Beautiful historic accommodation right in the middle of George Town
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel situated perfectly for the exploration of George Town. The are so many excellent restaurants in close vicinity, and the Old Town can be explored right from the doorstep.
Our room (and there are huge differences between the rooms, so this really applies to our room only) was quiet and very spacious. The only thing missing was a small refrigerator.

Cons:

Wifi signal was abysmally bad for a hotel of this category. Once you managed to log in, Wifi was good, but putting up a couple of additional routers should be a priority.
A problem inherent in Booking.com is that this hotel will pop up if you search for accommodation with parking. Only when reading the fine print you see that the only viable parking is a very expensive parking garage a few minutes away - the hotel itself does not offer parking. On the bright side, it was never a problem to find a space in the garage.

Pros:

Beautiful hotel, with garden courtyards and tastefully furnished with antiques and artworks evoking an 18th-19th century house. Gorgeous rooms, large and spotlessly clean and cool. Friendly and very accommodating staff and delicious breakfast.

Cons:

Super séjour
Pros:

The perfect oasis in a buzzing, food-lovers city
Pros:

Such a beautiful building with a really peaceful atmosphere, in a fantastic location in Little India — so many amazing places to eat right on the doorstep or within a short walk. Bedrooms/facilities were spotless and spacious, and perfectly designed. Staff were so friendly and always there to help. Can’t wait to visit again. Loved everything about it!

Pros:

It was a beautiful restored old house. The rooms was very comfortable and the facilities were amazing. There was a kitchen available to store food and drink in and coffee and tea always available.

The staff were also so wonderful and did a turn down service leaving little snacks for us and a gift for our toddler.

Gorgeous building and decor. Nice for a short stay.
Pros:

The location. In the centre of Little India. The staff were exceptional. Kind and thoughtful but also professional.

Cons:

The rooms are lovely but mine was very dark. Mo natural light. No windows other than a shutter that opened into a public space. There is no private fridge-there is a shared ‘hostel’ style large one in the kitchen. It is a VERY noisy building when full of guests. Yes, it is a heritage building and the timber ceiling above the Nutmeg room where I stayed is the floor for the room above. No soundproofing. A family moved in two days before I left and it was incredibly noisy. Footfalls, running, jumping and anything dropped above made for an unpleasant and restless nights’ sleep. I’ve slept in noisier hostels! I expected something quite classy and refined for the cost of the room.
