Embarrassing scene over a brief visitor

Cons:

I returned from the beach with a friend and only wanted to take a quick shower while my friend waited in the room for about 20 minutes. I always book a room for two people even when traveling alone to avoid any issues with short visits like this.
However, when we passed reception, the receptionist immediately stopped my friend and demanded their passport. I tried to explain that I had just come from the beach, was covered in sand, and asked if I could quickly shower and return with the passport. Instead, the staff member insisted on it immediately and even followed after me in reception while demanding it, which created an unnecessary and embarrassing scene.
After that, it took roughly 15 minutes to “check in” my friend as if they were staying overnight, even though I repeatedly explained they were only visiting briefly.
What made the situation even more confusing was that later in the evening I observed many other MALE guests bringing Female thai visitors through reception without the same strict process and very clear purposes.
Overall, the experience felt unnecessarily confrontational and inconsistent. A simple 20-minute visit turned into an uncomfortable and time-consuming situation that could have been handled in a far more reasonable way. Based on what I observed afterward, this did not appear to be a consistently enforced hotel policy but rather a one-off situation that unfortunately made the interaction feel unnecessarily targeted.

Die Lage ist direkt am Strand. Trotz, dass die Umgebung sehr laut ist hört man im Hotelbereich nichts.

Comfortable beds and spacious room.

Cons:

The rooms are located in an outdoor corridor and there is noise from the surroundings. We were awaken by loud music playing at 07.00am from people outside on the back street.
The sunbeds are located under a circular roof bar and sun is available only a couple of hours during the day.

Las habitaciones y en general el personal del desayuno, de limpieza y parte del lobby. Tienen un desayuno variado y con buen sabor.

Lastimosamente la bienvenida, que es la primera impresión, no fue la mejor ya que Letty quien nos recibió no fue muy atenta realmente no nos dió la información completa sobre las instalaciones y su actitud es un poco ruda. No se puede generalizar ya que el resto de personal fue muy atento.
Otro punto es la demora en el servicio de limpieza de la habitación ya que eran las 2 de la tarde y aún no aseaban la habitación y nosotros salimos a las 11 y dejamos el aviso de limpieza. Pero lo hacen muy bien.
