Pros:

Room was clean. Cleaning staff were good.

Cons:

People hanging out outside my room all night, every night, smoking, drinking, talking. Prostitutes and druggies all around. One night, 10 police in riot gear with canines and a battering ram raided the room above me

My stay was horrible. Was supposed to stay for 2 nights but left after 1. Will never stay at this facility again
Pros:

Location. That was all. Dog pieces were all over the property. A lot of homeless were hanging out all around the property. Police drove through a couple times.

Cons:

My room smelled musty upon entry. During the night when I turned on the lights I saw cockroaches.

If you can’t afford anything else bring your own blankets/towels and sandals for the shower

The location is great, but not worth the drawbacks. I would not recommend this motel.

Cons:

For the first time in my life I had to request a room change. It was absolutely filthy. Walked into a room that smelled so strongly of bleach it’s safe to assume it was a recent crime scene or brothel. As I started to unpack I went to turn on the bath fan and saw the state of the bathroom and the floors. Long, dark women’s hair everywhere and horrible floors with holes in the laminate that were full of dirt and dust. It was horrible.

Cleaner and more comfortable than I expected,
Pros:

Room was clean, location was nice and within walking distance to the beach. Hope to get another spot next year when I travel with my husband to the channel islands

Cons:

Its a bit sketchy past nightfall, but that's just California for you. If you're kind, others are kind back. There's always white noise from the highway nearby, but it calms down at night.

My grandson and his family were okay with the accommodations
Pros:

The City of Ventura cut off the water supply to a large area by the beach, indefinitely, and they were able to relocate my grandson and his family to another Motel 6 in town.

Cons:

The motel could have been cleaner, according to my grandson. Also, there is a skeezy group of people hanging around the parking lot at night.
