to the female partner to be given such treatment and „welcome“ -
Other than that: stayed her for the 15th or whatever time. Serious has enormously deteriorated over the years; rooms sometimes have not enough towels, cleaning or short term stayers is not done quickly enough, leaving you several hours to wait for room being cleaned. My advice would be to consider other places, so many new options in Makati and close to Makati. Breakfast is the only aspect that has improved; still very few options and not a real full buffet. But service at breakfast is now better than service of the hotel residences.

Hotel is overall nice and would consider staying there again in future as the rooms are clean and the hotel is secure. The area around the hotel is not the best to be walking around at night alone.

Y2 brands itself as a 3 star. Best to categorize as a 2 star. Booked the one bedroom. Interior decorator needs to be fired/replaced 😅 - what’s up with the anime character on the wall?!? Room needs a deep cleaning. Cleaning staff need additional training. For example, the soap dispensers need to be filled!
Facilities need repair. Example: gym air con was not working well, making a gym workout uncomfortable. Limited, old equipment.

Good points: The breakfast staff were wonderful! Chefs cooks well and is accommodating for special requests.

We had a great stay everyone was very friendly and helpful. We will book this hotel again.

My rating might come across more harsh than the reality of the stay, especially considering really reasonable cost.

Though few things like a lack of soap in the bathroom or empty shower gel bottle on the first day of stay surprised me. Also the water pressure in shower is really low, which is a nuisance.

The area around the hotel is currently seeing a lot of construction so that added to the noisyness and can`t be helped, though noise from rooms was also sometimes there.

The impact of these things can be levied if the reception made a notice of these issues to customers.

The wifi kept disconnecting.

As far as I can remember since 2017, there's a frying pan, a small casserole/ sauce pot and a big casserole included in the kitchen. However, in several recent times, there's only a frying pan. When I requested for the other 2, I was told they can only send in either the small pot or the big one. They will charge for the other pot (which I didn't avail of anyway).

I've been frequenty placed in Room 805, and to date, nothing's been done to fix the aircondition temperature. The remote displays 16, but the room feels warm, like it's on 20.

From the moment my son and I checked in for our two-week stay, we were thoroughly impressed with Hotel Y. The location is an absolute dream. Being able to walk to a mall, countless restaurants, and convenience stores made our trip so much easier. The area felt incredibly safe, allowing us to venture out for evening snacks and even enjoy live music nearby.

The staff at this hotel are simply amazing. Their kindness and willingness to help went far beyond what I’ve experienced at other hotels. They were always ready to offer directions and suggestions, and I even relied on them to help me find my way back to the hotel when I got turned around. Their support was truly a lifesaver.

Our room was pristine and had everything we needed, including a small kitchenette. We appreciated the diligent daily housekeeping service that kept our space feeling fresh and clean. Hotel Y offers a warm, welcoming experience that I would highly recommend to anyone, especially families looking for a safe and convenient base to explore the city.

My 4th time here. I had again a wonderful 1br suite called premiere. Large and fine with kitchen and 2 tvs. My best appreciation for all personnel, always kind and available. This year i even could get special promo 30% down. Very good. My personal suggestions: add 1 sheet to bed. Add small towels in bathroom. I enjoyed my stay there.

We stayed for at least 10 days. It was great!! It was pretty good service. They were accommodating. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which was located at the hotel that had amazing staff and good breakfast selection. It’s a very well managed restaurant.The only thing I can say there was some confusion with hotel billing but overall it was great. I would definitely come back to Y2 again.

Nice room , staff good communication but the A/C not working properly and too noisy.
