Great stay
Pros:

Friendly staff, very clean, comfy bed, very good breakfast included, nice bar overlooking old bank floor, free daily glass of wine, good location, front entrance not obvious.

I will definitely be back for an R&R stay as it's a beautiful hotel in a great area of the city
Pros:

The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, and I loved that the hotel checked in on pillow preference before you arrived. The guest area was a great place to sit and people watch, and enjoy the beautiful building.

Cons:

The room was quite late on being ready. I had requested to check in about an hour early as I had quite a bit of work to get done in the afternoon, so a little frustrating to then not get access to the room until 4pm.

The location, service and amenities were, overall, excellent.
Pros:

The breakfast was superb. That we could enjoy a relaxing cup of tea and biscuits at any time of the day was a bonus. The staff were excellent, in particular James was affable and well informed.

Cons:

As we're that little bit older, we found the shower over the bath a little precarious to navigate, especially as there was no safety/handrail. We would very much prefer a walk in shower.

Pros:

Breakfast and lounge were good. Clean. Kitchen, washer/dryer perfect for families.

Cons:

No stove and dishwasher. Samsung washer cum dryer is not ideal. Too much lint stuck in the Samsung machine. Should come with separate washer and dryer.

Our Best Hotel Experience
Pros:

Our best hotel experience in years, and we've stayed in quite a few around the world. Love this place! Great location, comfy and so many amenities we love, including Nespresso, kitchen (large Refrigerator, microwave, stove), and even a washer/dryer, all in the spacious room! The TV allows easy access to Netflix and Amazon Prime, and it's also easy to cast video from your mobile device to the tv. Throw in a complimentary glass of wine and great customer service, all at reasonable cost.

Luxury place with effortless class and no stuffiness!
Pros:

A beautiful, classy place with a really welcoming vibe. Love the guest lounge and wine down as well as the great guest suites.

Cons:

The guest lounge is great, but I feel it’s not in the spirit of the lounge to then say “don’t take food and drink out of the lounge”.
Shame our chrome cast didn’t work - though the staff did work hard on this and did offer us a swap of rooms when they couldn’t get it to work.

Pleasant overnight stay in Melbourne.
Pros:

My go to hotel when I am in Melbourne. An upgrade was a pleasant surprise and the afternoon drinks and breakfast are very good. My room was ready when I arrived which meant I could check in before I headed out for various appointments.
