Hotel Central am See

Lake views amazing, not many food options around.

The view was a Fairy Tale. I’m from AZ so was to cold for me to go into the pool. The wait staff Nicholas and Matz made our stay very fun. Will plan another trip there someday.

Hotel Central Am See is a lovely place. I gave four stars because of no AC. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are very modern.
Often times hotel restaurants are substandard but this one is quite good. It’s nice to have the option to eat on site after a long day of sightseeing.
The location is quiet and as pictures show right on the lake! Weggis isn’t a cute little village but the location is convenient. The ferry and bus stop is a 7 minute walk away. The ferry is 40 mins into Lucern and is 15 CHF for one way. The bus takes about the same amount of time and you have to transfer to get to Lucerne but it is 7 CHF. Parking at the hotel is limited. We never saw an empty spot. We parked in a free parking garage a 10 min walk away but the walk is up hill all the way. So that might be hard for some. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Our second stay at this hotel: what a stunning improvement the refurbishment has made! We were in room 115 - a decent size, everything in good order, and a small balcony with superb lake view. The location, just 300m from the boat station & bus stop, is perfect for trips. All the staff are friendly, responsive and professional - well done!
Breakfast & dinner were excellent with a good range of high quality food. Service was fast and efficient during the week but the restaurant was seriously understaffed at the weekend, causing long waits between courses.
We loved the hotel and highly recommend it. We would happily stay here again, hoping that restaurant staffing issues had been addressed.

Super Pool und Privatstrand alles direkt am See. Frühstück direkt am Ufer - top. Leider keine Klimaanlage wegen dem Denkmalschutz. Zimmer dadurch sehr heiß!!

Tolle Lage, schönes, denkmalgeschütztes Hotel. Leider keine Klimaanlage. Unterm Dach war es seeehr heiss! Freundliches Personal. Nur das Frühstück Servicepersonal war irgendwie nicht vorhanden.

Beautiful view, beautiful pool right on the lake, and great staff.

We visited Weggis for the first time as a family and stayed at the Hotel Central am See, which is in a wonderful setting directly overlooking the lake.

The rooms and hotel have been recently renovated to a high standard, the quality of food at the restaurant was superb for both adults and children. The direct access to the lake and infinity pool make it feel like a luxurious stay.

What made the trip stand out for us was the friendliness and welcome we received from all the front of house staff, very attentive and helpful. I particularly enjoyed conversations about the merits of FC Basel and Zurich (we were staying for the Women’s Euro) and a special mention to Vanya who made our evening meal at the restaurant a wonderful experience for us and the kids. Thank you,

We will definitely be back to explore more of the region and this is the ideal base to do so!

Fui viajar em 2 casais e só entregaram uma chave do hotel para os dois, tinhamos que ficar pedindo para outra pessoa abrir o hotel. Foi informado que havia ar condicionado mas não podíamos usar. Péssimo

Such a beautiful hotel. Seems newly resonated. Great location. Walkable from the boat stop. Shocked they are a 3 star hotel. Would consider to be a 4 star easily. The pool was amazing with easy access to the lake. Would definitely make a trip back and stay again.

Fint hotel i fine omgivelser. Vi hadde rom i 4 etg hvor det ikke var mulig å bruke air-condetition, da begrunnet av hotellet grunnet manglende godkjenning...
Ellers mye bra, da inkl frokosten.

The hotels is nice and renovated. It was really hot outside, 37°C, airconditioning is not working yet due to regulations, this is not mentioned in the booking details, we had to sleep in a very hot room. They did offer us 2 fans. But they were so small it didnt help much. They are ordening new fans to keep guests happy.

Hotel is expensive, diner has an excellent view but the prices are just to high.

Breakfast is ok, we did have to wait 30min for some fruit because the plate was empty.

Lille, hyggeligt hotel med utroligt venligt og serviceorienteret personale. Fantastisk beliggenhed lige ned til Luzernsøen. Dejlig have med skøn infinitypool.

Beautiful, quiet location 5 mins from ferry station in Weggis which had little impact on our experience and our 2nd floor room overlooking the terrace and lake was fantastic. They are getting so much right, pristine room with comfortable furniture and bed, all amenities. Shower room spacious and great shower.
Buffet breakfast what was provided was very good but I do think they could have provided more fruit choices than melon and pineapple and cereal choices. 10 choices of tea but would have liked english breakfast as one of them! Evening meal food very good too, although service could be swifter between courses.
Improvements needed, air con fitted but awaiting ratification (apology notice on wall) , more coat hangers and perhaps some artwork? As well as a QR code, surely a paper version of hotel information in the room would be useful?
Staff all competent and professional at all times but not over friendly but I put this down to english not being their first language.

My wife and I had the best experience here!
