the reception counter made a mess of the booking. they held us up for one hour before we could get into the room. no welcome drink was served. the lounge was closed by the time we had access to it. finally they us took us to the restaurent.
Room needs to be upgraded
The hotel is in a good central location. The staff were for the most part professional and courteous. The breakfast has an extremely good selection.
The room was quite spacious but it looked sparse due to no rugs on the floor making it look somewhat utilitarian rather than cosy. The windows have an over complicated double blind system and the cords tend to get tangled. But most importantly they let in more light than simpler and more elegant blackout curtains. Also there was no bedside light. These things are the difference between adequate and feeling homely
In addition the restaurant was extremely busy but staff were not organised well. There were raised voices and almost running around like headless chickens with nobody apparently in charge overall. The relaxed atmosphere found in a top class hotel like the Oberoi or Taj group was simply not present..it felt like functioning anarchy.
The person who guides guests to the table should ask at least about tea or coffee or other drinks and ensure that they are delivered to the table. We were never offered this. The staff were working hard..too hard due to the lack of coordination and organisation by a senior manager.

I book 2 rooms with Lounge access and breakfast through Agoda on 7th for my VIP guest from Delhi for the 9th july for a day. On checkin i was told by mr Pratik that there is no record of booking. After 40 mins of coordinating and calling agoda they found the booking and finally gave the key to guest. Later was told breakfat not included in package. Made me pay 1500 per head extra for that. complained with sales person Indranil Roy and asked him to extend the rooms for another night. he gave us a special rate of 9k incl bf and lounge which was 9750 in agoda. next day on check out we are told lounge acces not included in the package so pay 10 k more for use of it on second day. First time experience such petty behaviour in 5 star. WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE ALSO IF YOU HAVE TO CHECK AND CONFIRM BOOKING PROPERLY BEFORE PAYING AND DECIDING. NOT 1 PERSON I FOUND TO BE THERE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
No response from property after sending repeated messages via booking.com
Unresponsiveness and petty issues like when I booked hotel my daughter was 17 and by the time my family stayed my daughter had turned 18 so they reduced the # of people eligible for breakfast to 3 !! This was so hilarious ?!
You don’t expect this behaviour from 5 start property
after paying approx 20 k for 2 days they charge for 1 sprite and took 460 rupee.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel from the very moment I walked through the doors. The warm welcome I received was matched by the genuine professionalism and kindness of the entire team. Everything felt thoughtful, well-organized, and truly customer-focused.
Breakfast was exceptionally good—one of the highlights of my mornings. I also found the gymnasium to be extremely well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped, and it was clear that it’s looked after with great care by the fitness manager, Dave.
I’d also like to extend my appreciation to Saraswati, the lady who cleaned my room. She was consistently kind, respectful, and attentive, which made my stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.
I honestly cannot praise this hotel enough. I’m staying here for six nights, and I will most certainly be back. Thank you for making my trip so pleasant and memorable.
