Lage gut, Essen mittelmäßig
Pros:

Wir kamen um Mitternacht an und bekamen unsere Suite, welche wirklich sehr geräumig war. Außerdem gab es eine Küche darin, welche wir nicht nutzten und ein Balkon mit Sicht auf den Pool.
Die Lage ist toll. In 10 Gehminuten ist man unten in der Innenstadt, bzw. 10 Minuten in die andere Richtung liegen die anderen Muthu Hotels mit ihren Restaurants. Zudem liegt dort auch die Partymeile, die sehr an den Ballermann erinnert.

Man kann zum Abendessen das normale Buffet des Hotels nutzen oder in einem der vielzähligen Restaurants a lá Carte essen. Diese Restaurants befinden sich nicht in dem Hotel, aber in anderen Hotels der Kette, welche in der Regel10 - 15 Gehminuten entfernt sind. Das Hotel bietet aber einen kostenlosen Shuttle an, welchen wir nicht genutzt haben.
Am zweiten Abend waren wir im Grill, einem Restaurant, bei dem Huhn, Schwein und Rind gegrillt wird. Auf den ersten Blick war es seltsam, dass man nichts aussuchen konnte, da man einen kompletten Grillteller mit allem bekommt. Aber es stellte sich heraus, dass alles dabei ist und keine Wünsche offenblieben. Der Service war hervorragend. Also alles in allem sehr gut.

Cons:

Das Klappsofa ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und man spürt jede Feder.
Insgesamt merkt man, dass die Einrichtung schon viele Jahre in Benutzung ist.
Das Frühstück und das Mittagessen waren mittelmäßig.

Am ersten Abend waren wir im Il Terrazzo, einem italienischen Restaurant, welches ein Desaster war. Wir orderten beispielsweise eine Cola Zero, konnten sehen, wie der Kellner eine herkömmliche Cola zapfte und servierte. Auf Nachfrage bestand er darauf, dass es eine Cola Zero war.
Der Kellner kam zweimal um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, da er es anscheinend beim ersten Mal nicht verstanden hatte. Grundsätzlich war die Kommunikation schwierig, da er gebrochen englisch und portugiesisch sprach.
Das Essen war nicht sonderlich schmackhaft. Eine einfache Anfrage eine bestimmte Nudelsorte mit einer Bolognesesauce (Bolognese gab es bei einem anderen Gericht) zu versehen, war nicht möglich. Beim Herausgehen sahen wir einige Tische mit halbvollen Tellern.

Ich muss mich da leider vielen Vorrednern anschließen. Das Hotel ist weit weg von einem 5-Sterne Hotel im mitteleuropäischen Maßstab.

Grand muthu forte do vale late April 2026
Pros:

Clean hotel, good choice of food and drinks including the free shuttle to use other hotels restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff couldn't do enough for you. I liked that it was quiet and not close to the strip but only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Tourist train stops directly opposite the hotel which is great for getting to old town

A infraestrutura do hotel, a limpeza e a rapidez em resolver pequenos inconvenientes da equipa.

Cons:

Gostamos de tudo, mas sugerimos que o ginásio e piscina interna abram mais cedo, principalmente o ginásio, pois quem se exercita, geralmente, o faz antes do pequeno almoço.

Great a la carte restaurants
Pros:

Friendly staff, buffet was good. I loved that we could visit all 5 hotels in the chain, and that we could book an a la carte restaurant each evening. The Mexican & Italian restaurants were very nice.

Cons:

The hotel is quite old fashioned & run down. I wouldn't describe it as a 5 star, maybe high 3 or low 4 star. The pool beds were very basic for a 5 star hotel.

Pros:

Un apartamento era cómodo y bastante grande, la relación calidad/precio...Teníamos acceso al spa incluido en el precio de nuestra estancia, y cuando dejamos el apartamento nos permitieron estar en las piscinas el tiempo que quisiéramos.
Los recepcionistas y personal muy amable y servicial.

Cons:

Algunas instalaciones del spa estaban cerradas al uso, y la comunicación con respecto al idioma en ocasiones era difícil.
