Schönes Hotel, nettes Spa und Personal
Der Balkon war nicht überdacht
En general todo estaba perfecto
El spa pensé que era mas amplio
I recently stayed at AP Dona Aninhas in the heart of Viana do Castelo, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The location couldn’t be better—right in the city center, within walking distance of everything, which made exploring the city effortless.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and truly lives up to its four-star rating, with many amenities including a spa and an indoor pool. The pool was excellent, though guests do need a swimming cap for hygiene—typical in many hotels worldwide. If you don’t have your own, you can purchase one at the front desk for €5, which makes perfect sense for keeping the pool clean.
The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we slept very well throughout our stay. The walk-in shower was very generous in size and easily made up for the fact that, unlike many hotels in Portugal, the room didn’t have a bidet. Breakfast was fresh and varied, though as a potato lover, I couldn’t help but miss them in the spread—just a tiny quirk, not a dealbreaker! Also, a minor note: there were no tissues in the bathroom, but that’s easy to work around.
Parking is convenient and flexible. If you’re lucky enough to find off-street parking just a few meters from the hotel—as we did—it’s free, which is wonderful. Otherwise, the hotel has an agreement with the underground parking next door, which costs only €12 per day. We had no issues finding free parking, but it’s great to have the guaranteed option nearby.
The lobby is lovely, decorated with beautiful traditional statues, pottery, and other items for sale. I bought two statues, and Liliana kindly, warmly, and expertly wrapped them for me to take on the plane—a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special. The music in the public areas was very nice, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Pequeno almoço top
.
Location, big rooms, well furnished, great restaurant and atentive staff
Outside was a bit noisy in the evening.
Mosquitoes around the front door.
No ramp to wheel bag up front steps.
Nada a apontar.
