The room was simply just stunning: waking up to a ceiling covered by affrescos, in a naturally fresh and well-ventilated room, located smack in the middle of downtown Mantova..the room and area is also incredibly quiet, and the residence has a gorgeous courtyard, with a lovely garden and even a "nespole" fruit tree!
We were welcomed by the incredibly kind owner, who showed us around and even allowed us to check out super late, so we had a chance to add an extra lunch to our holiday here. Just a dream!
Nothing, everything was perfect and even beyond expectations.
Atmospheric, old style building aiming to provide authentic italian experience. If you like decorated rooms, this can be your place.
Wi-fi connection needs to be stabilized.
Authentic old building, conveniently located for visiting the city centre
The ancient bathroom and kitchen, and the noise from guests in adjacent rooms. Overpriced for somewhere so basic.
Great location in a beautiful old villa. Just few minutes walk from St. Andrea.
Very nice and friendly host Nicole.
Parking in a closed square behind the door.
All the best from us.
Large room, old wooden ceiling, wooden floor, antique furniture, great location and parking included. Lots of atmosphere. It has the potential to be a lovely historic stay. Attention to detail could make all the difference.
The IKEA furniture mixed with the old - made it seem as if the property couldn't decide if it was budget or historic, which gave a shabby effect. The price certainly wasn't budget. The air conditioning had seen better days and limped on through our stay, regularly turning itself off. A few touches would have made all the difference such as washing up liquid, pan scruber, and soap in the bathroom. A small pan or kettle would have been useful along with the big pan. The shower could do with a good scrub with bleach. Why are there no mats to protect the lovely furniture? It's a good place, just felt like an opportunity missed to be even better. We were on the ground floor. The windows on the top looked tiny so can sympathise with the people who have stayed up there. Hope they paid less.
