The gorgeous room marred by untrained staff
Pros:

A magnificent room marred by poor staff situations caused an erratic stay
Yuy enter the hotel in unstaffed doorway and there is an unstaffed concierge desk with a sign to go up
One floor .

The staff seems truly untrained and unable to answer the most basic of questions from how to ride tram to a location or where to eat . Every question a normal tourist asks seems confusing to answer

We had a magnificent room and sadly the staff is not up

Very Nice Hotel, Excellent Service, Friendly Staff
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay here very much. After a long overnight flight, we were able to check in very early. Gina at the front desk was very helpful. Every staff member we came in contact with was pleasant and provided great service. We also purchased the breakfast package, which included a very nice breakfast buffet with nice options. Bed was comfortable, hotel was very quiet. Good location in CBD and Chinatown. We would stay here again.

Great location fab indoor pool
Pros:

We stayed for 6 nights during the .AO. it is a 15 minute walk to AO and trams to the city are only 5 minutes away. The pool is a great area and would be ideal during winter. Staff were friendly and our cleaner on floor 9 exceptional. The tennis floor was the only disappointment as it was not patronised and closed early before the main matches at AO were started. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay.

Underwhelming and uncomfortable

The bath

Cons:

The beds were terrible, rock hard and what was supposed to be a king bed was 2 singles pushed together which is normal but they were different heights ! There was smoke coming in our room and I couldn't breathe had an asthma attack

Great for proximity to Melbourne Park/Rod Laver, and comfortable, large rooms.
Pros:

The large size of the room, the soft furnishings, the comfy bed and pillows, the marble bathroom, the location in close proximity to Rod Laver Arena, the very attentive staff. The breakfast was good, not amazing, but it met our needs.

Cons:

This is a minor point and overall we had a lovely experience, and rated the hotel as very good (8.0). However, there was an ever so subtle sewerage smell when you entered from level G, which puts you off a bit. It couldn't be detected on level 1 or above thank goodness.

Arrive as a Guest, Stay in the Center of it All

A fantastic, well-located base for exploring Melbourne. The management is highly efficient, the aesthetic is tastefully understated, and the cleanliness is truly second to none. We were pleasantly surprised to have our room ready early on arrival, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful—nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The room itself was a good size with all the amenities you’d expect from a four-star hotel. The reception flow could have been more intuitive, though it ultimately didn't detract from the experience. The location is ideal for exploring the main attractions, yet it was quiet at night, allowing for a great night’s sleep. This stay offered fantastic value for the money. We’ll definitely be returning and won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot.

Generally we were very happy with our stay.
Pros:

The room was spacious enough for 2. The bathrooom was very nice and clean.
The dining area was great and the breakfast was excellent.
The chef was very obliging allowing us to freeze 2 small ice packs for the tennis. He was very friendly as were all the staff. Very impressed with the staff with their helpfulness and friendliness.

Cons:

There was a smell in the foyer and inside in the hallways that smelt like the sewer. It was very unpleasant.
Although the hotel was terrific, we didn’t like the fact that it was across the road from parking lots.
