Very relaxing and comfortable stay with a warm welcome and great food and rooms.
Pros:

Really gorgeous hotel and grounds. Lovely, friendly staff who were very warm and welcoming. My room was really nice and spotlessly clean. Nice toiletries and a great shower. Dinner and breakfast were very good.

Cons:

A couple of the restaurant staff seemed fairly new and green. They were very nice so this isn't a huge negative and people have to learn somewhere. It's just something I noticed.

Great stay. Ideal location.
Pros:

Location perfect for our trip to Great North Swim. Staff friendly and welcoming. Delicious veggie breakfast set me up for the day.

Cons:

Breakfast table was not ready for our group (several rooms wanting to eat together). Staff initially reluctant to make changes to the set-up but then did so promptly.

Pros:

Deckor wes above expectation. Including lthe wall paper in my room i cood not have chosen a better colour or pattern my self the compleat hotell was to the same standered,also the staff had a prsance not seen in any other country or in the UK that i have staid in during my 79 years of my life. Staff like the ones i met need to be reconised fore wat they are also the ground are perfect for walking my dog ( SABA had agreat time with all the staff lf you have a dog this is the only place to stay in the lake district your dog will love it ) alzo the standerd of the meals i had was first class ( ps. The cleaner i met was if the same standard i will defonitly be back again sometime.

Cons:

Nothing it was all to the good.
