Staff
The breakfast service was the lone operational bright spot in an otherwise dismal stay. The quality of the food was commendable, and the F&B staff exhibited the exact courtesy and professionalism that is completely absent at the front desk. Frankly, it felt as though the morning team was working overtime on damage control, trying to overcompensate for the sheer incompetence of the rest of the hotel.
The overall staff attitude is abysmal. Stand near the reception for just a few hours, and I guarantee you will witness at least one completely exasperated guest. The baseline operating mode for the majority of the front desk team isn't hospitality; it is unnecessarily adversarial and combative.
The sheer incompetence and lack of transparency regarding room allocations is staggering. After booking a specific room category, I requested rooms on the same floor. I was flatly denied and told that this specific category only features one room per floor. Fast forward through two days of completely unnecessary inconvenience: I asked a different staff member, and a room on our floor miraculously materialized out of nowhere. It is a blatant display of either sheer laziness or outright dishonesty.
Worse are the deceptive billing practices. If you make the mistake of booking an additional room directly at the reception desk, demand an ironclad, written confirmation on paper. Without it, you will likely find an unexplained added markup quietly added to your final bill, forcing you into a drawn-out, exhausting argument with rude people just to get them to honor the agreed-upon rate.
The staff may put on a rehearsed veneer of politeness, but it is entirely disingenuous. I have the names of the primary offenders, but I am withholding them publicly because I do not want to jeopardize individual careers over what is clearly a top-down management and training failure. The single exception to this dismal experience was Giriraj—the only genuinely professional, well-behaved team member on the premises.
This establishment is coasting on shady practices and staff hostility. I expect vastly better, and so should any prospective guest. La gentillesse et la serviabilité du personnel, la taille - très spacieuse - de la chambre, sa propreté. L’ensemble de l’hôtel est très bien tenu et le décor est agréable.
La cuisine qui n’est pas à la hauteur du reste.
Location
Club Lounge was closed to the hotel guests but was open for public functions. There was no exclusive place for guests who had paid for the Club Lounge facility.
Clean and accessible to landmarks
Some receptionists are not well versed in what they should do, what they have to checked. Communication Is very poor to some but some few are exceptional

Staff behaviour
excellent
Nice large rooms in an old heritage building in a good location.
It was loud at night due to neighboring music.
Located well and has genuinely old world charm to it which hasn’t been leveraged. The staff was excellent - particular Alok and the hearing impaired gentleman working at the inhouse breakfast restaurant.
Damp and not very well maintained. Created breathing issues for senior citizens accompanying us. Overall , gave the feel of being a 3.5 star property rather than a bonafide 5 star property.
