Great buffet. Friendly, helpful staff.
Parking a disaster. Guests should be warned. Management could surely negotiate parking (paid) with adjacent hotels. For this reason I won't be back.

Small apartment with spectacular views.
Really good breakfast for the cost - good selection overall and includes gluten free options.
Very good value for money
Facilities a little tired but acceptable for a 3 star hotel.
Apartments are not access friendly for people with mobility issues.
Not that easy to walk to the town centre and back from the hotel but taxis were available.
Reception lacks character but the views from the hotel make up for that.

Amazing location with great view. The food was excellent. Extra helpful and friendly staff that made our day every day.
Comfortable beds. Beautiful and clean pool. The room had everything you might need and the balconies had sunbeds and umbrellas. There is also a supermarket in the hotel area and pharmacy, bus stop and restaurants close by, in walking distance.
Even though there were cleaning materials in the room and the cleaning staff visited daily the room was not clean enough. A vacuum cleaner is needed as there was dirt in the corners of the room and chocolate crumbs on the couch when we checked in.
Be mindful that there are only 19 rooms available to book through booking and they are on the far left side of the building, farther away from the sea. The view is still beautiful however it's a bit more blocked than the pictures advertise. A positive is that they are on the restaurant's side of the building. All other rooms are only bookable through scandic travel agencies and there is no option to switch to those rooms on the side of the building with the "beter view" once you arrive.
The Spar shop & staff were friendly and helpful
Bed bugs, covered in bites, fan bathroom not working, room wasn't fully cleaned prior to arrival. under sofas and beds not cleaned. Room looked tired and dirty. Check in staff forgot to advise our room was ready yet we were sat at reception. Waiting staff not all but some totally disinterested in customers, sat for 15min whilst watching a gentleman waiter wander up & down, tried to get his attention but just ignored.

Det var väldigt hjälpsamma i receptionen. Fin pool, rum och utsikt.
Det var VÄLDIGT kallt på rummet. Maten var kall på frukost och middag, ledde till atten av oss blev matförgiftad… Det var duvor i köket. Dricka ingick inte till middagen..

De même super grande terrasse du restaurant ;piscines chauffées à 27 degrés;
Un peu de verdure à l’intérieur de l’hôtel au du qu’au pourtour des piscines
la propreté de l’appartement laissait à désirer:ménage très superficielle tant dans la chambre,le salon mais aussi dans la salle de bain ;
pour le resto :pas de la grande cuisine et pas trop de renouvellement des mets;

The location of the room, the ocean view, the heated pools and most of all FOOD. Oh my god, that completely exceeded our expectations! Big thanks to the head chef! Unfortunately, our food experience in various hotels in Gran Canaria was poor: similar food, low quality, poor protein/meat options, excessive use of awful vegetable oil. However at Altamar we were very pleasantly surprised by not only the available range of foods and meats, but by the quality of produce and the taste, which for once was great. If that terrible oil was used, it was not in the quantities we experienced. The server staff should be mentioned as well, who were very helpful and super efficient! So we are definitely coming back and are super grateful to everyone in Altamar Restaurant and back kitchen Thank you!
The only drawback we would mention is the cleanliness of the room and the overall cleaning service. It was not terrible, but leaves a bit more to desire. Whilst the bed linen and the towels were clean, the floors in the bathroom and in the room were not really. The daily cleaning apparently did not include the floor sweeping either, which would have been handy. The bathroom itself was not great, with shower doors not closing properly, the shower basin was leaking and the shower and hand gels having been thinned/diluted with water, especially the shower gel.
However for the 5 nights that we stayed there and with the "redemption" in the restaurant and with idyllic ocean views from the bedroom, we could live with the above easily :-)
