Comfortable and easy access , no vegan breakfast options and staff attitude was questionable.
Pros:

The reception staff were really helpful. All went smoothly and great that is has a 24 hour reception.Room was very comfortable and we slept well even though we were close to nigh clubs it was very quiet.
The breakfast menu seems luxury however when we mentioned we were vegan the staff member seemed put out (huffing, sighing and rolling eyes) she asked if we ate eggs??? Then proceeded to say we could have the Mondo breakfast without eggs, sausage, bacon etc.
As our life choices seemed to be too much for the staff member we opted take dry toast and beans, so not so luxury at all.
I accept that catering for vegans may be outwith the norm, but this is a hospitality hotel / restaurant that has a lovely separate vegan menu for lunch and dinner. It wouldn't take a lot to add this to the breakfast menu.
The staff attitude however is something that really needs t be addressed. We should have not been made to feel that we we a nuisance because of what we choose to eat or not eat. If this was a religious choice would the attitude be different?

We will be visiting again as have family there but because of the staff attitude at breakfast we will think twice about booking, which is such a shame.
Hospitality staff should be just that, this staff member was not nor were they professional.

Great value budget hotel
Pros:

I was in the area to watch local football team Albion Rovers Fc and chose this hotel as was only 1/2 a mile away from the ground (just my luck however that the match was called off due to poor weather!!)
I missed the hotel at first when following sat nav but turned around and found the car park on the upper level ( not sure how to get to lower level)
The hotel is great. Friendly welcome from reception (entrance isn’t on main st as that’s the mondo restaurant but done a few steps to the side is where the hotel entrance is.
Room was clean and comfy bed ! I was on the 3rd floor and like other reviews have stated, there is a nightclub nearby but I wasn’t disturbed by it all and I’m a light sleeper !!
En-suite clean and decent walk in shower.
Tea/coffee and kettle (found inside the wardrobe) was fine.
I booked direct with the hotel so got breakfast as part of the stay. You can help yourself to coffee from flasks which was fine.
Breakfast wasn’t buffet but service from a waitress who was really pleasant. Food was a little on the small side tbh (one sausage, one bacon served on toast) but I’m on a diet so no probs lol! It did say on the menu for extra items there would be an extra charge so I didn’t bother.

I would stay again and thank you for a pleasant stay at an affordable rate

Pros:

The staff - particularly the evening clerk who checked me in was a pure delight. The pillows are very flat. The hotel is nice, but on first arrival felt a little sketchy. There are a couple restaurants in the area, but they weren't good. It's convenient to the rail station so easy to take side trips.

Pros:

Food was excellent. Upgraded shower room was lovely but I prefer a cake of soap and not liquid soap. Door hook for towels was loose as missing a grub screw (Room 311).

If it wasn’t for the good food and lovely staff I would say Avoid
Pros:

Location was great. Staff were so friendly and pleasant, really nice receptionist was super lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, really nice coffee food was super, staff again lovely.
The room itself decoration a bit tired and in need of a thorough clean the coffee machine was dirty where you open and pop in caps and generally the carpet required a thorough clean around edges, as there was a build up of edge dust. The decorational throw at the bottom of the bed was in need of an iron.
The shower is where it was really bad, there is a build up of mould in corners and and along seals where tray joins tiles, and just needs a thorough clean with a corner bristle brush it was disgusting to be honest.

Misleading
Pros:

The bedrooms in the hotel were good quality but I booked because it says there is a bar and lounge area and there isn't, you can only get a drink in the restaurant and only if you are eating. This needs to be addressed as it is misleading and I wouldn't stay again because of this.

Great hotel unfortunately right next to a busy roundabout, so had traffic noise early in the morning, but staff and facilities are excellent.

Nothing is ever a problem - Great hotel
Pros:

Regular staying here on business,
Always clean and comfortable.
I tend to travel solo and its reassuring that the restaurant is accessible through the hotel without having to go out so everything is there that you need.
Easy and parking, even better now the EV stations are fitted.
Shout out to Toni Marie - so helpful, nothing is ever a problem - THANK YOU !

Once found - it was great!
Pros:

Great night’s stay in Mondo. Difficulty with finding how to drive to the lower ground car park but once parked we entered hotel and had good service. Room was great and comfortable bed. We were on top floor so didn’t hear much noise at all. Luckily we had booked restaurant prior to staying as it was fully booked. Food very good. We went with friends but Sadly there was no bar or lounge to go to so we all had to go back to our bedrooms early. Breakfast choice very good but again busy. We visited the summerlees outdoor museum which was 10 minute walk from hotel. The museum was well worth going to and was free!! Would stay again.
