The staff was excellent. The room was perfect. Breakfast was awesome. Among our best trips. I highly recommend to anyone.
It was good bt there was dirty towels. In the bed it wasn’t clean. Breakfast was good as always
Loved the room - nice and roomy. Comfy beds and welcoming staff. A nightlight in the bathroom would be nice. The covered parking was a plus!
We booked the room the day before we arrived, and we were pleasantly surprised by the close proximity to the town Square and they offered a nice full breakfast in the morning. The room accommodations were nice and quiet and plenty of room to meander in the room and it was a good stay.
Visited with family on a last-minute trip. Overall, a solid stay and good value, with a few quirks.
Location: Decent but feels a bit isolated. Very close to Sensorio, which is a big plus. Downtown Paso Robles is only a few minutes away, but you do miss the walkable “vibe.” I paid extra for a room that included breakfast—still unclear if that’s a real add-on or just a pricing gimmick, since breakfast doesn’t feel truly “included.”
Atmosphere: Cozy, inviting, and festive. The property is very neat and well-kept, but both the hotel and rooms feel dated compared to newer, more modern options.
Rooms: Very spacious for a family. We had two queens plus a sofa bed. Note: the “queen” beds are actually full beds, and the sofa bed ended up being the true queen. Fresh linens were missing for the sofa bed, so we had to manage using duvets with worn covers—this was the biggest miss.
Value: Strong value overall. Booking through Expedia got us a noticeably better price.
Cleanliness: Surprisingly clean throughout—no complaints here.
Noise level: Very quiet and serene.
Service: No major issues. Front desk was fine, though we had to wait while the agent finished a phone call. Also had to provide my credit card again at check-in despite completing online check-in, which felt redundant.
Amenities:
Free parking
Breakfast was okay
Free coffee/tea in the lobby
Self-serve laundry
Access to fitness center
Pool (appears closed in winter)
Ample parking and many EV charging spots (didn’t try charging)
Free Wi-Fi
Room included two TVs, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker
Spacious bathroom with standard toiletries (shower cap missing)
Bottom line: Comfortable, quiet, and good value—especially for families or a quick Sensorio visit. Loses a point for dated interiors and small execution gaps, but I’d stay again if the price is right.
Very pleasant experience at the Oaks. Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable, parking a breeze and the staff are veryfriendly and welcoming. The hotel is 5 minutes from downtown.
Easy access off the freeway, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast buffet. I recommend changing the shower head that sprays a narrower spray. It has a wide spray and actually got the floor wet. And maybe change the sink faucet sprayer to a narrower running waterfall rather than it shooting out a like an umbrella. More lightning in the
Bathroom is my wife's suggestion thank you.
A three-story hotel with covered parking spaces in the front and back. There are also uncovered parking spaces. Located behind a McDonald's on a dead-end street. Easy access to gas stations like Chevron, and right off the 101 South. Very well kept and clean. The front desk staff is helpful. I didn’t get to try the breakfast because I had to get to work by 6:30 am. I stayed there from Thursday through Sunday. There’s a swimming pool, but it’s too cold out now in December. The room is well furnished and well lit. They give you a bathrobe, hair dryer, and makeup remover towelettes. They use their own line of liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Very comfortable king-size bed. I would stay again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the light bulb above the shower is out. One of the two washcloths has holes.
We had a great stay! The room was very clean and comfortable (comfy bed, quiet room, good location) and the breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of choices. Customer service was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Parking lot was spacious. We would definitely come back!
Well located to where we needed to go to be with family at Thanksgiving. Easy access, plenty of parking, a decent breakfast with a nice gentleman, Jim, who was host at breakfast room. A bar on site and comfortable beds and very clean.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable accommodations. Glad they offer a complimentary hot breakfast and have a lobby bar. Prices change often so wait for the best price. Our rate was $125 plus taxes.
We love this hotel. Hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable with a couch and all the amenities. Coffee, tea, and cookies are available 24/7 plus a delicious hot breakfast is included!
No EV charging but it was reserved as part of our reservation when booking online. This caused great inconvenience and stress.
Requested accessible room with two queens. The room stunk. Manager changed us to a king room. Bed was poor quality and smaller than our king at home. Bedding is dated poor quality sheets and blanket. Toilet difficult to flush. Constant noise in wall behind shower. Shower so powerful and such a wide spray, it wafted past the curtain onto floor nearly causing a slip and fall. We have stayed at The Oaks about ten times through the years. It has gone downhill. We won't be back
Clean room and great breakfast. Our sofa bed was used but we could have asked for a rollaway instead. Great stay and every one was friendly
I stay here every time I stay in Paso Robles. The rooms are large and clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is included and a good start to the day.
Everything was great. Wife was looking forward to a magnifying mirror, and sink drained slowly, but we would definitely stay again. It's a convenient location & staff is helpful
Convenient location, quiet area, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed and room and the wonderful weatherly didn’t hurt! Lots to do in town too with wonderful restaurants.
Excellent
The handicapped spaces were too few. Just two at the location. Your supposed snack/gift shop left a lot too be desired. Did not use either the pool or the hot tub. Your breakfast was barely edible the entree dishes were cold and your selection poor. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Convenient location in Paso Robles. Room was very quiet at night. Hotel is very clean. Full breakfast is good.
