The Wi-Fi needs updating
Our room, dinner in the evening and the wonderful views of Dartmoor from the terrace and restaurant.
The breakfast was completely chaotic and disorganised. A completely different team to the professional staff who served in the evening. 5 tables of guests to be served, 5 members of staff and chaos. The cooked breakfast didn't appear until at least 35 minutes after we had sat down. For some reason it was decided that my partner had asked for a gluten free breakfast (he hadn't!) so further delay while missing items were brought. Despite many great bakeries in the area the toast was a processed sliced loaf (supermarket style) and we were offered the 2 crusts at each end of the loaf in our toast rack! My scrambled egg was over salted. Shame really after and excellent meal the night before.
Great views and location, the en-suite in our room was a little on the small size. Everything was clean, staff were friendly, evening meal and breakfast were good.

I loved my room, very clean and fantastic view of the Devon countryside . The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Dinner was delicious.
Not having any Wifi in my bedroom…. I heard other guests saying the same. I needed this for work… so I needed privacy. I so loved this hotel but I would have loved to return but not having internet is a problem.
It is in an amazing place and the property was very well maintained and stunning.
The views were beautiful
No WiFi in the bedroom which was not advertised before booking as we would not of stayed here.
The bed was very uncomfortable, 2 single pushed together which kept separating and very tired mattress which was so uncomfortable.
Because we had 2 dogs we were put in a “dog friendly room” which was tired and basic, compared to the standard of the other rooms.

The place was magnificent.
We also had dinner. The food was excellent.
We had booked two rooms. It was quite expensive but seemed good value for our money
After we left we had a phone call telling us that a shampoo and a soap bottle were missing and that we had to pay for them. We did not take them. They were probably missing when we arrived but that is the policy of the establishment to accuse your guests of stealing soap! Found that quite petty and was clearly disappointed because our stay was very good.
