Was in DC for a business trip to the capital. The Hyatt is located in an area that was good access to many amenities and offices in DC. Check-in was easy and they provided great communication before I arrived. The room was spacious and clean with good amenities including tea/coffee maker and small refrigerator in the room. The roof top bar did not seem to be open when I was there but it was early in the week and they may be open other days. The buffet breakfast had plenty of options. Price was reasonable for DC and I slept well in their bed. Noise did not seem to be a problem (there is urban noise but nothing that bothered me). The staff was friendly and helpful.
the view from the room of the church a few blocks away was nice to see in the evening and early morning. the rooms were definitely nice and quiet, and the room amenities were very convenient.
the water is very drying, but i know that's not the fault of the hotel. if anything it really helped that hand/body lotion was provided in the bathroom.
Excelente acomodação, conforto, higiene, localização, amei a cidade.
De tudo, gostei do hotel, da acomodação e amei a cidade de Washington D.C.
Comfortable room setting. Very accommodating for a family visit. Good breakfast.
Had an issue with the showers, as went to take a shower at 11PM, there was no hot water. I let it run turned all the way hot for 3-4 minutes trying to see if it would get hot and it never did. Luckily in the AM the hot water was working.
The customer service at this Hyatt is top notch. The staff have consistently gone above and beyond to make the guests feel welcome and have a positive experience. At one stay, I arrived earlier than usual for the normal check-in. The manager informed me that they would promptly get a room ready for me, and that in the meantime, I could grab some breakfast while waiting. The breakfast bar had excellent hot food such as eggs, potatoes, sausages, as well as a pot of hot oatmeal with several good toppings, fresh mixed fruit, yogurt, bagels, bread and several other choices. For drinks, juices, milk, oat milk, hot coffee and tea. The room was ready after I finished breakfast. The room was new, clean, modern and comfortable. The gym has a peloton, treadmills, a weight machine, free weights and other items that I don’t recall —with windows and a second-floor view of the street. The location is very convenient and safe. There are excellent restaurants across the street and also within a block or so. Getting rideshare is easy and plentiful. Note that the lobby is on the second floor. So when entering, either take the elevator to the second floor or walk up the stairs. I did not have a car to park so I can’t comment on that. Breakfast opens at 6:30 am, and the staff at breakfast are kind and professional. Overall, I have really liked my experience here; this Hyatt has become my favorite in town. I have been very impressed with their customer service and all that this hotel offers.
The room was spacious, well laid out, better than I had anticipated, and very quiet. The hotel was also well taken care of with good amenities and a great staff. The location was perfect for the convention center as well as to DC in general. The room was an excellent value and I would happily stay here again!
Excellent facility. Room was spacious and amenities which included a coffee maker, refrigerator, and a microwave. It also included (2) 50" Flat Screen TV. The complimentary breakfast was complete. Excellent! The only thing, i was placed on the fourth floor, during the evenings, a roof top restaurant and bar was to noisy! However, if was affordable compared to other hotels.
A lovely hotel! Was greeted warmly at the front desk by Eric, and our 2 day stay was excellent! We did not eat at the hotel, so cannot vouch for the food but, it is clean and comfortable.
Here for a convention..booked for proximity convenience..wonderful recent renovation of hotel...clean...comfortable delicious mattress! ..Realm is their lovely rooftop bar! Staff couldnt be nicer and more accomodating! Ava just a sweetheart to sit us middle-agers hot off a plane, in a nice quiet spot...cocktails great..happy hours and small plates delish....Nando, our server, a top notch gentleman with Italian flair and kind attentive service. Kitty, so nice to check on us as we sipped and simmered. Ohh do book a stay!
I had an outstanding experience at Hyatt House Washington, DC, and a big part of that was thanks to Anna, the server/bartender. From the moment I sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm in a way that made me feel right at home.
Anna went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect—great recommendations, timely service, and a positive energy that truly elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to come across someone who not only does their job well but also creates a memorable atmosphere for guests.
Anna and the rest of the staff absolutely made my stay feel more special and, honestly, a bit magical. I’ll definitely be back because of the experience they helped create.
Anna was such a great host at the hotel restaurant and bar. She was warm, attentive, and helpful the nights I dined at the restaurant.
We stayed at Hyatt House Washington DC / Downtown / Convention Center on February 20, 2026 while in town for Coastal at the Capital — our first time ever in DC. We were already completely overwhelmed navigating a new city, competition schedules, and everything that comes with a big cheer weekend. From the moment we walked in, this hotel became our calm in the middle of the chaos. The rooms were spotless, fully stocked, and had every extra we could possibly need. Even when we had to move rooms mid-stay, it was handled smoothly and without stress. We never felt like an inconvenience — we felt genuinely cared for.
Then DC decided to throw in bad weather — snow and heavy wind — just to keep things interesting. We were concerned about getting stuck in the city, and Elbe stepped in immediately. She helped us navigate checking out sooner than originally planned so we could get on the road safely before conditions worsened. That level of attentiveness and urgency meant everything to us. Oz made sure our daughter got her waffles (her absolute must-have breakfast on competition days), and that small act made a big difference in keeping her routine steady. And Eric — a fellow cheer dad — jumped right into all the cheer talk with us like we’d known him for years. When you’re far from home and already overwhelmed, those connections matter more than people realize.
We travel often for competitions, and this was hands down our best hotel experience yet. The staff didn’t just provide service — they created comfort, stability, and warmth during a high-energy, high-stress weekend. When we come back to DC, we will DEFINITELY be staying at what now feels like our second home.

The hotel overall was really nice. Clean and contemporary. The breakfast was decent too. We were very confused about the parking situation and use of elevators from parking garage to hotel. Took awhile to figure it out.
The room was a nice size- stayed in a king kitchenette with pull out sofa. The sofa was only a chair which had the worse mattress ever- you could feel every spring! No ome wantwd to sleep on it but we had 3 in our family- so we were forced. In the bathroom the shower has an open door concept which i didn't care for, and there were no washcloths- only hand towels. The 2 trash cans are super small, so trash fills up quickly. We used the kitchenette to reheat our food and stored drinks in the frig- but didn't cook on the little stove.
Overall would book again- but would not use the pull out and would bring my own wash cloths.
In town for work and Anna made my stay very special by being attentive and entertaining! Love her energy and personality. Definitely will come back again!
I stayed at Hyatt House Washington DC Downtown Convention Center with my friend to celebrate my birthday, and I honestly had such a great experience because of Elbe.
She went above and beyond to make my birthday special. Elbe did most of the decorations herself, responded very quickly whenever we needed anything, and genuinely did her best to make sure everything went smoothly and that we had the best experience possible. Her service truly exceeded my expectations.
Because of her effort and kindness, my birthday turned out amazing. I will definitely be coming back because of Elbe. She made the stay memorable and is a huge reason I would recommend this hotel to others. I loved every second of my stay!
Up here for work and had a consistent and great experience, Elbe and Lashee worked consistently and constantly and were extremely helpful whenever I needed things copied or printed, which was quite a bit. Room was amazing, and the staff was more amazing! Location worked great as well, Giant grocery store to do home cooking and several restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Location is OK, but need drive to main touristic sites. Not all bookings include parking, and it will cost you almost $ 70.00 per night ( valet) , street parking in around area is extremely hard to find . Free breakfast was good , coffee was Really good :) We had 1 king room and it was smaller than expected . Bathroom was really clean, but it as taking up to 10 mins to wait for water to get hot, then it was hot and changing to cold again . And again you have to wait for temperature to rise.
My stay at Hyatt House Washington, D.C. Convention Center was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The hotel was exceptionally clean, modern, and well-maintained you can immediately tell they take pride in their property.
What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and their positive attitude made the stay even more enjoyable.
The location is fantastic, especially if you’re visiting the Convention Center or exploring D.C. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax after a long day.
If you’re looking for a place that combines cleanliness, comfort, and incredible service, this is it. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Washington, D.C.
Eric at the front desk was wonderful and Anna is the best bartender and DJ! Loved the service and attention to detail. They made a busy work trip a relaxing experience.
