Comfortable stay with peaceful surroundings
Pros:

Lovely country house and peaceful! Barn at the back with highlands cows. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Quite a number of steps to the rooms if you have heavy luggages. The fan in one room not really working, no air out despite moving. I guess uk is not prepared for heat waves 😅

I would choose this hotel again :)
Pros:

The bedroom view of the highland cows gave us the straight feeling of being in the Lakes, the hotel staff was very friendly.
Good breakfast, locally sourced products. Doggy welcome bag on arrival was a very thoughful gift.

Cons:

Everything was fantastic, maybe improvements on wifi and maybe local cheeses, meats for continental breakfast would have been nice.
