Pros:

Good location and welcoming staff.The on site restaurant,which was Italian was really good,tasty and great value.

Cons:

The room was a bit small ,just for places to put cases ,but for one night it was fine,as the bed was comfortable and the room darkened well..

Excellent short break, Berwick is charming (especially the quaint parking disks)

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice restaurant.

Cons:

Room and bathroom floors were on a serious tilt and sloping floor in bedroom and bathroom made you feel drunk if you tried to visit the bathroom during the night.
Poor view from bedroom and large vent fan outside bedroom window made the room smell of cooking food if bedroom window was opened. When returning I would try to avoid that room because otherwise the hotel was very good

Lovely stay at Berwick upon Tweed
Pros:

Lovely little gem of a hotel. Clean, newly decorated and our room was great. Comfortable bed, mugs for drinking which I loved instead of little cups and friendly staff. Decor was lovely and everything spot on

Great location, friendly staff and an amazing breakfast
Pros:

We’ve stayed here many times on our trips north, it’s a great location in the middle of the town, clean comfortable rooms, and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was cooked just for us and was delicious

Good hotel, great location for historic sights and restaurants but be prepared for late night noise outside.
Pros:

Great location in central Berwick…which a must see historic town. Very spacious and comfortable room….stylish public spaces. We had a good lunch in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good.

Cons:

Staffing is sparse and you have to go searching for staff at times. The hotel is on a Main Street and we were there on a Saturday and the town was very rowdy so we had a lot of disturbance outside our room until 1am. Nothing the hotel can do about that so only info for other customers. Perhaps request a room at the back?

Enjoyed my stay the staff were lovely and the breakfast was great only problem was the seagulls

Great hotel fantastic breakfast lovely staff great location

Cons:

Couldn't use the lift one time Dirty laundry left in it ,could do with double glazed windows the seagulls were very noisy at night and you couldn't get a good night's sleep

Disappointing and hotel uninterested in providing honest customer service
Pros:

The photographs of the superior room we booked were fantastic and display a beautiful ceiling within the room. However this is not the room we were provided with. We were told the room we had been given was a superior room in the honeymoon suite but we later discovered that we had been given one of four rooms in the hotel that were awaiting refurbishment.

Cons:

On leaving the hotel the receptionist apologised for the fact that we had been downgraded to a standard room, despite having been told the night before that the room we were given was a superior one . Once we had checked out we received an email from Booking.com to confirm our room name had been changed from superior to standard. BE VERY WARY WHEN BOOKING THIS HOTEL THAT THE ROOM YOU BOOK IS THE ROOM YOU RECEIVE. In addition we were unable to sleep all night due to a loud clicking noise on the landing outside our door which repeated every two minutes which reception were aware off and still let the room despite knowing this. Finally any attempt to have a bath was restricted by the fact the bath would not hold water due to a faulty plug hole.

A very good location for the main attractions: historic walls, harbour, Bridge Street, galleries.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, though my fried egg had uncooked white, but that wAs promptly resolved. Excellent evening meal in the Amore restaurant.

Cons:

They couldn't replace my duvet with a sheet and blanket so I was too hot and had to use the bath towel as a covering! I failed to spot the hidden shower instructions which were beneath other things I didn't need in the bedroom, and I couldn't make it work.
